Chapter 2: Bonding

(AREUM POV)

Hobi grabs my bags out of Rin’s car then brings them towards the house as I follow slowly from behind him. “Oh… umm… by the way I have a few of my friends over right now… is that okay with you?” he asks “ of course! It’s fine… I need to make more friends anyway” I told him. He then unlocks the door, “ ladies first” he says while opening the door wide enough for me to walk in. “ Woah!! Your house is beautiful” I said while I started admiring the beautiful living room that I seen. “ Thanks… make yourself feel at home!” Hobi says while patting my head. “ Unnie!!! Come here!!! I want you to meet Mark!” I hear Rin yell from another room, I look back at Hobi who’s struggling to hold all my bags “ go ahead… I’ll bring your bags to your room” he says while giving me a big bright smile.

“ Ok, thanks Oppa!!” “ you’re welcome” he says before walking up the stairs with my bags. “ Unnie??!!” Rin yells “ Yes? Where are you Rin??” I yell. I start walking down the hallway trying to follow where her voice was coming from. Before I can walk any farther Rin’s little head pops out of a room, “ I’m right here Unnie!” she says “ oh… hahaha sorry I took so long I didn’t know where you were..” “ It’s okay Unnie!! Come in” she says while gesturing for me to come in the room she was in. I walk in and seen people sitting on the couch, the first thing that catches my eye is a girl sitting on top of someone’s lap, kissing their neck.

I looked at them feeling very disgusted, it made me feel so uncomfortable. “ Mark!!!” Rin yells, making everyone stop what they’re doing and look at her. Even the girl stopped kissing the guys neck, I looked around and noticed everyone was looking at me. “ oh.. I’m sorry I haven’t introduced myself… my name is Areum” I said while bowing. Everyone got and got into a line for some odd reason, Rin seemed uninterested so she walked away. I stood there staring at them awkwardly waiting for them to do something. A very handsome guy walked up to me “ Hello Areum I’m Jimin, but you can call me Chimchim” he said while smiling cutely.

A few other people introduced themselves, their names were Taehyung, BamBam, Namjoon and Jackson. There were only two people left who didn’t introduce themselves, It was the girl and boy who were kissing on the couch. The boy studied my body from bottom to top, then smirked at me. He started walking closer to me, until his “girlfriend” grabbed his arm and pulled him closer to her. He rolled his eyes then looked back at me, “ what’s wrong?? Your girlfriend seems really sweet” I said while smiling at the girl, she just looked at me disgusted. Wow! For once I was trying to be nice, and this is what I get in return?? You know what?? Skip her! I thought while I continued to smile at her. Out of nowhere the guy she’s holding onto, grabs my hand, I looked up at him. ( because he’s taller than me )

He looked pissed, so I decided to let go the fact that his girlfriend was being a clingy bitch. A few seconds he started smiling.

He brought my hand closer to his face, and kissed it gently.

I looked at him in shock, as his girlfriend is literally standing right next to him. “ Hello Areum, I’m Jungkook” he says while letting go of my hand and leaning closer to me. “ 너 되게 섹시하다 ( you’re so sexy )” he whispers into my ear, I took a step back away from him as I felt my face getting hotter. He was going to say something else until the girl interrupted him, “ Hi!!! I’m Irene.. I’m Jungkook’s girlfriend!” she says while wrapping her arm around his waist “ not for long” Jungkook mumbles, I started laughing. “ What was that kookie?” she asked him “ nothing” he says while winking at me,

My face once again started turning crimson red. “ Mark?? Where are you??” someone calls from behind me. I turn around and seen Rin, she looked so worried “ Rin are you ok??” I ask her “ I can’t find Mar-” she suddenly stopped talking. She was staring at something, I followed her gaze… and seen Mark in a suit with his hands behind his back.

“ Baby…” he says while walking closer, “ I know today is a very special day for you… when I heard your best friend was coming back today… I wanted to do something special for the both of you” he says while smiling at Rin and I. He grabs my left hand, brings it towards his face and kisses it. “ Hello Areum,  I’m Mark… I absolutely love your best friend with all my heart, I hope you can accept me as her boyfriend” he says while letting go of my hand and bowing. I bow back to him, “ it’s nice to finally meet you Mark, I’ve heard alot about you” I said. “ I got you guys something..” he says. He suddenly pulls out 2 bouquets of red roses.

Instantly I noticed that one of them had golden sparkles on the top and the other one had white flowers and roses.

“ Here Areum I got these for you” he says while handing me the bouquet with red and white flowers “ thank you” I told him. He then looked over to Rin and smiled while grabbing her hand. He intertwined their fingers and kissed her passionately on the lips. I stood there awkwardly waiting for them to stop kissing, luckily the kiss didn’t last much more than a minute. “ I got these for you Jagi” he says while handing her the other bouquet of flowers, “ I love you so much!!!” she says while hugging him. Awwww they’re so cute!! I hope they stay together, I thought. Rin slowly broke out of the hug, “ Jagiya… would you mind if I talk to Areum for a little bit in private??” “ No, not at all! Go ahead…” she says while smiling at me. Me??? Why does he want to talk to me in private?? “Areum?” “ would you mind if I talk to you in private?” “ no… I don’t mind” I told him, “ ok… come with me” he says while gesturing me to follow him. I follow him, within a few seconds we were outside in front of a pool.

I run over to the pool extremely excited, I heard Mark laughing from behind me. “ No wonder you and Rin are best friends” he says “ hey what’s that supposed to mean?!” I asked while dipping my feet into the pool “nothing… you guys just act like sisters… like your the same person” he says while smiling at me brightly and sitting at the edge the pool with me, “ thanks… I consider her family along with Hobi” “ well, I hope one day you will consider me family as well” he says “ I’ve already considered you family, but one thing that I will say is that, if you ever hurt her.. don’t ever expect me trust you again” I tell him.  “ Thank you Areum for trusting me with your bestfriends heart, and don’t worry I would never hurt her! I love her so much” he says “ you’re welcome” “ hey… how would you feel if I asked her to marry me soon?” he asked while looking down at the water, “ OH MY GOWD!!!!  You’re going to ask her to marry you??? When???” I asked him “ I wanted to ask her on her birthday and plan out the whole day so she has a wonderful birthday” “ awwww! You’re such a great boyfriend or should I say soon to be husband?” I ask “ yaahh! Don’t make fun of me… I really love her and I just want her to feel special” he says while blushing. “Please don’t tell her that I’m planning all this! I really want to surprise her” “ don’t worry I won’t”. “ ARE YOU GUYS COMING IN FOR DINNER?” someone yells from inside the house, we exchange looks before shaking our heads, “ NO WE’LL WAIT” Mark yells back “ OK”. “ So what do you say… we head out the house and start bonding, since I’ll be marrying your best friend soon.
