Chapter 6: Oaken's Trading Post..& Sauna

Anna and Nora have been riding their horse for hours through the trail of snow as the sun risen upon the two, and both were getting a bit restless.

Nora looked at her sister, eyes filled with concern for one, she just got engaged to a guy, she just met, but right now she had to worry about the fact, that her oldest sister, Elsa was somewhere all on her own, so she put Hans aside to focus on now because they could work it out later.

"Elsa!" They both called "Elsa!" Anna called again.

"Elsa! Elsa! Elsa, It's me, Anna. Your sister who didn't mean to make you freeze the summer. I'm sorry. It's...it's all my f-f-fault! Of course, none of it would have happened if she'd just told us her secret." Anna exclaimed out loud, before she turned around to Nora, who nodded in agreement with her last statement.

Suddenly a tree branch snaps startling their horses causing them to panic, knocking Anna and Nora off them onto snow covered ground and the horses ran off.

"No, no, no, come back, please!!" They called out.

"No, no no"

The sisters groaned in defeat as Anna pushed the branch from on top of them, but instead launched a pile of snow.

"Great, a blanket of freezing cold snow to keep us warm." Nora groaned sarcastically under her breath tired.

After hours and hours of walking, it had became night, and the sisters still traveled through the snow, shivering in the cold of darkness.

"Snow, it had to be snow, She couldn't have had tropical magic that covered the fjords in white sand and warm..." Anna complained as Nora tired herself, until she looked up and saw smoke from a distance, which means "Fire!"

"Yes, Nora, exactly!" Anna nodded, Nora rolled her eyes and tapped Anna's shoulder "No, Fire!", she pointed to the direction of the smoke and they both smiled in complete relief.

"Fire!" they said at the same time, chuckling to themselves, and suddenly they slipped and went tumbling down the snowy hill and landed in the lake at the bottom, they both stand and try to walk out of the water, their dresses freezing in the process.

They notice the cabin straight ahead and as fast as they could they rushed over to it, and dusted off the snow covering the sign

Revealing it's title "Wandering Oaken's Trading Post", they then notice a much smaller sign under it "Ohh, and Sauna".

Anna and Nora opened the door and made their way inside, looking around at the nice antiques, and soon they were met with a loud "Hoo-hoo".

Startled, they turn to be greeted by a large, yet friendly man.

"Big summer blow out. Half off swimming suits, clogs, and a sun balm of my own invention, yah?" he said with a cheerful smile.

"Oh, great. For now, uh...how about boots? Winter boots and dresses?" Anna asked, Nora nodding in agreement.

"That would be in our winter department." Oaken pointed to the area which is empty except for two outfits, two pairs of boots, a rope and axe.

The girls picked up their dresses and boots, and placed it on the counter. "So we were just wondering has another young woman, the Queen perhaps, I don't know, passed through here?" Anna asked.

"Only one crazy enough to be out in this storm is you, dear".

Suddenly the door went open and a man dressed in snow gear, all covered in snow.

"You two and this fellow! Hoo-hoo. Big summer blow out".

The mysterious man walks up to Anna and Nora and stares directly at them as they tried to not make eye contact.

"Carrots!" He exclaimed, and they both looked at him confused "I beg your pardon?" Nora asked politely.

"Carrots...behind you!"

"Oh! Right, Excuse us!" Anna said flustered as she moved to side, Nora following behind.

"Woh, a real howler in July, yes? Where ever could it be coming from?" Oaken asked as the mysterious man goes and picks up the rope and axe from the sparse winter department.

"The North Mountain".

Anna and Nora looked at each other in realization, maybe that's where Elsa is?!

Timeskipping the talking

"Okay, just tell me one thing. What was happening on the North Mountain? Did it seem magical?" Anna asked.

The mysterious man groaned in annoyance and pulls down the scarf to reveal himself as none other than Kristoff and looks at Anna and Nora.

"Yes! Now, back up while I deal with this crook here".

Oaken stood up from his counter revealing his tall stature and boy, was he huge!

"What did you call me?"

Anna and Nora softly gasped as they watched Oaken carry Kristoff by his whole body and threw him, face flat into the snow.

Oaken made his way back to the counter "I'm sorry about this violence. I will add a quart of lutefisk, so we'll have good feelings. Just the outfit and boots, yah"?

Anna and Nora looked at each other before looking down at Kristoff's supplies, and they couldn't help but felt a sense of sympathy for the grumpy guy.

After Anna and Nora changed into their winter clothes, and fixed our hair, Anna fixing her hair into pigtail braids, while Nora put her short hair into a double braid back.

But before, they left, Nora purchased for a map and a compass, so they can find their way, and a satchel, and they were on their way.

They both made their way to find Kristoff to bring him his gear and carrots, suddenly they heard singing coming from barn, that was just right next to the Trading Post, it must be him.

Anna and Nora barged into the barn looking at Kristoff sat up from the hay from right by his reindeer with a lute in hand, "Nice duet" they complimented.

Kristoff rolled his eyes "Oh it's just you two. What do you want?"

"We need you to take us up the North Mountain."
Anna said

"I don't take people" Kristoff  said begrudgingly about to go to sleep, ignoring the princesses plead.

Nora wasn't having any of this, even if she didn't want to be harsh, she knew she had to put her foot down, and just as Anna was about to speak, she beat her to it.

"Let me rephrase what my dear sister said..." Nora stood her ground and gently jerked the supplies from Anna's hand and threw it right into his ribs as he winced in pain, and he asked for it.

Anna's eyes widened in surprise at her sister, sure she knew that Nora was smart for her age and that she would always speak her mind in certain matters, but her own little sister actually threw that bag with such force as her own.

"Take us up the north mountain, please?!" Nora asked firmly, yet politely, going back to her sensible manner.

Kristoff looked inside the bag, finding the axe and rope, that he didn't manage to pay for.

"Look, we know how to stop this winter." Anna said. The princesses looking at Kristoff with pleading eyes.

Kristoff groaned and lies back down again

"We leave at dawn...and you forgot the carrots for Sven".

Another bag was thrown at Kristoff's stomach, and this time, it was thrown by Anna, and it was the bag of carrots

"Oops. Sorry. Sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't..." Anna apologized before she realizing what she was saying and cleared her throat, "We leave now. Right now".

Anna stride out the door.

Lisbet looked at both Kristoff and Sven.

"I'm sorry about this....and that I hit you earlier...I'm Nora and that's my sister, Anna, if you're curious".

"Wasn't!"

'Well, he's a gentleman' Nora thought to herself, but she shook that off and ignored it.

"Okay....well, I like your reindeer, I always wanted to see one up close".

"Nora, come on, we have to get going!" Anna called.

"Oh right, well we better get going, and before we go, I wanna say thanks for your help, we really appreciate it." Nora said before walking away to meet with her sister, leaving an aggravated Kristoff watches her walk out, then offers Sven, a carrot as he takes a bite and then Kristoff, himself had a bite.

This was gonna be a long trip.
