{Authors POV}

Ash's eyes slowly opened, it was the second day of the Academy. Finally! It was like yesterday would never end, yesterday for him... well wasn't the best.

Ash went downstairs and hugged his sister and parents goodbye going out the door to find his griffon waiting for him. He struggled to get on and without warning, it flew off like a lightning bolt.

It landed in the same pen and Ash looked at the Academy again, how would he EVER get used to its size? Ash closed the pen door sighing as he looked at a clock, he really needed to stop sleeping in. The bell was going to ring in like 10 minutes!

Ash looked around there were some Weather Sparks playing airball and then to the left of him, there was a Nature and Earth Spark talking calmly to each other. And a little way in front of Ash was a Weather Spark who looked lonely as well.

Ash debated to go over and say hi, he finally pushed himself over to the Weather Spark, who knows maybe she could be a friend, at least he's starting better off than yesterday. "Hello!" Ash forced himself to speak. The Weather Spark turned around with a kind expression. "Hi." She responded.

"You looked a bit lonely, I was wondering if we could be-" It was a mistake saying lonely because the Weather Spark cut him off. "What do you mean?!?! I'm not lonely! Oh my goodness! How could you say that?!?!? Ugh Fire Sparks." She rolled her eyes and walked off.

Rude. A growl rose in Ash's throat, what's the big idea? He was only greeting her.

Later:

Ash checked his schedule and went to get his science books from his locker. Ash looked for the right class and opened the door to it he found a seat and then that same Weather Spark from before was RIGHT NEXT TO IT. She slammed her paw on the seat and said "Taken. For one of my 'friends." Ash wanted to scream at her! Weren't they passed this?!?!

Ash went off rolling his eyes and found a different seat even though the one next to the girl was EMPTY. The teacher started and gave us each potion to work with. Later on, the bell rang in that nice toon and we were all dismissed. At the break, I decided to go see the Nature Spark and Earth Spark I saw earlier and try talking to them.

"Hello," I said they both looked at me as I studied them, the Nature Spark was tiny, as they all usually are. She wore a flower crown and a striped pink and black scarf with a leaf charm holding it together. The Earth Spark looked calm, he wore a black bandana with purple eyes and an earthy brown coat.

"Uhm..."  the small one shimmied behind the Earth Spark, "Hi, my name is Sprint, your new?" Sprint asked me piping up for the Nature Spark. "Yes, I am!" Ash said quickly making well progress. "Cool. Frost and I are too, we just met this morning." 

"Care to be friends?" Ash asked, Sprint looked pleased and nodded his head. At lunch, the three of us sat next to each other. Ash and Frost got to know one another better.

The next day:

{Luna's POV}

Ugh! I jumped off Sky as I saw that Fire Spark already making NEW friends while me over here with None! I looked for the nearest lonely Spark I can see but I saw no one! Until I found a Shadow Spark reading a book and holding it up, flipping the pages with his magic. It looked like the spellbook we go yesterday in the Element class.

The Shadow Sparks fur was the common color of purple but with stripes, he had gleaming yellow eyes and with purple smoke for his tail and heals. I rushed over there and quickly said "Hi! Wanna be friends?" The Shadow Spark looked at me and opened his mouth to speak.

"Great! What's your name? I am Luna!" The Shadow Spark set the book down and spoke out "Tiger-" "Great!" I exclaimed.

Sooner at lunch, I blurted out to Tiger of me and that Fire Spark's problem. "Well... You didn't really give me a chance. He was trying to be your friend." He suggested I sighed, I hate to admit it but he did have a point. "But even if I did go say 'sorry' to him or whatever he would probably reject me," I said looking at the group of three in the lunchroom.

Tiger looked up at me again, "Well it's worth trying. Just try tomorrow okay?" He asked and I nodded my head in return as the bell rang.

I got up the next day and flew off to the academy remembering what Tiger said. I climbed off Sky and looked at the Fire Spark and his friends. I took a deep breath and went to grab Tiger, I finally made my way towards them and inhaled one more time before saying something.

The Fire Spark turned around and he bared his teeth, this was going to be harder than I thought but I forced the words out. "Sorry for what I said yesterday, it was very rude of me."  The Fire Spark smiled "It's fine. You said sorry at least. What's your name anyway?" He asked "Luna" I replied.

"Well I am Ash, this is Frost and Sprint." I studied both of them, "This is Tiger." I said looking at him as he stepped up.
