Roommates

{Flow's POV}

I woke up and got ready my mom hugged me bye and I was off. Spice landed in her pen. weird, where was everyone? As I walked to the group tree with Ivy and we stopped to see Frost waiting for us.

"Where is everyone?" Ivy spoke before me, "they all went to get their dorms. Ash suggested that I wait for you, I mean we are roommates after all." huh. I wonder why we didn't have dorms last year..? I wondered, well nice to know I'm not with anyone random.

"Oh. Ivy, you are with Flicker. Your room number 450. Flicker has the key." She commented, Ivy, nodded and went through the doors to the Academy.  "Common, let me show you our room," Frost said as she walked inside as well.

"Do our parents know this? Will we see them?" 

"Yes. And no. They know you getting dorms, that's why they packed your bag, it should be waiting for you inside the dorm already. No, you won't see them, well not until weekends or breaks." "oh."

Later...

I sighed almost at the end of the day. I walked to the court for the gym, to my surprise there were griffons lined up including Spice. I went up next to Ash, "Why are there griffons on the field?" I asked him "I don't know." He responded, our gym teacher who was a pure white and grey earth spark, Mr. Wing, came up to us. 

"Alright... Let me start with the announcements.." He took a pause and pulled out a sheet of paper then looked back up. "Well, here soon we will have a dance. In a couple of months the Springfall festival... and..." he trailed off again.

"Nothing more. So you guys are probably wondering why your griffons are here. Well, we are starting something new this year." He looked up at everyone and looked and then started speaking again, "You all should know how to ride your griffons, for those who are new, you will just have to practice. Alright, so, you all will be racing on your griffons on this track. There will also be obstacle courses. Right now we will just warm up, tomorrow we start."
And with that, he walked off.

Everyone rushed to their griffons greeting them and jumping on. I got on Spice and like a bolt she took off. Almost everyone was in a line ready to start a practice race. I joined the line and so did Ash.

"3..2..1..." Someone called from in the order, "GO!" With that we took off, I raced my way to 4th place which was pretty good out of the 15 there. Ash was in second, I gave Spice some words of encouragement and she went a bit faster. Finally, everyone reached the end of the court and Ash ended up in first, leaving me in second. Pretty good though.

After gym class was over it was time to go to our dorms. Luna had told me that the dance was in a couple of days only for the second and third years though, so that meant Zelda and Ivy won't be going. Ivy is our youngest person at the academy. Well, she really just walks around campus all day going to a couple of classes. 

I went inside my dorm and sighed.
