GAIA Mitchell had been to hell, burned there, tortured, brainwashed, and back, all with a smile on her face. At the ripe age of...newborn baby, the gods decided the girl would be a great new candidate to use for their pleasure. To torture, watch her fall down and struggle to get back up. To be put through so much pain and hurt that she didn't understand someone so young shouldn't have to know about, let alone experience. And the gods loved every minute of it. A human fated to suffering, their own personal lifelong movie, spinning on an endless loop until the girl would perish.

SHE didn't make it easy for them. The girl wouldn't let them have the satisfaction of watching her break, watching her slowly lose pieces of herself until death. No. She wouldn't do that. Gaia was like the sun. She was so passionate about what she loved and the people around her. The girl always wanted the well-being of others, even if it meant she would be hurt in the process. The blonde always had a big toothy smile on her face. She was the light in a dark room, the gold coin in a sleeve of silver ones. Everybody loved her. There was something just so innocent and pure about the girl to anyone around her. And all the planets revolved around the sun.

RICHARD Webber. Gaia's adopted father after her mother's tragic death. Richard, Ellis Grey, and her mother were the best of friends. They all worked at the Seattle Grace Hospital and had an inseparable bond since the day they met. Her mother's death was horrible. Nobody knew the cause, or what was even wrong with her. They couldn't do anything to save her. She was gone. Just like that. Gaia was raised by Richard, he became her father. Always there for her, teaching her, comforting her, and protecting her. She grew up to be the person she is today because of him.

A surgical resident at the Seattle Grace Hospital. Along with her friends, some not with her today, Gaia had successfully sought out her wish to become a surgeon like her mother. To follow in her footsteps. And she was amazing, specializing in psych patients which is not the direction anyone expected. Richard did not ultimately approve of her decision considering the risks, but no one would change her mind. She had this...connection to what she did an unspoken idea that she wanted, needed to help those who couldn't help themselves.

BUT all good things come to an end. The merge. Seattle Grace and Mercy West, two hospitals now one. Orange in a sea of blue. Gaia's friends aren't fond of the Mercy Westers, but she welcomed them with an open heart as she did with everyone. Even though her heart was frozen didn't mean she couldn't still be nice, right? Jackson Avery. The million-dollar man. One look from him into her soul and she was a goner. Frozen things do thaw out after all. Because...
