Remember the Past

Pitch

            I started to pace in my room, I couldn’t stand still. I had her, she was so close. I’ve been waiting for years to have this power and she… She can’t control herself? “Pitch, you’re driving me nuts with this pacing. Can you please sit down?” I hear Mimi say from the couch. I look at her and she just has a small fire in her hand. She’ll blow it out then make it reappear again. “Well you stop; you’ll burn down my house.” I growl. She puts it out and sighs, “You’re worrying about nothing. I know how to control my powers. Unlike some people.” God this girl pisses me off but yet, I can’t help but love her.

            Her dark hair hanged loosely as she watches me. “What’s the plan? You know she won’t be alone now with frost bite around her.” I sigh and sit next to her. She puts her hand on my knee. “We have to get her Mimi… She is the key to everything. If we have her… No one can stop us.” I say with a smile. “You think you can give kids nightmare with a fire girl and ice queen?” I lay my head back on the couch. “That was the best job. Till the damn Guardian made me into a joke.”

            I thought back on that day. How they send me back under the bed to be hidden away. Till I found Mimi and found out that there was someone like her and Elsa. But I did wonder… How didn’t Frost remember me? He is the one who stopped me. And it looks like he can’t control the wind and frost anymore. I look back at Mimi; she died the tips of her hair red, almost like blood. “You know you’re my girl right?” She rolls her eyes, “For now, till you get your hands on Elsa.” I put my arm around her, and make her look at me. “You will always be my girl.” And I kiss her. Her lips are warm, almost making my lips on fire.

            When I pull back she’s smiling. “I better be.” I stand and grab her hand, “Come on, we’ll think of something upstairs.” Her smile gets bigger as she starts to mess with my shirt. “We always get our best ideas there.” I laugh and pull her upstairs.

Jack

            I’m on a lake, in the woods. I don’t know how I got there but when I look around, I see North and Sandy. North looks older, with a beard and a big belly while Sandy was still small next to him, but he was almost glowing gold. The next two, looked like Bunny and Tooth but Tooth had wings, and she had feathers all over her body and Bunny was well… a big bunny. Where was I? ‘You can’t get rid of me! Not Forever! There will always be fear!’ I hear, I look in front of me and see Pitch. He was much taller and older and he was gray. Like really gray and he was wearing black.

            ‘So what? As long as one child believes, we will be here to fight fear!’ I hear North yell. Everyone nods or yells in agreement. Then we saw these sandy black horses. They started to chase Pitch away. After Pitch left, we were alone with all these kids, asking me questions on why I was leaving. My mouth talked before I could stop it. Then I was in a sleigh with North, and Bunny, Tooth and Sandy were flying next to us. “Where are we going?” I ask North. He laughs a jolly laugh. “Home my friend; we go back to our lives.

            “I back at the North Pole, Tooth back to her home, and Bunny to his and Sandy…” He looks at Sandy. Sandy makes a moon and looks at me. “Well there you have it. Sandy will be with Man in moon.” The man on the moon…. Who was he? “Frost, where are you going to go?” “I don’t know.” I grab a staff and jump off the sleigh and call the wind to take me somewhere. The wind finally stops at a small house with two little girls playing outside in the snow.

            “Do the magic! Do the magic!” I hear a small little red head say as another girl with light blonde head giggles. I land on a tree and watch. The light blonde head girl starts to move her hand and I see snow come out from her hands. I feel my heart stop, she’s just like me. I watch as they make a snowman together, and play in the snow till their parents come out to get them. They looked so happy. But the light blonde head stops out by the door and looks up at me. I feel my breath catch in my throat. ‘Jack… Wake up.’

            “Jack? Wake up.” I hear as I slowly open my eyes to see Elsa lying next to me. A blanket is covering her body but I can see her shoulder sticking out. God she looked beautiful, her hair was a mess but she was smiling and her light blue eyes were shinning. “You were talking in your sleep.” She said with a giggle. “Oh did I? What did I say?” I say and move close to her. I pull her into my arms and hold her close. “You said something about magic. You said, do the magic. Twice.” She laughs. “Why are you laughing?” I ask putting my forehead to hers. “It’s just funny because, when me and Anna were little, she would always say, ‘do the magic’ when she wanted me to make it snow.” I feel my eyes wide. Just like my dream. Were Elsa and Anna the girls from my dream? What was happening?

            “Are you okay Jack?” She asks, I see that she’s worried. I can feel it through her body. “Yes I’m sorry. I should get home for a bit. God Jenny must be worried about me.” I say as I start to change. I see her get out of bed and I freeze. Her back is turned to me to all I can see is her long blonde hair goes down her back and a little bit of her behind. It’s making me want to stay. “Umm… Is… Anna and Kristoff home?” I ask finally looking away. “They should be. I’ll be fine Jack. Just… Come back soon. Please?” I put on my pants and shirt and go to her. I kiss her one last time. “Of course, nothing can stop me from coming home to you.” I see her smile as I walk away from the house.

            I hate to leave Elsa but… I think me and Jenny need to have a talk.

            “Jenny!” I yell as I walk into my house. “Jack Overland Frost!” I hear her yell back. Damn, she was pissed. I see her walk around the hall and man was she mad. She just stopped and looks at me tapping her foot. “Where the hell have you been!? I have been worried sick. And…” She stops and look behind the hall. Out walks my father. His wearing a white suit and his white hair is combed back.  I glare, “What are you doing here?” “Can’t I see my family?” He asks with no tone in his voice.

            “You haven’t in a few years John.” I see him sigh, “Jack. We need to talk.” “I agree for once.” We all walk into the living room and sit. Jenny and John on one couch and me in a chair on the other side. “Why didn’t you call me? You know better.” Jenny says with sadness in her voice. “Are you my real father?” I ask without even thinking. I see both of them catch their breath. “Why would you ask that?” John asks looking at me. I sigh, “I had this dream… And I don’t think it was a dream, I think it was a memory. And I was Jack Frost. The Jack Frost, the guardian of fun. The one who controls the wind and frost.”

            “That’s re….” “Manny… Stop.” I hear Jenny say. Wait… Did she just call my father Manny? That wasn’t his name. My father looks at her. “Do you think it’s really time to tell him?” he asks her. She nods. “Tell me what?” I ask. My father sighs, “You’re right. I’m not your real father.” “Then who are you?” I see Jenny grab his hand. “My name is Manny, or as others calls me, Man in Moon.”
