My Memories

Jack

            I walked into my room and sat by the window, I held my staff tight in my hands. All my memories were in here. All my past life lives in this staff. I sigh, Elsa, I know you can hear me. I just want you to know I’ll be late. I promise I’ll explain when I get home. I love you. I think to Elsa, knowing she’ll hear me. I close my eyes, okay here we go.

            My memoires came back fast and quick, starting with me dying, then being Jack Frost, being invisible for years, asking to join the Guardians, defeating Pitch then becoming the Guardian of Fun. But when I open my eyes, I was in a tree looking down at two little girls playing. One with red hair and the other with light blonde hair, I know I remember this. I watch as the girls go in the house, I can’t help but follow. I follow the girl with the light blonde hair up to her room. She sits on her bed and starts to play with one of her toys. I look around her room; she had dolls, princess and tons of stuff animals.

            “You can talk to me you know. I won’t hurt you.” I hear. I turn to the little girl, she just staring at me. “You can see me?” I ask shocked. She nods, “Why wouldn’t I?” She asks while she still plays with her doll. “A lot of people can’t see me. I think you’ll be the only one who can.” “So you’re like my secret friend?” She asks. “If that’s what you want. Yeah.” She nods and looks at her doll. “Why did you follow me in to my room?” She asks not looking at me. “I don’t know, maybe because you’re like me?” She looks up, “Like you?” I smile and make a snow frost bunny, we watch as it bounces around the room. Her baby blue eyes shine as she watches. “Wow… I can’t do that! I can only make it snow and make snowmen.”

            “You’ll get there when you’re older.” I say with a smile. She smiles back, “What’s your name?” “Jack Frost. What’s yours?” I ask as I sit by her on the bed. “Elsa Winter.” “Elsa, that’s a beautiful name. How old are you?” She hands me a doll to play with her, I should but I can’t help it. “I’m ten. I’ll be eleven though in a few months. How old are you?” She asks as she hands me a brush. “Eighteen.” She didn’t have to know I was eighteen when I died. “You remind me of my sister Emma.” I say with sadness in my voice.

            “Was she my age or Anna’s age?” Elsa asks. “Who’s Anna?” I ask back brushing the dolls hair; Elsa was giving me a look because I wasn’t brushing the dolls hair. “She’s my sister. She doesn’t have powers like me. She’s only seven.” I smile, “Emma was ten when I last saw her, she’s much older now.” Elsa looks up at me with her big eyes, “Did you two get into a fight?” “No, I just had to leave. It’s a long story. I’ll tell you when you get older.” I say. She nods and keeps brushes her dolls hair till we hear a knock at the door. “Elsa?” The door opens and I see an older version of Elsa, but she has brown hair and it’s up in bun, this must been their mother. “Elsa my love, it’s time for bed.” She walks up to Elsa and puts her in bed. “I love you baby.” Her mother says and kisses her on the forehead. “Love you too mother.”

            Her mother smiles and walks out the door. Elsa looks at me, “Will you stay the night and lay with me?” She asks. “Sure, why not.” I lay next to her till she falls asleep, that night; I knew I had to protect this girl. No matter what.

            A few years later, Elsa still sees me, she’s sixteen now. And she’s grown into a beautiful young lady now. We’re outside watching the clouds.  She knows all about me, but she still wants to be with me as a friend but I want more. “Jack, my birthday is tomorrow.” She says with a smile. “I know. I got you something.” She rolls close to me, “You did? Well give it to me!” She says. “No way, your birthday is tomorrow, you can get it tomorrow.” I see her glaring at me, and then she attacks me. “Give it to me Frost!” She yells as she keeps attacking me. “Not going to happen Ice Queen.” I finally pin her down.

            We’re just staring into each other eyes, God she is beautiful, and the more I watch over her and watch her grow, I fell in love with her. “Jack.” She whispers, I love it when she says my name. And she knows I’ll do anything when she says it. I sigh and pull a small box out of my pocket. She smiles and grabs it and opens it. “Oh Jack.” She says and puts her hand on her heart. “Put it on me please!” She asks as she turns around for me to put a necklace on her. A snowflake with a blue crystal in the middle.

            “I gave North a snowflake that I made and asked him to make it for you. I hope you like it.” I say feeling my cheeks get red. She turns back to me. “I love it.” She moves close to me, “Jack.” I feel my heart beat faster. “Elsa.” She puts her hand on my knee and closes her eyes. God… she wanted to kiss me, and I wanted to kiss her. I moved close to her, our heads were touching when we heard someone calling her name. “Elsa!” We open our eyes and smile, “That’s Anna. We’re going to dinner.” She says. I can tell she’s upset but I can’t stop her.

            “Can I see you tonight?” She asks me. “You know I’ll be there Elsa.” She smiles. I get up and help her up. Before I could do anything, she kisses me. Well, more like a peck. “See you tonight?” She shyly says. I see her cheeks getting red. “Yeah, you will.” She smiles as she walks away. I stand there and watch her walk away. “Jack?” I turn to see Cupid, her white wings shine in the light, to many people, she is the most beautiful women in the world. But to me, all I see is Elsa.

            “Cupid? What are you doing here?” I ask. I can tell something is wrong, she’s not bubbly self. “Jack… You’re in love.” She says slowly. “How did you…” But I stopped myself. Of course she knows, she’s cupid. “With a human Jack!” That’s when her bubbly self-returned. She jumped into a hug. “Oh Jack this is amazing! And this girl is in love with you also! I just know it!” I laugh, “Cupid, how am I going to keep her around? She’s she’ll be seventeen tomorrow.” Cupid sighed, “That my friend, is when you prove that you love her.” “How?” I ask. She shrugs, “You’ll figure it out. Or maybe one day I’ll tell you.”

            And with that, she leaves me. I turn back to where I last left Elsa. That’s when I felt something hit me in the heart, it was so much pain. I fell to the ground and put my hand on my heart. I look up, Elsa needed me. “Wind, get me to Elsa!” I yell and fell myself in the air. A few minutes later, I landed by a car crash. “No… Elsa!” I run to the wreck, the first body I found is Elsa’s mother, right next to her is her father. “Stop, I can’t.” I hear. I walk to the voice to find Elsa, her blonde hair was starting to turn black then back to blonde again. “She’s my sister. I already lost my parents. Please.” She bags, but then her blonde hair leaves and turns black. “Enough! She’s dies too. You belong to him.” Dark Elsa says and looks up.

            Next to her is Pitch. “Pitch!” Both he and Dark Elsa look at me. Dark Elsa stands and looks at Pitch, “Want me to get rid of him too Sir?” I felt my heart start to break, this wasn’t my Elsa. “Let her go Pitch.” Pitch laughs, “Why would I do that? Look what she did to her sister.” I look down to see Anna is half way frozen. God… Anna… I run to her but Dark Elsa pushes me back with a wall of ice. “Not so fast pretty boy, you’re not going near her.” I look up at her, “Elsa… Please I know you’re in there.” I look at her necklace and see that the necklace I gave her was gone.

            “Oh are you looking for this?” Pitch asks as he holds her necklace. “I knew this was going to stand in the way, she loves you and well, that would wreck my plans to have this Elsa.” I glare at him and start to run to him he laughs as we start to fight, “You can’t save Elsa and Anna both.” Pitch yells as he pushes me back. I look at Anna; Elsa was almost done freezing her. No… I had to save them both… I look at Pitch, his stand over me with a ball of sand in his hand. “Say good bye Frost.” He says. I smile, “Good Bye.” I hold my staff and frost of him back, he drop the necklace. I quickly grabbed it and ran to Elsa.

            “Elsa!” She turns, I grab her and put my lips to her, easy destruction to put the necklace around her but I didn’t know that she would start to freeze me next. I felt her hand on my heart and I felt colder then I have in years. I let go and fall to the ground. I see her necklace close to her neck. Dark Elsa looks down and does a small smile, “You win this time Frost.” I see her dark hair fade and Elsa’s light blonde hair return. She falls next to me. “Elsa… Please… Wake up.” I say in slow gasps. I can’t breathe.

            She opens her eyes, “Jack…” then her eyes widen. “Oh god Jack!” She yells and puts my head in her lap. “Oh Jack… I’m so sorry.” I smile, “Please… go to your sister.  Thaw her heart, please Elsa.” I see a tear go down her face. “What about you? I can’t lose you.” She cries. I put a weak hand on her cheek. “I love you.” I whisper. She does a small laugh, “I love you.” She says back. I start to push her to Anna. “Save your sister.” I know she wants to argue but she won’t. She just slowly walks to Anna and starts to thaw her. I blacked out after I saw Anna breathe again and Elsa pass out next to her.

I opened my eyes to see that I was back in my room. I remembered everything. I remembered that I gave up my life so Elsa and Anna could be together again. I stood up and held on to my staff tight, I am Jack Frost, before my goal was to have fun and make the frost, now it’s to protect someone I loved for many many years.  I had forgotten everything. My past, my friends and Elsa. Till now. I am Jack Frost once again and for years to come.
