Gold opened his eyes as a cold breeze tickled his nose. He sat up and noticed the other fire users getting up. Green wasn't there. He looked around.

"Where are we?"

"Dunno..." Sapphire said before standing up.

"Where's Green?"

"Dunno." Pearl mumbled quietly.

Gold frowned and noticed a door. He opened it and peered out. Green was at a door, staring off. Gold went over and touched his shoulder. He jerked before realizing who it was. He looked horrible. He was extremely pale and was shaking. He had dark circles under his eyes and his face was red from the cold. His eyes were misty and he was sniffling. Not crying, just sniffling. He sneezed and grabbed the doorframe. Someone from inside the tent called out "Bless you," which made Gold crack a smile. Something didn't feel right about the senior. He usually didn't look this bad. Green rubbed his face. Gold lightly touched Green's back.

"You ok?" He murmured softly. "You don't usually look this bad." Green murmured something under his breath before leaning against the doorframe.

"Yeah... I'm fine... I'm just a little tired..."

Gold frowned upon hearing his voice. It was quiet and shallow. It was shaky upon the vowels and it kept fading out. Green ran a hand through his hair and rubbed his eyes. He seemed to lose focus of the conversation. Gold sighed as he touched the senior's arm and tried to pull him into the hut. Green pulled back.

"N-no-"

"Green... you need to rest..."

"No..."

Green was able to pull out of his grip. He shook after using the little strength he had. Gold frowned and looked at the tent. Pink was by the entrance, motioning him to go over. He went over and slipped inside the tent.

"What?"

"How's Green?" Pearl asked. Gold paused. Pearl was pretty much the medic of the group.

"He's being difficult." Gold quickly told them what he saw. Sun paused.

"He was awake before us... we need to find a way to get him to sleep. Any ideas?" Pink snorted.

"I always have ideas." She then proceeded to hit Velvet on the back of the neck very harshly. "Go get him."

A smile crossed her face as she went to the entrance. She slipped out and took a deep breath. She touched the hit mark with one hand and grabbed her shirt on the shoulder with the other. Her eyes flashed as she casted.

"PAIN SWAP! SHADOW STEP!"

Her hands moved in sync as she made a X. She disappeared for a moment before coming back with an unconscious Green. She grinned as she laid him down on the ground of the tent. He was shaking. Gold grabbed one of the blankets and placed it on the senior. He murmured something under his breath. Pink touched his head and frowned.

"He's gravely ill. He must've taken watch duty for a while before we woke up. He can't keep going. Not like this." Gold grimaced as Green tensed up in his sleep.

"Now what? He's the senior." Sapphire paused.

"Gold, you're the next oldest, right?"

"Yes."

"You and I are going to have to work together. I have his strength while you have somewhat his experience. We need to work together and pull through this." The others nodded.

"Working together... for Senior Green's sake..."
