"I'm tired of being the lovable idiot, stuck in the tree while his friends fight for their lives! Don't you understand? If I can't do this on my own... then what good am I?"

Jaune Arc

Esme knew Andy couldn't stand to sit on the sidelines or hear about mutant incidents and suffering for long. He felt like he was betraying mutants who used to be in the same situation as him, and that if he kept staying in the Hellfire Headquarters not doing anything more then training he was failing them. He felt like a coward who had an entire arsenal at his fingertips with complete mastery.  He didn't care if he was spotted by humans or got hurt. He wanted to act no matter what the cost.

Esme knew Andy needed to get it out of his system before he did something Reeva wouldn't approve of. So one day she found him while he was tossing a tennis ball against a wall. He was bored and frustrated.

" I need someone to come along on a small operation.  It doesn't require my sisters since everyone's weak minded at the location but I'll need help and someone powerful enough for a emergency  escape route and to help fight off anyone for the worst scenario. " He obliterated  the tennis ball and smiled for his answer.

On the drive he tried to look professional but the smile on his face was a mix of relief and excitement. Esme knew he just needed a breath of fresh hair and to just crack a few skulls." So who exactly dwell at the place?" He asked.

" A few Trask Industries falsified records and made a deal with a mutant torture group. Some people want to be able to watch  a mutant beating another helpless restraint confused mutant to death. They sold some of their dwindling supply of Hounds." Both of rhem shared mutual disgust at the idea." We can stop the sickening deal before it goes down." When they parked Andy cracked his knuckles and her eyes flashed blue calming him before he could get out the car.

" Wait there's no need to be the clumsy blond knight in a hoodie charging in first." She stated." You'll be able to get all your pent up feelings out of your system soon enough and get rid of a few greedy pieces of human trash at the same time."

It was too easy to get past the heavily armed  nitwit they had on security. With her attire they could have assumed she was one of the buyers but then she noticed the Hounds reactions.

Their intel didn't specify what kind of mutants the humans were trying to sell. One of these brainwashed husks drained the actual energy out of someone while another was a telepath. Together they more or less a telepathic leech. In less then two minutes she wasn't able to do anything. Things went south fast and she knew even without her powers what the humans were thinking.  They could profit or collect her for their own gain.

One of then reached for her shortly before the wall behind him was pulverized.  Andy was barely visible through the cloud of dust and smashed concrete.  He swung his arm shortly before a couple of them decorated the walls with their blood.

Andy tore a hole through the hounds and the contraption binding them killing them quickly.  Neither of them said a word for a while.

" How did you know? " She asked." I couldn't send out a command or message with the hounds around."

" I just had a feeling. I was also a little ticked off. I wasn't venting just giving them what they deserved."

" It was great you thought of me. Anyone could have saved you but I'm glad I actually helped out." Andy still had a smile on his face when they returned to HQ.

" I should be thanking you." She said but he wouldn't accept accept it. He just put his hood on and smiled before walking away.

Made two references to a show I like. And a not so subtle thing with the quote.
