Andy opened his eyes to see Reeva Payge dying instead of him.  Blood was pouring down her throat and was splattered across the weapon in Esme's hand. The telepath intervened and attacked seconds before Reeva could try and take his life.

He was glad to be alive and in complete agony from hearing her sonic scream. He disobeyed her once and had less then a handful of rebellious actions and complaints since their earlier interaction. This was a little too much for the leader of the Inner Circle and she tried to kill him in his own room.  Esme had followed them to the room and Andy prepared for the worst. He was ready to die with regrets and so much left undone. He thought  Esme was going along withit. 

But instead Esme surprised the two of them." Why?" Reeva asked glancing at the woman that used to be her friend. " The h-homeland, the dream....You would ruin all of this why?" 

Esme scoffed looking down at the so called friend that  crossed too many lines and changed. She wasn't the same person she trusted." Your critical, paranoid, and call my sister's sadistic actions efficient. Andy didn't want to be your loyal solider without asking questions and acting like a teenager. He is a rebel. And that's what I like about him."

She looked Reeva in the eye." Me and him are more similar then you think. I treasure his life and I took yours because of your attempt. I was your friend till you made your choice. People who even think of taking his life are going to join you in hell. That's a promise."
