AU and canon divergence where Andy was at the Underground longer and the Frosts were freed earlier but Esme's still undercover.

" Why do people call me that? Why is it wherever I go I'm the lone wolf?" Andy asked Esme. " Why can't anyone just start a conversation or talk to me first instead of listening to the rumors? Make assumptions about me and muttering things to others. Taking their word for it but not listening to me."  This conversation was not supposed to be like this. Esme's mistake was getting her knowledge of Andy from other people and their thoughts.  Not realizing how far from the truth their views were on Andy Strucker. 

She called his chaotic potential and a lone wolf straight to his face which was a bad idea in hindsight.  He was still a vulnerable kid with no one but his family he was close to. Andy did stick up for others and hung around groups offering any assistance but nobody did the same for him.  Everyone at the Underground gave him too much space, loneliness ans a reputation he hated.

A reputation Esme assumed would be the truth. She had been so small minded and sure of what she heard and because of it Andy was hurt.

The only thing that was the truth was that he was a sensitive kid. "I'm sorry. It's stupid how I took the words of people who didn't know any part of the truth.  Forget what I said. I didn't mean to hurt you."

Andy looked at her and then looked down at himself. " I always do this to myself. I always put out a stupid image wherever I go. I stop myself every time I want to ask someone out ot have a friendly conversation or take too much time. Here I get so nervous the ground starts to shake and people assume I'm using my powers to make them leave me alone."

" It's natural emotions are linked to what you can do. Your not stupid.  I was for listening to others ignorant thoughts and believing them. They are for not seeing past the image they built of you."  Esme respsonded. 

" Now I want to actually hear the truth and see the real Andy Strucker. Then we can focus on showing everyone else in time." It took a while a lot of encounters,  trust being built and nights spent together but they cleared the misconceptions and assumptions everyone had about him.
