Esme stared at the deceased despicable human entrepreneur who nearly succeeded in getting his hands on a mutant minor for his sick twisted intentions. A teenager that was legally deceased that no one would come looking for. Every thought from his mind and plan made her recoil but she focused on the thoughts of the young boy stuck inside. A boy who already had a collar digging into his neck and bruises up and down his body. 

She threw the humans body aside as her sisters made quick work of the armored escorts. She ignored the gunfire and screams shortly before she let him out. The kid was terrified literally leaping without thinking nearly knocking her aside and hurting his ankle.

First she made sure he was okay and tried to calm him down. The kid was confused,  afraid, in pain and starving.  She made sure his gaze wasn't on the bodies. He already suffered from violence it was better that he didn't see anymore.

" Lool we're mutants like you. My sisters and I are telepathic.  We're here to help you. I know your name Andy." He looked at her trying and failing to stand on his own feet. She helped him up and introduced her and her sisters.

He repeated the names." Esme, Sophie,  and Phoebe. ESP." He acted calm in the car ride but he kept staring at the glass. Esme sat next to him and he flinched when she reached for the collar. Jumping out of his seat and banging his head.

" I"m just trying  to remove the contraption. We're not going to hurt you." The slightest touch made him flinch.  He saw her eyes glow blue and freaked out. The car nearly went off the road and almost crashed into something.  Sophie and Pheobe looked at him but Esme calmed him down.

" Just let me help you Andy. I'm doing a quick look into your mind and trying to help. Let me in." After that he was quiet trying not to reflect on his previous pain.

She was the one always waiting,  and helping him. On his firsr day he ate some much he got sick she cleaned up the mess and him. He tried to draw once and had a panic attack. He rarely spoke but he kept talking to her.  Apologizing a lot.

Then one day she asked how would he describe how." A Hero. I could have set this place crumbling down. You saved me. You help me rebuild my trust in you.  The patient protector."

Andy reached for her hand and she took." And you showed how can someone so young survive and bring out the best in a killer like me."
