Andy thought it would be better to just drop off the gift in her room. He didn't want Esme to spot him leaving what he got for her. Something unique that he kept in pristine condition for her.  He wanted originally to be courageous and do some sort of grand gesture.  But he thought it through and left.

The next time he saw Esme was her actually wearing it when she left a large  parcel in his room. She didn't say a word. Inside Andy found hair, dye, dark clothes that were his style and size. It was what he wanted to do for so long to alter his appearance.  She gave hin the perfect gift in return.  For the next couple misisons they both wore the outfits and smiled at each other.
