After Lauren makes a big mistake badly hurting Andy Esme decides it's time and and Lauren finally take. And finally acknowledge who was actually the one to hurt Andy emotionally.

"You think you've been protecting him?" Esme asked Lauren bitterly making sure she didn't move from that spot Esme forced her in. She was lucky allowed her to breath and speak. Especially after Lauren's accident at that facility that could have killed Andy.  But it definitely scared him for life.

" Your idiotic attempt to get him to stand down cut up a container full of a boiling liquid metal. "

"A kind of metal that's pretty much unbreakable and that was sent over one side of Andy's face. My sisters are easing his pain as we bring in mutant after mutant to try and reduce scarring and the chance of blindness. Sage's been trying to locate the correct one of a kind tools to precede with the eventual surgery. And Lorna was earlier forced to rip out sections of skin and metal to help Andy."

To make sure Lauren knew exactly what Andy was going through right now Esme created a little link with her brother.  Oddly this connection to make sure Lauren felt Andy's agony was the closest Lauren and Andy had been in the year since he joined the Hellfire Club.

Their meetings since them became fights every time. Each time Lauren attempted to get him to return.  To try and change him and make him go back. Their last one ended with Andy in utter agony and Lorna knocked out Lauren.  And Esme dragging her back here to feel and witness the repercussions.

Tears came to Lauren's eyes but she tried to defend herself. It was hard feeling the blinding pain Andy felt along with power after power trying to help him.

" Your the ones who manipulated him. Because of you he is trying to be like those old murderers and killing both people and mutants. "

If things weren't so dire Esme would have laughed." Hounds are irreversible and it's horrible for them.  Andy likes to make sure they go quickly and trust me they're given the respect they deserve. He kills people like Jace and Campbell and he does what's necessary and what he had become it's amazing. It's wonderful but because of you he might be scarred for life.  He might not even function properly. He could have lost an eye. And we are just guessing what's the amount of damage to nerve endings."

" But guess Lauren what Andy gave me permission to do?" Esme waited to see if she would try to answer the rhetorical question. " See his memories and guess what I saw you at that little dance with that human boy. You didn't rush in all you thought about was some boyfriend you'd cast aside soon enough. Then at the vending machine you made him think back to that hellish torment by those bullies.  You insulted him outright times and your compassion occurred infrequently and not enough. I wonder how your parents would respond to all of this. Your little secrets and what's happened to the boy I love."

" It's strange seeing as Lorna as a mentor was more protective of him then you were. It's strange how in this time here we didn't let things slip through the cracks.  When someone treated him awfully on a assignment they talked and didn't forget it. And I don't use him Lauren I care about him. We've talked,  worked and enjoyed each other while you and Andy have been enemies.  You've been the one to hurt him and let him suffer. Now youe going to stand here for the next couple of hours unmovable till Andy's condition improves.  And when he's better he decides what I can do to you Lauren." Esme walked away but gave Lauren a brief look of hatred.
