ITU Chapter 5: Four's Secret
Taco ran beside Four, gathering supplies for the long trip ahead. "I never wanted to do this." Four sighed, clutching his pack. "But I promised I wouldn't let this happen again."
He looked back. "You three finish up gathering the supplies. Taco, with me." She nodded, as everyone in the parlor split into two groups.
Four walked hastily down the hallway, as Taco struggled to keep up with him. "Where are we going, Four?" She asked, as he winced slightly.
"You'll see..." He sighed, as he started to come to a halt. Taco paused, as he lifted his hand. A gentle white light started to glow, and with it, a portion of the wall.
Light erupted from several cracks, as Taco realized the wall started to raise. She stared in awe, finally realizing what it was.
A secret passageway.
Four shivered, glaring at the newly opened passage with an unreadable emotion. "There's one thing I never told you." He said, as he walked into it.
Taco followed, her curiosity growing. "Is it about this random door?" She asked. Four sighed, nodding. "This mansion belonged to my fiancé and me."
She stared at him in surprise, as they walked into a dusty room. There was a desk, a mattress lying on the floor, and a small book on the floor.
Four picked up the book, turning his head towards a wall. "Look." He said, pointing to something. Taco walked over, staring at two odd holes in the walls.
She peered through them, gasping at what she saw. It was the parlor! She turned away from the wall, staring at Four in disbelief. He shamefully looked away.
"You...spied on Leafy?!" Taco asked, clenching her fists. He rose his hands, palms facing towards her. "Not intentionally!" He confessed.
"I lived here, hidden for the longest time. And then she moved in..." He lowered his hands, smiling slightly at the memories. Four chuckled.
"She always talked to Steve like he was real, of course, she never noticed the eye-holes cut out in the painting." He held his shoulder, gently clutching the fabric of his jacket.
"So...in a way...I felt like she was talking to me...her energy and enthusiasm made me feel like we were best friends!" His smiled turned into a wince.
"Even though I had never talked to her before that fateful day..." Four stared back at Taco, surprised to find sympathy in her eyes. "She...has a way of doing that,"
Taco smiled, "doesn't she?" Four smiled back at her, nodding. "We have the book now, we should gather everyone and start looking for Leafy."
Four walked past her, and she followed him, confused. "Why do you need that book?" She asked, as they left the secret passage. "It's gonna help us through the forest."
Leafy glared at X, as she sat across the long table from him. The other elements were sitting around her, basically star struck. X sipped some sort of liquid from his ice cup.
He seemed very calm about the kidnapping situation, and dodged Leafy's every attempt to point out that it was one. Gently, he sat his cup down, and smiled at Leafy.
"You haven't even touched your food!" He said with a friendly tone. "Is something wrong?" Leafy stood up, quietly slamming her hands on the table.
"Why am I here?!" X closed his eyes, covering his mouth to prevent a giggle from escaping. "Silly!~ I already told you! Did you forget?"
He looked at Leafy. "This is your home!" She grit her teeth. "This is not my home!" She seethed, as she started to walk away. X sighed. "Oh dear..."
She turned to look at him, her angry face falling when she saw the dark look in his eyes. "It is...so get used to it." He coldly said, starting to stand up.
"What is it that you're looking for... friends?" He chuckled, gesturing to the elements at the table. "We are your friends!" He grinned, walking away from the table.
"Or maybe...someone else?" He snapped his fingers, turning to face Leafy. He had a slight smirk on his face. "If I can't convince you to stay..."
Leafy gasped, as three familiar figures walked into the room. "Maybe they can." Leafy started to cry, rushing over to the trio. X smiled, the dark look disappearing.
Leafy's snowflakes hugged her, nearly crying themselves. X hmmed in satisfaction, placing his arms behind his back. "H-How...?" Leafy choked, burying her face into Frost-Fight's chest.
He smiled, patting her head. "Well...the General and I decided to try and find you..." He suddenly shivered, tensing slightly. "But... let's not mention that..."
Leafy turned around, hiding her snowflakes behind her back. She glared at X. "What did you do to them?" She spoke through gritted teeth. X sighed, rolling his eyes.
"Nothing! I just found them and brought them home!" She walked towards him. "You can't keep us here forever!" She said, and he glared back.
"Will you at least listen to what I have to say?" He asked, his patience running thin. Leafy paused for a moment. Cold-Shoulder placed a hand on her shoulder, soothing her.
She sighed in frustration. "Fine. Just tell me what you need to!" X softened his glare, smiling at her. "Great! Follow me!" He said, unusually cheerfully.
Leafy stared in shock as he started to skip towards the hallway. After she got over his sudden mood swing, she followed him.

(A/n): Finally!!! It took forever to get this out, between all the homework and junk-
Sorry for the wait! I wasn't exactly sure how I was going to write this reveal, but yeah, Four kinda spied on Leafy.
That's what I was implying in the first book, anyways.
But the snowflakes are back baby!!!!
Took me long enough XD
But I always had it planned that X took them, because of some major spoilers that I can't tell yet, but hint: it literally has to do with his mood swings and why he doesn't want Leafy to leave-
But I hope you enjoyed this chapter, sorry if it's a little lackluster, I tried doing the best I could.
