Chapter 4: Let It Go
Leafy stared down the mountain, sighing. She never knew it would come to this. That she would ever be stuck in this situation. Yet here she was, stomping through the snow, unbothered by the coldness of the wind.
It howled, hurling flakes in her face. She deeply inhaled, and sighed again. She wanted to forget what just happened, forget about her powers, her new, sudden abilities. Her...friends...
She shook her head, knowing it would be better for them if they forgot about her. Despite everything, Leafy still tried to find some positivity in the situation. At first, she couldn't. That's when the music started.
"The snow glows white on the mountain tonight, not a footprint to be seen."
The words spilled out naturally.
"A kingdom of isolation, and it looks like...I'm the Queen."
She choked back a sob.
"The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside."
She remembered Four, suddenly feeling ashamed.
"Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I've tried."
Leafy pointed her finger, waving it like a teacher, and mimicked Four.
"Don't let them in, don't let them see. Be the good girl you always have to be."
She held her hands as they frosted over.
"Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know..."
She looked back. Leafy could see the town from here.
"Well now they know!"
Leafy released all the pressure built up in her chest, throwing one of her hands in the air.
"Let it go, let it go."
She fired ice and snow into the sky, surprising herself.
"Can't hold it back anymore."
"Let it go, let it go!"
She turned away from the town, scowling.
"Turn away and slam the door!"
"I don't care, what they're going to say!"
"Let the storm rage on..."
She smirked, realizing the cold couldn't affect her anymore.
"The cold never bothered me anyway."
She chuckled, continuing up the mountain, suddenly getting an idea. A picture perfect setting was forming in her mind, and she had the powers to bring it to life. She was starting to push away her fears.
"It's funny how some distance, makes everything seem small, and the fears that once controlled me...can't get to me at all!"
She looked down at her hands, wondering if what she was about to try was possible.
"It's time to see what I can do, to test the limits and break through! No right, no wrong, no rules for me!"
She used her powers to create the first step of a staircase, and smiled.
"I'm free!"
"Let it go! Let it go! I am one with the wind and sky!"
She ran up it, running her hands along the side and creating more steps as she ran.
"Let it go! Let it go! You'll never see me cry!"
Once she reached a good distance, she slid across the ground, stopping herself in the middle of of the mountain. She stomped the ground once.
"Here I stand! And here I'll stay! Let the storm rage on..."
She rose her hands, and walls rose up from out of the ground. Before her very eyes, a castle of ice was forming around her. Leafy was creating it! She was making it!
"My power flurries through the air into the ground!"
"My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around!"
"And one thought crystallizes, like an icy blast:"
She walks toward the window, spying the town.
"I'm never going back, the past is in the past!"
Leafy smiled, walking toward the new balcony. Her body starts to change color again. From the bottom, an icy blue starts the coat her, stopping hallway up her body.
"Let it go! Let it go! And I'll ride like the break of dawn!"
"Let it go! Let it go! That perfect girl is gone!"
She screamed out into the mountains, finally feeling free.
"Here I stand, in the light of day! Let the storm rage on!"
Her voice lowered, and she softly smiled.
"The cold never bothered me anyway."
Leafy slammed the newly made door shut, walking over to a ice shaped throne. She sat down, taking a deep breath. "Wow...I'm never doing that again..." She comments.
"Did I do that in one go? My lungs kinda hurt..." She places a hand on her chest, patting it slightly. "Well...at least I'm away from everyone..." She stated out into her empty castle.
"...What now...?"
Meanwhile, Taco and Coiny were traversing the mountainside. "I can't believe she would just disappear like that!" Taco said in a worried tone. "Oh my sour cream! And those powers! Did you know she could do that?!"
Coiny shook his head. "No..." He sighed. "It seems like Firey made them worse by being a jerk to her..." He realized something. "You don't know about Dream Island, do you?" Before Taco could answer, he started to explain.
"You see, in BFDI, Firey won, but didn't let Leafy in, so-" he was interrupted. "I know, I knew that since my first meeting with her... at the park." Coiny looked at her, confused. "Leafy came to the park?"
Taco nodded. "She was just about to open the gate, then she just...froze..." She sighed. "It was also the first time I noticed she had an orange spot on her body..." Coiny tensed, looking at her.
"What kind of "freeze"?" He asked. Taco thought for a minute. "It looked like she was about to cry... and she was screaming a lot too..." Coiny 'hmmed' in thought. It seemed to be connected, but he couldn't be sure.
"I'm not going to any more of Firey's parties after this." Taco scoffed, crossing her arms. "What a jerk! He didn't even give her a chance to redeem herself!" Coiny sighed. "That's just Firey for you..."
Taco huffed. "At least she has us..." She smiled softly, looking at Coiny. He smiled back, nodding. Then, they both realized someone was missing... "Wait, have you seen Four?" They asked each other at the same time.
The library was one of Firey's least favorite places. Everything would always catch on fire when he was around. Sighing, he looked through the books, trying to find the book Four was talking about.
"This is such a waste of time..." He tsked, rolling his eyes. Groaning, he peered through the bookshelf, not seeing a purple book. That was...until he saw something glimmer.
Curiously, he pulled all the other books out, reaching for the shiny thing. It was a latch! Gently pulling the handle, a secret compartment opened, revealing the book.
It was dusty, and old, but Firey looked through it anyways. Looking through the pages, boredly, he noticed it was written like some kinda journal.
His eyes widened as he landed on a frightening page...
"Parasites."

And I'm on a roll! Two chapters out this fast? Never thought inspiration would hit me this fast, but here we are!
Looks like Firey found the book Four was talking about! Not too sure he's gonna like what he finds inside though...
Hopefully Taco and Coiny don't get lost looking for Leafy! Won't they be surprised when they see her new home?
Again, quick reminder that I do not own BFB or Frozen!
I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Thank you for reading!~
And sorry this chapter was kinda short-
