~~~-.-Chapter Two-.-~~~
Terran woke up with a start, ready to attack. Frost had screamed. Frost had to be in danger. Terran jumped out of bed, threw on pants, and rushed to his sister's room. A massive guy was holding her against the wall as she scratched at him and attempted to bite him. "Gotcha." Another guy rushed up behind Terran and wrapped him in a hug.
"Terran! TERRAN!" Frost struggled harder and got a hold on the cold ones skin, ripping into it. He released her in pain and another cold one grabbed her in the same restraint as Terran. She flailed violently, trying desperately to reach her brother. "We aren't here to hurt you, calm down!" The massive cold one from before stepped in front of Frost, her beautiful icey eyes in a frenzy, darkness growing around the inner iris. "The volturi are after you. Our brother told us. Aro thinks you are a danger to all of us. He's going to kill you and your brother while Alec and Jane watch." The massive cold one struck a nerve when he mentioned Alec.
"Alec survived the bite? He's with Aro now?" Pain and betrayal filled the room. The massive cold one nodded and Terran stared at his sister with confused pain. She never told him about Alec and Jane, except their mother took care of him while they went out and explored. She thought very rarely about him, and the night they died.
"Alec is part of the Voluri Coven. He is a guard, he'll have to choose between his coven and you. Alice said he chooses the Volturi." Emmett sat down, keeping a close eye on Terran. They had calmed down long enough for them to let them go and go to more crowded area in Paris. The night life there was amazing, cold ones and humans mixing, partying, drinking. Terran was stressed, less likely to retaliate against Emmett. He kept his eyes on his sister.
"They'll either kill us both, or take Terran and kill me? They can't kill me and leave Terran, he's irrational and irresponsible by himself. He can't tell the difference from enemy and friend. His ability is too uncontrollable, he'll end up wiping them all out." Frost took a deep breath, a familiar scent filling her throat. She started and stood up swiftly. Terran followed her gaze as it fell on a boy, his red eyes gazing softly at Frost's blue ones. "Fuck." Terran grabbed Frost before she could go toward him. "It's fake, she's deceiving you." Terran jerked his sister into his arms.
"They found us already." Terran looked at Jasper and Rosalie, hoping they knew what to do. "They can't act here, too many people, it'll expose us all." Jasper sat down, urging Frost to do the same. Frost was shaking and tears fell in streams. The Volturi had powerful players in their side. They were already playing mind tricks. Frost took a deep breath and pictured Alec's smiling face, pink and blue eyed. She sat down and pulled her legs to her chest. "Right, safety, they'll have to act tomorrow night, and we'll be gone by then." Frost held her brothers hand tightly, fear he'd be taken from her causing her to hold onto some part of the past.
Alec tried convincing Heidi she had it wrong, she couldn't have seen Frost, Frost would've been dead by now. Laila was a child when they died, both her and Terran would've grown old and dead, not even their bones left. Heidi didn't listen, insisting she speak to Aro. "Please, she died. She probably died after we forced her to leave out village. Please, please just tell Aro you found nothing." Heidi shook her head and shoved past Alec, only to have the small Jane step into her way. "Do not disrespect my brother like that." Jane held her head high, her power outweighing Heidi's. Heidi nodded and stepped around Jane, heading in to talk to the coven leader.
"They'll kill her Jane, they'll kill Terran. They could make us kill them." Alec groaned in discomfort and Jane approached him swiftly, offering her comfort to her twin. "I already came to terms with her death. And now that she's magically alive, I'm going to lose her again." Alec punched the wall, leaving a massive chunk missing.
Aro screamed Alec's name, startling everyone in the hall. Jane held Alec's hand, fear for her brother's safety growing. She followed him to the door and nodded, before following him into the throne room. "Master, you called?" Alec motioned for Jane to stay by the door. "You wish to aid the demons?" Aro looked livid for the first time Alec had known him. "I- I would do nothing to fail the coven,Master" he glanced at Markus, who looked conflicted. "The boy is only protecting the woman he loved as a human. He assumed he had lost her long ago Aro." Markus's ancient voice waivered and dipped at the end. He spoke the truth, and Aro nodded. "Right, I forget you loved her once, the female demon, so close to death, yet so out of reach." Aro chuckled and gracefully returned to Caius and Markus.
"We shall pay the Cullens, and the demons, a visit." Caius nodded and Markus sighed in contempt. "Do we really wish to start another fight with the Cullens? Carlisle is our dear friend." Markus squeezed out the sentence as Alec and Jane were dismissed. Jane nodded and held the door for her brother who left in a blur.
"Terran I don't understand why you are so uncomfortable. You wanted to stay in Forks." Frost pulled her silver hair into a ponytail, allowing it to fall in waterfall curls behind her neck. Jasper stopped inhaling for a moment. "Sorry Jasper, I don't want to make you uncomfortable, but it's humid here." Frost was still cautious of Jasper and his siblings, but was able to relax while Esme and Carlisle were in the room. Terran was always stressed and tended to spend more time with the wolf packs. "I wanted to go to school, not be trained to hurt and maim people that protected us when I was an infant. It's just, it's not how I pictured my life when we were growing up." Terran raked his hand through his chestnut hair.
"Well, the Volturi will arrive in six days. This is the second time we've started a war with them. And our witnesses are still wary of you two. We have two of our powerful fighters out because of Renesme's safety being in jeopardy. Not to mention the pack leaders." Emmett was staring at a wall, his golden eyes showing his boredom.
"Alice what of Alec's decision?" Alice snapped out of her daze and nodded. "He isn't standing with Aro's decision anymore, but Jane is. Chelsea can't change Alec's mind and Markus is becoming greatly annoyed with Aro and Alec's bickering and deal making." Frost nodded and they all went back to their quiet nature.
