Ashley's POV

I laughed as Rowland and I jogged through the premises of the rehabilitation center. It's been twenty months since I came here and fifteen months since I last saw anyone.

I hated the visits, I hated the look in their eyes when they sat opposite me staring  at my green overall like I was in prison.

Coming here was one of the best decisions I made in my life. I felt at ease, I didn't have suicidal thoughts anymore and Rowland also opened up to me and I to him.

I had started online university courses since I wouldn't be able to attend the physical one and I wasn't lacking in any way, Soon id graduate with a first class.  It was better to be honest,  rather than seeing fake people everyday.

"Come over here," He called, patting the grass and I joined sitting close to him with little to no space between us.

"What is it?" I asked beaming, Rowland was a very handsome guy. And gifted too.

"...my fiance is coming over tomorrow. "

I felt my smile fading away. "huh." I stated calmly, moving away from him.

"Ashley i-"

"it's miss winters," I said with a smile not reaching my eyes and I left.

Was I jealous? Of course not.

I just hated that I was being led on... Me sef I'm a mumu for following.

I sighed staring at my fathers text message that he sent six months ago. I didn't tell Rowland about it, because I wanted to stay for a bit and enjoy some time with him, as he was a true friend I had made in a while.

Dera's POV

"waah!!" The baby cried as I kept cradling her trying to nurse her to sleep. Her cries echoed through the house making it hard for anyone to sleep.

Damilare and I had gotten married and move out of his parents house six months ago. It was just us, our baby, the maids and guards living together.

"Give me my princess, " Damilare said with a smile and he took her from my hands cradling her to sleep.

"Don't worry my baby, your superman is here for you." she giggled at her father's cooing while I settled on the couch.

I stared at my little family, we were teen parents with our little bundle of joy, even though we had ups and downs we still loved each other and stayed together. With my in law's by my side, it was almost as if I was taking care of my baby sister and not my child.

Damilare's sister, Tolani still stayed away from me. She didn't attend my wedding nor my baby's naming ceremony. My parents also shared the same hatred for me with her.

I could hear the hate dripping from her voice whenever she called Damilare and he would tell her he was with me.

Akinola Omowunmi Sora. That was the name of my little bundle of joy.

"she's asleep now, lets quietly bring her to her cot." damilsre whispered as we stealthily walked into the room dropping her on her cot only to see big brown eyes staring at us.

She giggled and we both gasped, then she fell asleep.

"What a mischievous baby, like her father." Damilare puffed his chest feeling proud as we laughed quietly walking out of her nursery hand in hand.

Ashley POV

I dragged my suitcase as I passed by Rowland's office hearing fits of giggles and laughter. I pushed the door open to see a young lady sitting on his desk while he was on his chair, his hands rested on her laps.

"A- Miss Winters, what b-brings you here?"

He stammered, making me roll my eyes. Was he scared of me? So he knew he was wrong then.

"Good day, miss." I greeted the lady and she waved at me. "Oh, you're miss winters! I've heard at lot about you, Rowland told me how he saved you from madness and depression."

I glared at Rowland, my hands balled into fists and I scoffed. "Wow, so I was a case study,  the center of gossip for you and your barbie wanna be fiancee to discuss? What happened to the confidentiality?" I yelled making the both of them flinch and Rowland stared at me with wide eyes.

"As-"

"It's Miss Winters! And I don't want to hear any shit from your gutter hole. You know,  I just wanted to drop by discharge letter and be on my way,  but.. I'll show you madness. " I slammed the paper on his table quickly taking a picture of his barbie wanna fiancee and him.

"No, no! Please." He begged, falling to his feet. He knew, he knew if I told my father he would be brought to court and lose his license and his whole career will be washed down the drain.

And news flash?

I don't fucking care.

"When I came in here for the first time,  you read my file. And what was the word written in big letters? 'lacks empathy, cold.' "

"Goodbye love goats."
I walked out with my suitcase, typing away everything to my father and smiling inwardly because I know they were both done for..

I stepped out of the building, taking in a breath of unfiltered air and I felt truly alive.

"Goodbye sister." I turned to my side to see Hailey with wide smiles on her face.

"Hailey!" I gasped.

"I am so proud of you, do take care of my baby for me..i love you." with that she disappeared into thin air and a tear dropped from my eye.

"Luna." my heart dropped as I heard the voice making my heart ache.

"J-jason!"

I ran to him, hugging him tightly as the smell of his rich cologne filled my nostrils. I cried into his shoulder,  sobbing uncontrollably

"I'm sorry, I'm truly sorry, I didn't want you to see this side of me that is why I refused to tell you about it, I'm sorry."  he held my cheeks in his hands placing a kiss on my lips.

"I love every part of you, don't forget that  ."

"Look at you, trying to steal my best friend from me again." Tolani shook her head playfully as she pushed jace away from me pulling me into a warm embrace.

"I missed you."

"I missed you more."

We all laughed as we entered the car placing my suitcase inside.

This was where I belonged, with the people that truly loved me.

Jace Overland and Ashley Winters married each other.

Akinola Tolani married someone too.

Akinola Damilare and Akeredolu Yewande married each other too after the birth of their baby.

Fash Lois escaped from prison but two years later she was found dead.
