A New Sighting
* Leo Valdez* { yes! there is a leo POV for all who miss him}
Man, I couldn't believe how long it took to fix Festus. I'm so lucky I had Calypso along to help. To be honest, she missed Ogygia, at least that's what she told me. She just needed time to get used to the 21st century I told her. A week it took me, and each day I ended up missing my friends even more. I still debated going back and letting them know I was alive.
" You are doing it again Leo." Calypso said," I know you miss your friends, but just listen to what I told you... you will know the right time when you can go back to your friends."
I pecked her on the cheek. I had decided to bring her to New York to show her all the sights. The different world she used to live in. Basically, we had become tourists. I had showed her the Statue of Liberty and now were just walking in Central Park. I never thought I'd meet a girl like Calypso. She was the one, and the only one I ever wanted to be with. I was still amazed we had fallen in love with each other.
" Leo where shall we go to next?" Calypso asked.
" Umm, I think I need to take you to a candy shop." I replied.
* Khione* { Yes, there is goddess POV for this story. Read on and you'll see why.}
I felt lonely and angry. My father is in questioning with the 12 Olympians for taking Gaea's side. My brothers have not yet returned since little Piper vanquished them. I felt honor being on Gaea's side, but when the 7 heroes of Olympus defeated her, she became a part of my soul. Knowing a piece of her was in me, I could be ready to take my revenge... but for now I had a new prophecy on my hands. I just needed a little piece to finally be ready. A complete opposite of me a new pawn at my disposal. I want to head to New York. { Sorry this POV was so short. The story is mainly the 7's POV's so Khione is not going to be heard of all that much.}
* Percy Jackson*
The last 2 days of camp turned out to be a bust. Me and Annabeth did get to go swimming, but it was short-lived when Grover arrived. He had been in a Canada forest helping some dryads. Also we were no closer to solving the prophecy. The question was, how were we going to find the missing pieces, and Leo? The only thing we knew was that he wasn't dead. Since some of us didn't really have a home to go to, except me because I lived with my mom, we were all going to go to the same school. Well not Hazel And Frank. I think Camp Jupiter was year round for them. We had hopes we would find out the prophecy and complete the quest in 2 weeks. Chiron had rented an apartment for the rest of them so they wouldn't have to stay at my apartment. So we all left in the camp van, heading to New York. Annabeth had told me that my school was one I had spent 2 years at,but since Hera took my memory it was foggy and I couldn't remember the name.
I was on my way home, tomorrow being my birthday. All of us didn't want to stay at camp year round, so Jason, Piper and Annabeth were sharing an apartment. 3 room, one bedroom, definitely bigger than mine. I was so happy to be finally heading home after nearly a year of being gone. I wonder if my mom ever got the call I sent her on the quest with Hazel and Frank. Annabeth was walking with me up to my apartment to help ease the anger my mom is going to have with me. We stood outside the door, both of us staring at the door. Annabeth reached out hesitantly and knocked on the door three times. The door opened silently and my mom appeared at the door. When her eyes searched me up and down, her eyes widened as if in disbelief and she smiled.
" Oh my goodness! Percy! My son, you're finally home!" my mom screamed with delight.
Then she ran forward and hugged me, squeezing me almost as tight as Tyson. She grabbed Annabeth's hand and still holding me, dragged us into the apartment. Annabeth went to the couch. My mom must've never wanted to let go, because she kept squeezing. I knew what she thinking. If she let go, she might never see me again. Her joy lessened a little when Annabeth spoke up.
" Excuse me Mrs. Jackson, but we're really tired and a little hungry. I know you're excited to see Percy, but you're holding him as tight as Tyson." she said.
" I'm sorry Percy. You haven't been home since October. Annabeth and me kept on hoping you weren't dead." She said, tears streaming down her cheek.
I reached forward and brushed some off.
" Mom I missed you so much. Hey, at least I didn't come home dead." I said, with an immediate regret.
Annabeth looked at me, mad. I shrugged my shoulders in shame. I retold my mom that I'm here and if I ever do go, I'll Iris-message her every day. So my mom took us to the table and we had dinner. Fries and cheeseburgers. During dinner we talked to her about the quest, also our new friends. She asked me,
" When am I going to meet your friends, Percy? The ones you say have saved your life, a lot? Kept my baby safe from that Gaea?"
"Mom why do you always have to embarrass me? And you can meet them tomorrow, for my birthday. It is all right to have 'em over?" I replied.
After dinner, she sent me to bed. Annabeth ended up going to the apartment where Jason, Piper, Hazel and Frank are.
"Honey, the sooner you go to bed, the sooner we celebrate your birthday in the morning." my mom said after a final, very tight, hug.
I couldn't sleep. My head just kept reeling from the prophecy. It certainly wasn't another " Great " prophecy. More like the ones I went on before. My eyes just stared up at the ceiling, and I began to imagine the waves crashing on a beach to help me get to sleep. My eyes finally started to close when it happened again.
" My little hero, ready to come with me?"
