Kisses
Written 2/16/16
"So you've never kissed anyone before?" Vic asked with raised eyebrows and a hint of amusement in his eyes.
Kellin shrugged and rolled his eyes.
"What if I haven't?"
The brown haired boy chuckled, then exclaimed, "you've got virgin lips!"
"That doesn't even make sense," his friend replied, clearly annoyed but trying to hide it by continuing writing his assignments down in his notebook.
The older boy looked at him for a second, lost in thought, and then wiggled his eyebrows. "Well, now I know how to make you nervous."
Kellin looked up at him, stopping his writing and almost gasping at how close Vic had suddenly gotten to his face. He was kneeling on the library chair across him, keeping balance on his elbows placed on the desk, a mischievous smile plastered on his lips.
"You don't make me nervous." Kellin managed what he wanted to be a scoff but was barely a whisper. Vic's smirk grew even bigger.
"Then why are your cheeks so red?" He lightly traced his fingers across Kellin's soft skin.
He shuddered.
"It's just, it's the cold in here."
"Hmm," Vic mumbled, looking from Kellin's eyes down to his lips, then up again. "Not even you could believe such lie, dear."
This time Kellin gulped, and looked away from his friend's eyes.
"You're gonna get us kicked out," he tried to distract himself by rearranging the books on the table, but Vic wouldn't let up.
"Do you want me to kiss you?" Vic whispered and Kellin avoided his gaze at all costs.
"Why would you do that?" He replied anyway, his stomach doing a flip inside him.
Vic smiled. "Because I want to."
At this Kellin looked at him again, one million thoughts running through his head. Vic's closeness was making it harder to find his breath and he was at a loss for words.
"Don't you want to?" Vic moved closer, closer, closer.
Kellin did want to. That's the thing. He's wanted to for a very long time, but he was still unsure about so many things in his life and Vic was the one thing he did not want to mess up. And in Kellin's head, kissing him would only mess everything up. And that's why, just as their lips merely brushed against each other, his brain snapped back into reality and he moved away from his friend, leaving Vic dropping his head in frustration.
"No, not like this." Kellin managed to say after a shake of his head, turning around on the chair and trying to calm himself down.
Vic got off his seat and walked around the table, kneeling in front of his friend. He gave him a smile and held out his hand, Kellin looked at him bashful and reached out slowly to take it. Then Vic lifted it to his lips, giving it a small kiss while looking into Kellin's eyes.
"Eventually, then."
Kellin blushed even more furiously and Vic smiled even bigger, because even though he was dying to give Kellin the best kiss of his life right that second, he wasn't ready yet and he understood. However, he never said he didn't want to kiss him back. Kellin wanted to kiss him too, just not yet. Not yet, but probably soon.
And that alone made him extremely happy.

This was written back in the day thanks to my dream of giving my first kiss to someone who was teasing me for not having kissed anyone in college (spoiler alert: never happened lmao)
See you in the next one!
