Lucy awoke to small shaking. Her body moved gently back and forth, side to side but she didn't want to get up. She staid silent, keeping her eyes shut.
" Dammit. "she heard, realizing Natsu had staid which made her a bit happy. She felt her body move a bit, feeling pressure on her back. Her body was engulfed in warmth as she felt Natsu's arm wrap around her small, busty body.
" Why do you make me feel this way? "he questioned mostly himself as he held her tightly, her hands clenching to his shirt.
" Luce. "Natsu shook her body again, but this time he poked her side making her squeal and slam her head against his jaw.
" Ow-ow... That hurt. "Lucy sat on her bed, rubbing her head.
" How do you think I feel? "Natsu asked, holding his jaw.
" It's your fault in the first place! Why did you do that anyway? "
" Because you were pretending to sleep. "he grinned making her blush a bit.
" So? I was tired. "she looked down, keeping her gaze away from his. He let out a small laugh, brushing some hair away from her face and behind her ear." How do I make you feel? "
" huh? "
" You were wondering why I had made you feel a certain way, that's what you said at least. "she looked at him.
" I was feeling lonely since you were pretending to be asleep and I was the only one up. "he frowned, sitting up on the edge of the bed.
" Do you feel lonely now? "
He shook his head, looking back at her and smiling." You're up now, aren't you? "
" That doesn't answer my question. "she poked his arm. He grinned, then frowned.
" Maybe I'd be able to if my jaw didn't hurt so much! "he pouted but chuckled a bit afterwards.
" I'm sorry, I was aiming for your ego. "she smirked.
" O-Ouch. "he gave her a side glance, smiling sweetly." Is your head ok? "he reached to her, slipped his fingers through her soft hair and onto the stop she had hit his jaw with.
" It just stings a bit, I'll be alright. "she assured him. He put his arm around her.
" Better be, I don't wanna feel any bumps. "He grinned making her smile as well." If there's a bump, I'll punish you. "he ran his fingers up her arm giving her goosebumps all over. His hand tangled through her hair to feel for a bump.
" Ow. "she flinched." It hurts if you touch it. "
Natsu grinned and began tickling her making her kick at the air as she laughed, her hands on his wrist trying to push them away.
" Natsu!! "she laughed, her arms wrapped around her stomach as she flipped to side. Their moment was interrupted by Lucy's phone vibrated and the screen lit up. She crawled from Natsu and stood up from the bed, taking her phone into her hand. It rested in her palm as her finger touched the screen to see she had a message sent to her. In seconds after opening the message, she dropped to her knees, legs weak and unable to hold her anymore.
" Luce! "Natsu scrambled on the bed in a panic to get to her side." Lucy what's wrong!? "
He didn't see any signs that she was having attack, but she looked as if she had seen something horrifying. He grabbed her school bag and dug into it, grabbing her pencil case to get her inhaler. He didn't want to take any chances.
The cheery and carefree atmosphere was gone and turned into a heavy space of anxiety and stressfulness for both individuals.
Lucy held her phone tightly to her chest, preventing him from seeing the screen. Natsu pressed his hand onto her back, not knowing what exactly to do to comfort her. His other hand reached for hers.
" Don't look at it! "she suddenly shrieked making his hand freeze, his fingers only grazing the back of her hand.
" Alright, I won't look. "He slid the phone from her hands and slowly placed it back on the nightstand as the screen timed out and whatever she saw that made her scared was black." Luce can you at least tell me-"
" No! I can't... "she shook her head. Natsu grabbed her inhaler and pressed it against her shaky hands. She slowly grasped it, holding onto it tightly." Stay by me. Just for today, could you stay by me? "
" Of course. "
