For me, The Girl Before is another one of those kinds of books that I've mentioned before that could be easy to put down and leave down but doing that would be a mistake. The book is a pleasant read right the way through without being anything special, until, that is, you get towards the end.

The ending is unexpected and brings the whole story together excellently turning an average read into a really good/boarding on great read. This is why I do my upmost to always complete whatever I am reading for if something interests you enough to pick up, you should read right the way through before judging. I haven't always completed all I've picked up though I do plan on putting that right.

A perfect house, parallel lives, a sinister secret. A compulsively readable tale of voyeurism and psychological manipulation.

I'm not sure I'd use the word voyeurism such is how one description calls it as that might imply a sexual nature that isn't what it's about at all. There had been talk of it becoming a movie though what I hear is that it is due to become a four-part mini-series for the BBC in the U.K and H.B.O in the U.S ... I'd imagine if this is so, then something probably be added to the story to ensure the first three parts are interesting enough to keep viewers interested enough to get to the fourth episode. Anyhow, we'll see how that goes.

This is a book I would recommend to anyone not overly fussy on what they read. Many readers do have preferences and would rather read in one or two genres, if your preferences are a little wider then perhaps you might lie to give The Girl Before a read.
