The girl in the mirror

Well she isn't me

She keeps on smiling

And genuinely looks happy.

I don't know the girl

Staring back at me.

I try to be like her

But she runs from me.

I want to be the girl

The one in the mirror

The one who has it all together

But I look once again

At the girl I thought I knew

But her smile disappeared

And I didn't know what to do.

A tear rolled down her face.

She said, "I can't do this anymore."

She looked back at me.

And I fell the the floor.

The girl in the mirror.

Is someone I know well.

She hides her tears

And her feelings she'll never tell.

But when the night comes

And she's all alone.

She let's the tears fall.

And then the morning comes

And the act begins again.
