005, the thief monet
The vows were exchanged, the rings were placed, and the newlyweds were officially announced as husband and wife. And the guests emptied of the church and headed to their homes. The wedding was over, and the Shelbys headed to the hotel they rented for the occasion.
Jules took the band and went to their hotel, leaving Juliette with Nico who was beside her walking down the hall of the hotel and headed to Polly's Gray room to receive her money for leading the performance tonight.
Nico's singing rang into her ears, he was the drummer in the band and his voice was horrible, he kept singing while Juliette covered her ears "Enough Nico my ears are bleeding already stop it"
Nico rolled his eyes, "You don't appreciate music"
"I do, I also appreciate silence" Juliette retorted back, scoffing as she searched for Polly's room, "look how bragging she is having a suite all by herself"
"Your jealousy is showing" Nico laughed, teasingly. Hitting her softly on her shoulders in a mockery way
"Why would I be jealous of her? If I wanted to I would've got the whole hotel by myself," Juliette replied, her voice laced with confidence as the smirk playing on her lips.
"You're such a show off—"
"Grow up, Nico, and stop groaning like a 5-year-old" Juliette rolled her eyes, finally finding Polly's room. "Stay here, if I'm not out in ten minutes call the police"
"Grow up Juliette" He mocked her with a smile as she knocked on the door. When he saw how serious she was, his smile turned into a frown "Are you serious?"
"Yep, that woman is crazy, 10 minutes Nico" Juliette laughed, but then the door opened, and she immediately was met with Polly's smile
As she walked in she scanned the room, the beautiful expensive room. For an old woman, she does have a taste. Juliette turned to Polly and flashed her a grin. "The 10 minutes began now"
Polly laughed at her joke, she heard her obviously from the door. "Never change, Juliette" She directs her to the couch for them to sit. "Tonight you and the band did an amazing job. Didn't expect that from a little girl"
"Little? You're flattering me, Polly." Juliette laughed along, playing with a strand of her hair. As her eyes still scanned the surrounding
"You were late, expected you to become early for your money," Polly questioned, hoping to make a longer conversation with her
"You don't know what happened?" Juliette asked, with a smirk. Wrapping her shawl tightly around her shoulders. "People loved us so much, so they didn't stop calling the sereption—"
"reception" Polly corrected her with a smile, she was told that Juliette hadn't had a proper education in English and she only developed it with her traveling to serve at weddings
"yeah, that. Their phone never stopped ringing and they're asking for us. Jules has been taking orders for a whole week, yeah. we're getting famous here." Juliette explained, flinging the end of her hair over her shoulder proudly of what they achieved.
"What can I say? You do deserve it" Polly chuckled at how Juliette explained. "Our wedding was a charm luck for your band"
Juliette grinned and nodded. Then gasped forgetting that she had somewhere else to be. "Excuse me I'm in a hurry and I have to go because I have to cover a party in a place called — Short Health?"
"Short Heath" Polly corrected her with a wider smile, she had been used to her. Juliette wasn't a very educated woman, she spelled some of the words wrong, and that is what made her special in Polly's eyes
"You're good at geography" Juliette pointed with a wide smile, then continued "and then at midnight at three I have a party, then tomorrow at three in the afternoon we have a birthday party in Spring Vale"
Polly raised an eyebrow, then leaned closer to Juliette. "If you reach Spring Vale be careful, their parties are not very innocent" Polly warned her, a voice came out in concern
Juliette falls into a laugh, pushing Polly's shoulder playfully, then pointing at herself. "Does this band leader look innocent to you Polly? In France we had worse, I can handle them"
Polly's smile hangs on her lips in shock. She didn't know what to say, gaze lingering on Juliette for a second. "Let me go and get your check from inside give me a minute"
Juliette nodded and sat back, enjoying herself. Suddenly her eyes lingered on the table in front of her. The diamond earring rested on it, her mouth gaped in shock, then grinned. She stared back where Polly went and then back to the earrings.
Seeing that Polly hadn't come yet, Juliette took the gum from her mouth and placed it on the earrings, then took them into her mouth and swallowed the gum that had the earring stuck in it, and then opened the bottle of water and gulped it to help her swallow the earring. Then looking back to the other 2 on the table she took them and swallowed them quickly.
It was an old method she used to do when she was young, no one would expect it inside her, and it always worked and she got them out by making herself throw up which was easy for her. "Polly!" Juliette yelled for her to hear her as she was still in the other room.
"Yes!" She answered back
"Do you have here an aspirin? My head is killing me from hearing the drums for 3 days in a row" Juliette asked, leaning against the couch, breathing hard from her action just now, having three diamonds in her stomach wasn't exactly a pleasant feeling but it was worth it
"I hope you didn't catch a cold, dear" Polly yelled back, still in the room.
"I don't think so, maybe it's from the smoke" Juliette yelled, as she watched Polly coming back with a check on her right hand and aspirin on the other.
She handed it to her, with a concerned look on her face, "You smoke? at your very young age"
Juliette raised an eyebrow, as she slipped the check inside her bra. "You don't smoke?"
"Well, I used to" Polly mumbled, her face dropping as she faced away. Juliette smirked for a second, knowing really well why she dropped smoking.
"Then you must get high to the corridor don't you?" Juliette smirked, giving her a playful push on the shoulder
"No, Juliette! I don't do drugs" Polly's eyes winded, shaking her head
Juliette sends a wink toward her, teasingly. Then let out a laugh. "Now I understand. You're in love that's why don't you?"
Polly shook her head, laughing along with Juliette. "I didn't do this at a young age so I can do it now. Hell, I have a son who is even taller than me"
Juliette gasped, "So you stopped smoking, you don't get high and you're not in love? How are you still alive till now Polly Gray?"
Polly couldn't help but laugh at Juliette's comment, she grew to like this girl more than she expected and in a short amount of time, did not know what her true intention was. "isn't smoking, getting high and falling in love temperament?"
"Yeah of course it's temperament"
"And when they end doesn't temperament end with them as well?" Polly asked, in more of making a sense to her
"wisdom" Juliette smirked nodding her head. "You're not that easy to understand. Tell me what you do please, smoking is making me broke"
"Well you could do so many things, like reading a book, attending lectures, being around family, hanging with friends—"
"no no no, book and a lecture? Is these are temperament or punishment?" Juliette covered her ears dramatically. "Polly if I read one sentence from a book I'll get poisoning my body isn't used for this"
Polly threw her head back laughing, "You don't fail to make me laugh, Juliette"
Juliette grinned, then gasped remembering that she had a place to be going to. "I'll go now so I don't run late, we passed that 10 minutes I hope Nico isn't stupid enough to run to the police"
Polly stood with her, walking her to the door. "Thanks for everything again"
Julie linked her arms with Polly's as they walked slowly to the door. "Polly? Why don't you come with me to Short Health"
"Heath, heath" Polly corrected for the last time
"All the same, I'm scared for you from getting poison from that 300-page book" Juliette snickered as she and Polly stood in front of the door.
"I'll be fine" Polly smiles, opening the door for her
"Goodnight" Juliette waved and blew a kiss in the air, before spreading and walking away
When Polly closed the door, she couldn't help but smile fondly at Juliette as she heard the sound of her heels fading away. Slowly walking back to the couch the smile never left her lips. Then her eyes landed on the table that should have the diamond earrings on it, seeing it empty made her smile turn to a frown — turning around and rushing to the door calling for Juliette as she saw her alone
"Polly changed your mind and you're coming with me?" Juliette smirked, looking back at her
"The table in front of the couch had 2 earrings all of them are gone, did you see them" Polly knew that Juliette had taken them, she was the only person who was inside the room with her
Juliette gasped and put her hand on her mouth, pretending to be shocked. Glaring at her. "What! You're giving me the check and then making me pay for earrings? No, Mrs. Gray wake up!"
Polly's eyes widened, her eyes were lashing out at her. "Be quiet, you're in a respected place and all these doors behind them our allies and connections be quiet"
Juliette raised an eyebrow. Chuckling even more louder. "I haven't yet been loud. I can spread a carpet out and let those who haven't paid sees"
"Look no one got inside my room except for you, so give me my earrings or else—"
"Or else what you're going to call the police?" Juliette matched her glare, shouting loudly. "I'm shivering,"
Polly saw it in her eyes, she wasn't afraid at all, the woman in front of her was fearless and smart at the same time, there was no use in trying to threaten her or scare her, knowing she'd get nothing. Polly sighed, "Fine, we will meet again and I will break bones for it"
Juliette chuckled, her eyes gleaming in challenge "I'll look forward to it, Polly" With that she turned around and walked away from her, with her smirk on her lips and earrings in her stomach
