001, welcome Juliette Monet
My mother always used to say, "Every woman is born a dancer." But what is dancing, really? Isn't it just a form of shaking? I could bet on it. I could bet that deep down, everyone's a dancer, and everyone's got that inner shaker.
There's the one who gets shaken by a child. And the one who shakes her the hope. And the one who rattles her pride. And the one who shatters her with betrayal. And the one who stirs her with love. And the one who stokes her jealousy.
But among all these women, there's only one who truly comprehends the world's griminess. Nothing shakes her except for the drums. And that's me, Juliette Monet.
"Madam Julies?"
Juliette gasped, swiftly turning her head toward the passport stamp officer. "Madam? Does this figure resemble a 'madam'?" She gestured towards herself. "I'd rather be called 'Mademoiselle'."
"Mademoiselle Julies?" The man inquired.
"It's Juliette," she corrected, giving a warm smile. "Juliette Monet." Her voice carried a hint of pride and identity as she said her name.
"Residents place?" He asked
"The Midland Hotel," she replied, nonchalantly chewing her gum. She rolled her eyes at the impatient voices from the people behind her, urging them to hurry up.
"Reason for visiting?" He asked again.
"I'm helping organize one of the biggest weddings ever, a grand and thrilling affair," she answered with a smile, paying no mind to the clamor behind her.
"So, you're a singer?" He asked.
"No, I actually own a band," she winked at him, a playful glint in her eye. "I'm the boss of the business myself."
"What's taking you so long?" Jules impatiently approached her sister. She gestured toward the growing frustration among the crowd. "These people are getting really upset."
"I don't care," Juliette smirked confidently. "We were here first."
"Are you serious?" Jules whispered, tugging at her sister's arm. "Let's get out of here."
With their passport stamps in hand, Juliette, accompanied by her sister and her band, embarked on their journey to prepare for the upcoming wedding. Their path was set, and the excitement in the air was palpable as they made their way towards the hotel.
When Juliette received the call from none other than Polly Shelby, she left no stone unturned to ensure perfection. Typically, when someone requested her band, she wouldn't personally oversee their wedding preparations; her sister would take charge to ensure everything went smoothly. However, Polly Shelby's request was exceptional, prompting Juliette to take matters into her own hands.
However, when Polly made that call, everything changed for Juliette and her sister. She was insistent on taking the lead and ensuring perfection personally. Juliette possessed an intimate knowledge of the Shelbys and the Peaky Blinders; it was impossible not to. After all, they were the ones who had once shattered her and her sister's lives.
Polly generously covered all the expenses for the band, including their meals, accommodation, and travel. However, she kept her plan to bring a band to the wedding a well-guarded secret, wanting it to be a delightful surprise for everyone.
Juliette, her sister, and the band made a grand entrance into the hotel, the rhythmic beat of their drums echoing through the lobby. Though they couldn't help but feel the judgmental gazes upon them, they paid no mind. They were here for fun, and fun they would have, regardless of the onlookers' opinions. The thunderous drumbeats resonated so loudly that they reverberated through the entire street, and their powerful singing seemed to envelop the entire area. It was a performance that couldn't be ignored, commanding attention from all around.
The hotel manager observed the spectacle, but he wisely chose not to intervene. He understood that Juliette had affiliations with the Shelby family, and he had no desire to entangle himself with the notorious Peaky Blinders.
They strolled down the hallway, their voices in harmony. A perpetual smile graced Jules's face; she cherished these moments when the band sang, as it transported her to another realm, far from the trials of the harsh world.
Juliette called out to her band, immediately hushing their singing. "That's enough for now," she advised them, a playful grin tugging at her lips. "Let's save this energy for the wedding. Who knows, maybe they'll be so impressed they'll double our pay," she suggested with a mischievous smirk.
"Yeah, right," Jules scoffed, her skepticism about the Shelbys evident. She couldn't shake the belief that entrusting their wedding to them was a risky idea, considering the past actions of the family that had once caused them so much harm.
"Nico," Juliette called out to one of her team members. "Please, help me with this code thing and find out which room is mine." She handed him the key card and followed him as he guided her to her room.
The three of them reached the room, and as they swung open the door, their eyes widened at the sheer size and beauty of the space before them.
Juliette casually tossed her purse onto a nearby table and kicked off her high heels, taking a few steps around the room. "I'm absolutely famished," she exclaimed with a groan. "Nico, give the reservations or whatever their name is a call, and order us some food. Put it on Shelby's account," she instructed.
After the band settled in. Juliette started to unpack her things while Jules watched her with wonder leaning on the doorstep
"Tell me what's on your mind," Juliette asked not taking her eyes off of her bag.
"Why are we here sister?" Jules stepped into the room and sat on Juliette's bed crossing her legs "Why are we really here and why are we working for the Shelbys and don't tell me because of the money we have a lot of it and we have a lot of customers why shelbys?"
Juliette closed her eyes for a second, threw her clothes, and made her way to her sister's sitting across from her. her hand made her way to her sister's hair brushing it off of her face "Look Jules, I can't tell you what I'm planning now when it's not completed, I just want you to trust me in this"
Jules nodded and held her sister's hand "I do trust you" She whispered "You're my sister and you've made a lot of sacrifices for me I'm sorry"
Juliette smiled Widely "I love you, and you're my little sister ill do anything for you"
Jules smiled and hugged her sister tightly. After what they had been through and the challenges they come across they were closer than ever, Juliette made a lot of sacrifices to make sure her sister was happy and safe after what happened

After settling in the hotel, the night wore on, and then band knocked on their door. Hoping for an entertainment night, like they always do.
The hotel room buzzed with laughter as Juliette, Jules, and their bandmates, including Nico and a couple of other lads, gathered in the living room. The aroma of the food they ordered flowed through the air, teasing their senses. The spread, all charged to the Shelby account, was laid out before them like a feast fit for kings.
Juliette, lounging on a plush chair, studied the room with a satisfied grin. "Shelbys sure know how to host a band," she remarked, popping a grape into her mouth. "I could get used to this."
Jules, perched on the armrest of Juliette's chair, smirked. "Used to it? You already act like you own the place."
"Well, they practically handed it over when they booked us," Juliette replied, savoring the juicy bite of a strawberry. "Besides, we bring the party wherever we go."
Nico, sitting on the floor with a plate balanced on his knee, chuckled. "Speaking of parties, did you see the looks on those folks' faces in the lobby when we strutted in?"
The other men joined in the laughter, reminiscing about the bewildered expressions of the hotel guests witnessing their grand entrance.
"Imagine their faces at the wedding," one of the lads added, taking a hearty sip of the complimentary champagne.
Juliette raised her glass, toasting, "To turning Shelby weddings into unforgettable spectacles!"
Nico chimed in, "I'm so not complaining. This is the fanciest gig we've ever landed."
They dug into the feast, indulging in the luxurious spread as they continued chatting about the mysterious Shelby family.
