Let the demons run wild and free.

"HARLAI, ARE YOU SURE you want to do this?"

The woman was standing face-to-face with the grounder, her eyes locked right onto his dark irises. She could feel Bellamy's breath on her neck and she almost shivered in reaction, but stopped herself. "Yes. He took Octavia from us and one of them- probably him because who knows- almost killed me. He probably even killed Finn because he's down there fighting for his life."

Harlai finally let her eyes leave the grounder's only to look down at the blade in Bellamy's hand. Feeling her gaze, he slightly tightened his grip on the small hilt, but she placed her hand over his. She lifted her eyes to meet his, letting some emotion momentarily into her eyes, just long enough to where she could get what she wanted. "Please, Bellamy. I-I lost my mother, I can't lose anyone else." These words were true and it almost made her snap back into reality, but she pushed it away.

"Fine." Bellamy's response was almost immediate as he let his grip loosen, enough to where Harlai was able to grab the knife.

Turning back to the grounder, she dragged the tip of the blade up his chest. "Now, you're gonna tell me everything you know about us." The corners of her pale lips curved upwards in a small smirk and she looked up at the grounder who was at least two heads taller than her. To most, the height difference and the glare in his eyes would be extremely intimidating, but the new Harlai brushed it off.

"No answer? I guess I gotta bribe you a little bit." Harlai let out a quiet chuckle and she stopped the tip right at his large collarbone, pressing it into his skin and dragging over it. She watched as the blood began to trickle down his chest and his muscles tightened as instinct to the pain.

Everything in Harlai's brain, her conscience, was screaming at her to stop, but the demons within silenced the noise. The demons were finally let out by the sorrow that developed into madness, letting them release their destructive thoughts and impulses. With that absence of someone that she loved and endeared, she was a whole other person.

"Harlai, that's enough." Bellamy's voice halted her movement as the sound boomed throughout the room. He grabbed her hand and yanked it away from the grounder. He couldn't stand seeing her like this.

Harlai's head snapped towards Bellamy as she seethed and her lips parted to say something just as someone began to bang on the hatch from below. "Open the door!" Clarke yelled.

"Don't, Bellamy." She told him as she shook her head. All Clarke was going to do was tell them that this wasn't right once again.

Bellamy shook his head as the pounding continued and he walked over to the hatch, ignoring Harlai's order. She let out a quiet huff as Miller kicked the thing that was blocking the door away and opened the hatch for Clarke who immediately poked her head up.

"Get out of my way, Miller. Now!" She yelled, watching as he dropped his hand so she could climb all the way up.

Clarke walked over to where Harlai and the grounder were standing, her eyes flickering to the blade in Harlai's hand before ignoring it and looking at the grounder. She held up a bloodied knife which looked like the one she pulled from Finn's chest. "What's on this?"

"What are you talking about?" Bellamy asked as he looked at the knife.

"He poisoned the blade." Clarke told him. Harlai's eyes fell upon Octavia who stood behind them, a look of shock appearing on her face. She seemed to have formed an opinion on the grounder, an opinion that might make her think he didn't do such a thing. "All this time he knew Finn was going to die no matter what we did. What is it?!"

Harlai glared at the grounder and she stood beside Clarke, pulling the knife out of her hand. "Is there an antidote?"

"Harlai, he doesn't understand either of you." The brunette heard her friend's voice behind her, but she knew that he knew what they were asking.

"Vials." Bellamy said a second later which gained Harlai's attention, as well as Clarke's. He walked over to a tiny collection of vials that the grounder had, picking them up. "It's gotta be here."

Clarke grabbed them from him and looked at them. "You'd have to be stupid to have a poison around this long without an antidote."

Harlai kept her eyes on the grounder while Clarke held up the vials. "Which one?" The blonde asked, but the man in front of Harlai didn't answer.

"Answer the question!" Bellamy's voice thundered through the room once again.

"Show us. Please." Octavia whimpered.

"Which one? Our friend is dying down there and you can stop that!" Clarke exclaimed, all of them trying to persuade an answer out of him.

"I'll get him to talk." Bellamy began to raise his fist only for Octavia to pull him back. "He wants Finn to die! Why can't you see that?" He then looked from his sister to Clarke. "Do you want him to live or not?"

As they all bickered, Harlai's hand tingled around the poisoned blade as she squeezed the tiny hilt.

"Clarke, you even said it yourself." Octavia continued, but their voices were starting to be drowned out by the demons in Harlai's head. "This is not who we are! He was protecting me. He saved my life."

"We're talking about Finn's life." Bellamy's voice overpowered Octavia's and a second later, Clarke answered.

"Do it."

"Just tell us!" Harlai exploded as she brought the knife up, not exactly sure where her target was going to be, but a fist clamped around her wrist, giving it a squeeze so she'd drop the poisoned knife.

"He can't tell us anything if he dies, too, sweetheart." Bellamy whispered this into her ear, making that waiting shiver slither down her spine.

"He isn't going to anyways!" Harlai snatched her hand away from Bellamy who only motioned for the guys to get her. "Bellamy, let me help!" When one of his little minions grabbed at her arm, she whirled around and sent her fist colliding with his cheekbone.

The boy stumbled back as pain shot through her fist, reopening the wounds from when she punched the ground after Charlotte. Bellamy frowned and he shared a look with Clarke who shared that look of worry. They both knew why she was acting out like this and they had to do something. Another boy leapt over to grasp her waist with his arms, tugging her away from the grounder.

Once she was pulled to the back of the room as she thrashed against the boy, Bellamy turned to cut down a long red strap down from a wall. Harlai was fuming as she tried to get away.

"Miller, put her downstairs." Clarke ordered and Harlai shot the blonde a glare.

Realizing they wouldn't let her do anything, she pulled her arm away from Miller and calmed down. "I'll escort myself, thank you." She spit this at Clarke. Her mind was churning, making her think of anyway to be mad at anyone. For now, she was mad at Clarke because she had a mother. Whatever happened up there, Abby got out of something that Elise didn't and that made Harlai furious.

She gave Bellamy one last look as he cut off the grounder's shirt and she began to climb down the ladder, the hatch slamming shut after her. Downstairs, the Finn situation was pretty bad. Raven was hovering over his seizing body and looked to Harlai. "Clarke, he's getting worse!"

"If they let me do what I wanted, Finn would be getting the antidote right now." Harlai growled as she stormed over to the other side of the room, plopping her ass right down on the ground. Raven sent her a confused look. This wasn't Harlai. That's exactly what everyone found out pretty quickly.

"What's taking so long? He stopped breathing." Raven yelled as she went up the ladder quickly. Harlai could hear everything going on upstairs. She heard everytime Bellamy tortured the grounder and she wished it was her doing the torturing.

"He started again, but next time he might not." Raven replied to Clarke's franticness.

"He won't tell us anything." Clarke told Raven, talking about the grounder.

"Wanna bet?" Harlai heard Raven ask which made her turn her head in interest. She slowly walked to the ladder and climbed up, peeking her head over the entrance.

Raven went to one side of the room and yanked out some wires, the sound of electricity zapping immediately after. The grounder looked over in shock and began to inch away as far as he could with his chains on. Harlai's eyes flickered to where his hand was bleeding, something being shoved right into the palm. That must've been why she heard the grounder grunting so loud moments before.

"What are you doing?" Bellamy asked, making Harlai's eyes flicker over to him. She could feel her heart trying to mend itself, just for him, but she didn't want it to. If it did, it would be just as easy to break.

"Showing him something new." Raven told him as she brushed the wires against each other, sparks flying everywhere. Not sparing another second, the caramel skinned girl pushed the tips of the wires to the grounder's chest. The lights began to flicker as electricity met with his body, sending him in a fit of yells and twitches.

Harlai's eyes widened slightly in surprise and they actually teared up a little. She wanted to be strong, to have no emotions, and to not feel so helpless all the time. As she saw the grounder in so much pain and heard Finn's moans, her heart clenched even more. The worst part about it was, her heart would never have enough time to heal because they always lost someone or were close to losing someone.

"Come on!" Raven yelled as she watched the grounder. Without any hesitation, she electrocuted him again. Harlai squeezed her eyes shut as the electricity buzzed throughout the dropship and so did the grounder's screams. "He's all I have!"

"No more!" Octavia screamed with tears in her eyes. Harlai looked over to her and saw she was holding the poisoned blade. She looked at the grounder as she dragged the tip over her arm, letting the poison fuse with her exposed blood.

"Octavia, no!" Bellamy yelled as the grounder jumped. The way he reacted made Harlai wonder if he actually cared for her.

Harlai scrambled up the rest of the ladder and she ran over to Octavia. "He won't let me die." The woman breathed out as she began to walk towards him.

"Octavia, what the hell did you-"

She moved out of Bellamy's way as he began to reach for her only to fall to her knees in front of the grounder. Harlai moved in closer and watched as the younger girl pointed the tip of the knife to a vial. "Is it this one?"

When he didn't do anything, she moved to another. He gave a little nod. "Yeah?" He nodded again and she let out a breath of relief. "Good." She handed Clarke the vial and her and Raven ran back to the ladder, going downstairs to continue helping Finn.

Harlai took a few steps back as she made eye contact with the grounder. She felt everything slowly fall over her as if someone threw a blanket over her head. She brought a hand over her mouth and let the tears fall as she saw the pain in his eyes. Harlai didn't even do much to hurt him, but she let the others do worse.

"Don't touch me!" Octavia grunted as Bellamy tried to console her. Harlai hoped that her friend wouldn't be mad at her. She knew she couldn't lose anyone else.
