ROGUE'S POV

I and Juvia went to the swimming pool because that was the only place which was not crowded.

The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, bringing back the memories of how we used to back during the school days.

I feared she might feel uncomfortable around me but she wasn't which made me happy.

"So Rogue-kun, how is your college life here in this institute?"

"At the start, it was a bit difficult. But as time passed by, I got quite comfortable and found the present set of friends. They are fun to hang around and really friendly.
         But sometimes, they can be mean to others which I try to stop but they won't listen to me. So I let them do whatever they want. I don't interfere in those things." I said.

"But they did listen to you back then." She giggled.

"That's because you are my friend and how can I let you fall for such illogical things." I said with a small blush.

Even though she rejected my confession, my feelings for her still remained as such.

Today the way I saw her with that other guy made me jealous.

I want to know what kind of relationship she shares with him. So I decided to approach her with the same question once again. 

Last time she rejected me, I didn't force her but let's see if she has changed over the time.

When I was going to ask her, she pulled a ring from her pocket and wore it in her finger. She wasn't even looking at it. 

I guess, she wore it unconsciously as she was busy in her thoughts.

"Juvia, can I ask you a question?"

"Oh sorry Rogue-kun, did you say anything? I didn't listen. Sorry."

"It's okay. I was about to ask you a question. Juvia, what do you feel about me? I still love you Juvia."

She looked shocked and bowed her head down, "Sorry Rogue-kun, I thought you would have forgotten about that by now but you didn't. You are my best friend, Rogue-kun and I don't see you more than that."

She gave an uncomfortable smile.

"Okay fine Juvia. May I know if you are dating anyone? If not try thinking about giving me a chance."

"I'm not dating anyone but ..." She said.

"Listen Juvia, I'm not forcing you. Fine, think about it and tomorrow I have my track event. I will be participating in a 300m race.
      If you come, I will think you are giving me a chance and if not, I won't bother you ever in this matter." I said with determination while looking into her blue orbs.

"Rogue-kun, I will come......"

NEXT DAY 

GRAY'S POV

I got up and woke others up so that we could get ready and go for the competitions.

Today we will have the boys track events and girls swim events. We are determined to win all the events to lift the trophy.

"Hey ice-prick, you look all better. Are you sure?" Natsu asked me.

"Stop it flame-breath!! I don't want to ruin my mood before the games. Come let's go."

We went to the track field and saw Lucy, Erza and Levy waiting for us.

"Hey, where is Sprinkler?" Gajeel asked Levy.

"Oh the swim events have begun. She, Lisanna and Cana are at the swimming pool. First, it will be Lissy's match."

'The 400m track event is about to begin. All the participants are required to come up to the pit to take their slot...' Coach of Sabertooth Academy announced.

"Gajeel, it's your turn to go on. All the best. We will be cheering for you. I will cheer for you." Levy kissed his cheeks and whispered the last part.

"I'm all fired up." Gajeel smirked.

"Hey metal-head,don't go copying my lines." Nastu yelled.

After some time, the game started and from the beginning itself, Gajeel was on the lead and just under 2 minutes he covered the 400m. 

We won the first race. The girls hugged themselves. Levy went upto Gajeel and gave him a reward.

The Sabertooth's Orga came 2nd and Quattro Cerberus's Bacchus came 3rd.

After sometime, Lisanna came up to the field, she informed us, she won the 2nd place in the 200m front stroke while the Sabertooth's Yukino won 1st place and Betty from Mermaid's won 3rd place.

"So who's match is it now?" Lissanna asked Erza.

"Now I guess, it's Natsu's turn." Erza said.

'The 200m track event is about to begin. All the participants make your way to the field.' Another announcement was made.

Lucy wished him luck with a kiss on his lips. The match began, from the start the race was head on between Natsu and Rufus of Sabertooth and followed by Ren from the Blue Pegasus.

The race ended and both of them crossed the line at the same time. They watched the visuals to find whose foot was first placed. 

After thoroughly watching, it turns out to be Rufus has placed his foot first and further. 

So he was given the 1st place. This caused a lot of anger to Natsu on himself but Lucy and others consoled him.

After a break of half an hour, my race was going to begin.

We were sitting on the bench talking about upcoming races.

Then someone interrupted us, "Well Rogue, did you make her open up about her feelings for you?" Sting asked him, clearly his intention was to make me pissed.

"Didn't I say to you what happened yesterday so stop it. I have my race next." Rogue said with a stoic face.

"Yeah I know. She told you right, she will come to watch you win the race. After all, you have known her more than any other idiot. HahaHaha.." Sting laughed looking at me.

I gritted my teeth and clutched my palm and got up but Jellal stopped me.

"Leave him, Gray. He is doing this to make you angry so that they can win the race. Don't fall for his cheap tricks."

"Stop it Sting. She did say she will come to cheer....." Rogue's mouth was covered by Sting.

"Dude, I know your babe will come to cheer for you. If she comes, it will mean that she has accepted your confession. I'm sure she will come Rogue." He patted his friend's back.

"Hey Gray, don't believe his words. He is sprouting some nonsense. She won't come to cheer for him. She loves you, Gray." Lucy tried to convince me.

"Let's see for whom she will come and cheer for?" I said and stood up to do some warm-up exercises.

JUVIA'S POV

After Cana-San's 100m butterfly stroke, my race, 200m backstroke will begin. I have to finish my race soon to go and cheer for Gray.

Yesterday, I rejected Rogue-kun's confession and told him that I will come to cheer for my Gray.

He openly accepted my answer and told me he wishes for my happiness.

I told him, he will always be my best friend.

'200m backstroke race is about to begin. All the participants assemble near your podium.'

I went upto Cana, she finished her race in 3rd place as Meredy from Mermaid's came 1st, followed by Jenny from the Blue Pegasus.

I told her to stand at the opposite side of the pool with a towel because as soon as I finish the race, I will wrap the towel around my body and make my way to the field. She agreed.

I stood at the 4th podium as soon the bell rang, I dived into water and began to strike the water with my arms. Soon after 1 minutes, I finished the race.

Yeah I won first place and grabbed the towel from Cana and ran off.

While running everyone was giving me a weird look which I didn't care about because my mind was fixed to go and cheer for my Gray and this would be a surprise for him as well.

I reached the ground and made my way to the bench where our team was seated.

"Hey Juvia, what are you doing here? Did you finish your game or not?" Lucy-san asked me worryingly.

"Sprinkler, what's with this getup? Go cover up or else you will catch cold." Gajeel-kun was scolding me.

I was breathing heavily and also searching for Gray. Once I calmed down, I asked where he was.

"He is there on the tracks getting ready. He missed your wishes." Levy-san told me.

"That's why, I finished my race soon so that I can wish and cheer for him because he is my....." I blushed thinking for an answer.

"He is what??" Everyone teased me in unison.

"Shut up, he is my friend and my fellow roommate." I said with a blush. It's too early to confirm my feelings to them.

They began to laugh. Then Jellal began to shout, "Hey Gray, look who has come to cheer you up?" I blushed wildly. He was making a scene. But Gray couldn't hear out.

Then his race began, he was leading. I was clapping and praying that he shouldn't get hurt while running.

And soon he crossed the finish line, he came first followed by Rogue. The girls hugged me and I smiled brightly.

"Looks like her husband has won." Erza-san teased me. I didn't care.

He came towards the bench and saw me with a smile on his face. I smiled back and congratulated him.

"Sorry Gray, I couldn't come a bit early to wish you luck. But I'm happy that I saw you winning the race." I had the urge to hug him but controlled it.

"Thank you, Juvia. I thought you will come and cheer for your best friend." Gray said in a mocking tone. I clearly understood what he meant by those words.

"I told him clearly yesterday that I will come to watch this race only for you." I said with a blush.

Then he noticed the ring in my hands, "Hey, why are you wearing this?"

"She's been wearing this from yesterday night." Lucy-san told him.

"Just simply, Gray. I felt so. You and I know this ring doesn't have any meaning. So I thought of using this like an accessory."

"As you wish Juvia" He said with a smile.

Just then, I heard Rogue-kun's voice, "Gray Fullbuster, I guess, that's your name congrats on winning the race and ... let it be. I'm sorry for what my friend did a while back for irritating you."

"Rogue-kun, congratulations to you too." I said with a smile but he had a vague smile. 

"Thank you Juvia. Now I know your answer, bye." I waved him bye.

After some time, my race got over. I won the 400m breaststroke and 400m butterfly stroke in the 1st place followed by Minerva of Sabertooth won the 2nd place followed by Meredy of Mermaid.

At the end of the day1, we were on the top of the chart leading with 120 points while the Sabertooth got 100 points and followed by a tie between Mermaid and Blue Pegasus with 50 points.
