GRAY'S POV

"Hello, Myself Gray Fullbuster, I saw your advertisement for an empty 1BHK apartment.
   So, can I get that space for rent? "

I asked the manager of the H & M housing agent who happened to be a middle aged stout man.

" Yes Mr.Fullbuster. That place is available for now. If you are free today, then you check out for yourself whether it is comfortable."

"No problem, I liked that place because it is near my college . So do you have any concession regarding the rent as I feel it is slightly high?"

I let out a small chuckle, clearly feeling embarrassed about asking for the discount.

"I'm sorry, sir. You have to pay the full mentioned rent of 10,000J to the landlady. 
   As of now, you have to pay 5000J to register that place for yourself."

"Sure I will pay. I just thought of asking it. Thank you." 

After I paid the registration amount, suddenly the doors opened to reveal a staff member and a pretty blunette who looked pretty beautiful. 

I blushed looking at her but looked away as soon as our eyes met.

"Mr.Dorwin, this is Ms.Locksar. She says she has paid the registration fee for that apartment at the Snowlane locality. 
   But our records say otherwise." 

The staff lady was conversing with the manager.

My eyes took a glance at the blunette who looked anxious. She clearly looks like someone who doesn't belong to Magnolia. 

Every time I see her a warm sensation builds up in my system which I'm feeling for the first time in a while.

"Will you quit staring at me like I'm some piece of meat, pervert?"    
        She snapped at me in a harsh and rude manner.

I was dumbfounded for a second, how a beauty like her has an arrogant personality.

I without letting down my pride snapped at her in an equally harsh tone,
    " Shut up, mind your words. Who said I was looking at you? I was looking at those fishes in the tank." 

She glared at me and silently cursed me under her breath. I can't ignore this fact that even her voice is soothing and beautiful just like her.

"Mr.Fullbuster, can you just give me a moment so that after sorting out this issue, I will continue with our talks."   
          I nodded and took a seat on the couch at the reception.

"Ms.Locksar, do you have the receipt which our staff would have given you when you paid the amount?"

"No sir. The staff member, I guess his name was Louis Herman, he told me payment was enough and I could move over there tomorrow.
   But once I reached the place, the landlady said she didn't receive any information about it." 

That girl spoke clearly, being nervous but displayed a bold exterior. 

"She is so naive for her arrogant attitude. She was easily fooled by that staff. How can she believe him without receiving the receipt?" I thought, "Beauty in vain."

"We are sorry, Ms.Locksar. Yesterday only, we fired him after finding out he was fraudulent.
   I think he might have squandered your money. We are sorry and can't help you out." The manager apologised to her.

She looked shocked and tears threatening to fall from her eyes but managed to pull up the stoic face. Her voice was clearly breaking.

"So do you have any other empty place for me to accommodate with the same rent?"

"We are yet again sorry, Ms.Locksar. For now we don't have a place and the apartment which you were seeking for has already been registered by Mr.Fullbuster now."

She looked towards my way and I looked away. 

"But sir, I'm urgently in need of an accommodation. What can I do? Please help me" 

She spoke with tears falling down her eyes. Seeing her cry, I began to feel sad for her.

Then the staff lady spoke, "Well Ms.Locksar, I have an idea if you are feeling comfortable then I will say it out."

"Please do give your valuable suggestion."

"Well Ms.Locksar, if you don't mind then you can be a roommate with Mr.Fullbuster for sometime until we find you an apartment of your requirement."

I was shocked with the idea and refused. But the blunette was thinking for sometime and then spoke,

"No I can't stay with this pervert. Please give me some other idea."

Now my man's pride was hurt once again. How dare she say I'm a pervert and it makes me look like some bad guy.

"No Ms.Locksar. I think it is a good idea. It's just for a few months do look upon it. 
      Anyways, you needed that place for a few months only, right. So it will be a good idea." 

The staff lady began to convince her and tried convincing me as well to help her out.

After thinking for a few minutes, I looked at her. I felt sorry for her anyways, she needed that place just for a few months. 

So I agreed to the idea. I looked at the blunette and she nodded and clearly a pink tint of blush adorned her cheeks. She looked even more cute with the blush.

"But we have a small problem over there, Ms.Locksar. The landlady is an orthodox type.   
     She clearly doesn't entertain the idea of a man and woman living together before marriage.
     It is either a bachelor's life over there or a married life."

The manager gave out a shocking revelation which made her tear up again.

The staff lady spoke again with another idea which was hilarious and shocking.

"Well they can act as a married couple. It's just for a few months right. So what do you say?"
   She smiled at us.

"Are you ridiculous? How is your head able to process such insane ideas?"
      I snapped at the lady. I thought the blunette would also shout at her but she remained calm.

"I'm fine with it. Anyways, it's for a few months and I'm desperately in need of a place. So I like the idea. What about you, Fullbuster?"
   The blunette asked me.

I thought for a few minutes and came to realise it would be a nice way to save money as the rent will be half-half share. 

And would it hurt to stay with a beauty under the same roof. It would be a good experience too.

"Okay I agree. As a fine gentleman, I would like to help a lady in need.
    So Ms.Locksar, from now on for a stipulated time you will be my fake wife."

She nodded and remained stoic.

Then the manager handed the receipt and gave us the address and asked us to meet the landlady who goes by the name Layla Ashley which I found familiar.

LATER IN THE EVENING

"So you guys are the new tenants. Wow that too, a young married couples. Nice meeting you both.
   Girl, you could have shown me the receipt. No problem, take the key and your apartment is on the 1st floor." 

A middle-aged blonde lady who had her hair in pixie style welcomed us who kind of looked similar to my friend Lucy Heartfillia.
   
"So what's your name? By the looks, I guess , you guys must be around my daughter's age."

"Well my name is Gray Fullbuster. And my wife...."

"Juvia Fullbuster. Nice meeting you Mrs.Ashley."
      She gave a toothy grin which made her face look even more adorable.

"Well get going. I guess you must be tired. We will do the talking tomorrow. I will get dinner for you both in a few minutes."

We accepted her offer as we were hungry. Once we opened the door of our adobe, it was perfect in every sense. 

After a few minutes, she spoke to me, "Well Mr.Fullbuster thank you very much for your help. I will never forget this help of yours for the rest of  my life."

"No it's okay. Just cut the formality,  call me Gray, that's enough." 

I extended my hand for a shake which she gladly accepted.

"Well my name is Juvia Locksar, call me Juvia. Nice meeting you."

Little did I know this unexpected meeting in my life will be the sweetest memories for the rest of my life.
