" I'm going to go find more strong Aquos Bakugan. I don't want any of you dweebs following me " Mylene said to the others before she left, sharing a brief and secret glance with Volt

She was lying when she said that she was going to find more strong Aquos Bakugan. She actually was on a secret solo mission to find out if the mystery girl Aurora was still alive ...

She searched til afternoon and took a short break,  then she heard voices and hid in a  tree and saw three of the Resistance brats plus an unfamiliar brunette talking.

" Good job Christina you're training is going very well " Mira - Professor Clay's daughter said to the brunette

" Well of course it is she has us teaching her !! " Ace Grit said cockily with a smirk and that Kuso kid nodded in agreement.

The Bakugan on the girls shoulder opened up " You did well my dear " the Bakugan - a female one said.

Mylene recognized the Haos Bakugan's voice immediately. That was the Bakugan they were trying to capture before that kid - wait that means ...

The cloaked kid managed to survive the drop from the cliff and was indeed part of the Resistance.

The brunette in question smiled a bit and looked around and then looked up and met Mylene's eyes before smiling at the others " I'm gonna take a walk I'll meet you guys back at the base "

When those three left the girl looked around to make sure the others were gone before speaking " You can come out now " she said and Mylene jumped down in front of her

" You're that kid that gave us the slip - Volt was right about you surviving ... "
Christina was confused for a moment " Allow me to explain ... "

* Flashback *

It was the ending of the day and the Vexos retired to their rooms for the night. Mylene changed into a long light blue long sleeved nightgown of cotton with gold embroidery on the hems of the nightgown and brushed her hair.

Mentally she went through the day. Right up to they retired to their own rooms, Gus was complaining about how the others didn't catch the mystery girl - that is while Spectra was not present.

Most the others had the assumption that the mystery girl was dead after she stepped off the cliff.

A knock on her bedroom door interrupted her thoughts and she went to answer it.

To her slight relief it was only Volt. If it was any of the others she would have shut the door on their face.

Volt came in without a word and closed the door. He then handed her a Haos Bakugan and a design of a mask

" Tomorrow go visit the man that made our uniforms and give him this design and tell him to make it. But these in a bag and go to the forest where we last saw Aurora " he said in a hushed but firm tone.

Aurora ... that was the kid that took the Bakugan and stepped off the cliff ...

" You think the kid is still alive ? "

" I know she's alive. Unlike the rest of you I actually watched her go down the cliff. She somehow survived the fall. " Volt said.

" Gus will have a fit if he finds out and the others would have told him or Spectra, so I came here to you. You're the only one out of the Vexos that I trust. " Volt continued

Mylene sighed and put the two items in a small drawstring pouch and hid them where none of the others could find them. " Fine I'll do it, but we must be cautious. " she said. Who knows what Spectra, or worse King Zenoheld would do if they knew ...

After their conversation Volt left her room and Mylene closed the door and went to her bed and fell asleep.

* Flashback End *

Christina and Mylene seemed to talk for hours, afternoon soon giving way to evening without them realizing it.

Christina would talk about how the Resistance members were like siblings to her - and Mylene would gripe and groan about how annoying most of the other Vexos were and the disadvantages of being the only female in the group

During their conversation Mylene wound up braiding Christina's long brown locks, doing a crown braid and two small braids on either side of her face that were woven into her crown braid - and in return Christina braided Mylene's hair doing a matching crown braid and both wove flowers into the braids.

Christina had also made them matching bracelets with blue and gold stones and said that they were friendship bracelets

" What are friendship bracelets ? " Mylene asked and Christina smiled and explained the purpose of them and gave her one.

Suddenly noise came from Mylene's gauntlet " Mylene this is Volt. Prince Hydron summoned us Vexos to come to the palace " he said

Mylene looked around to see it was getting late " I'll be on my way "

" Did you find Aurora ? " he asked

" Yes, she's alive and well " Mylene said and stood up. Christina got up as well.

" Is she a part of the Resistance ? " Volt asked

" Indeed "

" Did you give her the bag I gave you? "

" Yes. I'm going to teleport to your location soon "

" Noted. We need to keep her existence a secret from the others ... "

Christina watched Mylene " Stay safe Mylie " she said smiling brightly

Mylene nodded and teleported to Volt's location - which was his room.

Volt noticed the braids and flowers, but didn't mention them.

Now off too see the royal brat ...
