The World Cup finale is set in a massive, state-of-the-art stadium, buzzing with excitement as fans from all over the world gather to witness the pinnacle of international football. The atmosphere is electric, with a sea of flags, banners, and jerseys representing various nations and the air filled with cheers chants, and the constant hum of anticipation.

Before the match, the streets surrounding the stadium are alive with festivities, as fans engage in impromptu soccer matches, enjoy traditional foods ad immerse themselves in the diverse cultures and traditions of the competing nations. Street vendors offer and array of merchandise, from scarves to face paint, adding to the carnival-like atmosphere.

Inside the stadium, as people settled in their respective seats, they witness the much awaited and anticipated opening event that featured people of high images. Actors that have decades' worth of fans and glory opened the ceremony showing a united front and paying homage and respect to the country where the game is set to take place.

Following the opening speech, the floor was graced with opening show. Famous global artists from all around the world performed live on stage, making the stadium light up with cheers and love for the songs performed. From the South Korean K-pop star, to the Nigerian global afrobeat star, and the other internationally recognized stars...it is safe to say the closing ceremony of the World Cup left an impression that would impossible to scrape off.

In the waiting room, the air is different compared to the world outside. The tension is almost suffocating. The main players, dressed in their team uniforms, sit in a semi-circle, their faces a mix of focus and anxiety. Some players pace nervously, their cleats tapping the tiled floor while others sit in silence, lost in their thoughts—completely plugged out of the excitement from outside the doors of their confine.

Yet, there's also an undeniable air of anticipation and confidence that oozes from the main players. Despite the nerves, you can see the determination in their eyes and the steely resolve in their expression.

They've trained relentlessly, and their confidence stems from the countless hours of practice, teamwork, and the belief in their abilities. As they sit in silence and go through their pre match rituals, there's a shared understanding that they are all well-prepared for this moment. They didn't come all the way here to let fear get the best of them.

Tafida, the Captain of the team got on his feet and came to stand in front of them all, his determined expression unfaltering. "Alright, team." He clapped his hands together to get their attention. When they fixed their gazes on him, he continued. "this is it, the moment we've all been waiting for. This is the second time we are making it this far, and this time around, the World Cup will be ours in shaa Allah!"

A mixture of nods of agreement and hoots came from the team, their nervousness slowly slipping away. All they needed was something to lift their spirits in that last minute.

Dean released a sigh of relief, nodding back at his teammates, satisfied with the response he's gotten. "I know we all have our fears, and I know that a lot rests on the time from this game for us." His eyes shifted to the man in the corner, hunched forward slightly.

Aahil met his brother's gaze from the corner he had tucked himself away. Despite appearing nonchalant and confident, he knew Dean could see behind that façade of his. He was scared to the core, for this is the moment that his whole career, if not like depends on.

How could he not be scared out of his wits?

Dean offered him a small, reassuring smile, despite the fact that he wasn't exactly calm instead. Aahil didn't exactly flash him the smile back, but he could see some of the fear start to chip away from the man's eyes.

Dean turned around to look at the rest of the team; from Hunter's determined expression, to Bae Hyun and Chris's strong and collected resolve as always down to the other six player's prepared stances. "We got this! Let's do this, okay? All in, victory will be ours."

"All in!"

"The Cup is ours."

"To Premier City!"

Various chants of agreement came; their collective voices being heard even outside the waiting room. But, they didn't care, for that is the sound of their determination shining through.

And yet, regardless of all this, there was still this lingering fear in Aahil that was impossible to shake off. Dean didn't fail to notice it. So, when their chants died down, he gestured for them to tone it down for he was about to speak again.

"Also, we have a very special guest to see us of...I said us because it's a member of our family as a whole," The grin he sported made Aahil quirk a brow, though he really couldn't care less about who the person Dean is referring to is. However, when Dean stepped aside so the person can make an appearance, all that changed. "guys, meet my sister."

Amina stepped in, sporting a small, seemingly nervous smile having being made to meet the complete members of Aahil's team for the first time. Upon meeting the gazes of Chris, Hunter and Bae Hyun, her nervousness disappeared as she offered them a small wave. "Hey, guys." She greeted with a huge grin.

The looks of surprise across their faces was hard to miss, not expecting to see her there.

"Noona!"

"Hey, Kiddo."

"And if it isn't the infamous Mrs. Tafida." Bae Hyun's statement earned him a slight glare from Amina, which ended with the both of them chuckling.

Their relationship has improved significantly over the past few months.

"Wait, Mrs. Tafida?" One of the team members Amina has never met before inquired, with slightly wide eyes. A mischievous that reminds Amina so much of Hunter graced his features when he got a nod that confirmed his question. "So, she's..." He turned around to look at the man in the picture.

However, before they could realize it, he's gotten on his feet and covered the distance between him and her. His hands instantly snaked around her waist, pulling her close to him in an embrace while he rested his head in the crook of her neck, inhaling that familiar scent that never fails to calm him down.

Amina chuckled, wrapping her arms around him while patting his back slightly. He need not say it, the embrace spoke volumes. So, she simply stayed in his embrace, offering the peace he so much yearned regardless of the people in the background.

Amina honestly forgot about them the minute her met his.

After a short while, he pulled back, still keeping her with arms-length. One of his hands came to rest on the side of her neck, his thumb rubbing soothing circles on a vein there. His eyes took over her expression, as if etching every bit of it in his head.

Once satisfied, his lips slanted into a warm smile. "I thought you couldn't make it because of your exams." He mumbled, his voice low. He had pretended as if he was alright with her missing this because of her exams when in reality, he wanted to sulk about it.

She pressed her lips together, shrugging slightly before she grinned. "Wanted to surprise you." She answered. "Finished it yesterday." Her hand rested on his bicep, eyes staring at the ring on her ring finger fondly.

It's not a wedding ring or anything, he just gave it to her as a symbol of his undying love for her the day she said yes to him. Just the thought of the blessed day had her smile widening.

She lifted her gaze, meeting his again. "—how can I miss my husband's big final game?" She'd missed all others because her exams just had to clash with the World Cup schedule. She hated that fact but what could she do? She's the one who decided to go back to university, she has to suffer the consequences.

However, when she got the chance to at least make it to the last, and most important game, she hopped onto it with the aid of Dean because she couldn't have been able to pull it off all alone. She needed someone on the inside, someone with the power to get her near them so she can surprise her man.

He gave her a onceover, his grin widening if possible. "You're wearing my Jersey." He commented, referring to the AT04 signed Premier City Jersey he had gifted to her. It's the very first Jersey he was given by the team, and he saved it for her.

"Of course." She grinned, whipping her imaginary hair over her shoulder. "In case you haven't noticed it, I'm a footballer's wife, a famous one at that. I ought to wear your jacket to your matches."

Aahil's grin was impossible to wipe away at that pointed, any trace of nervousness he had earlier disappearing. With one of his arms still firmed wrapped around her waist, he leaned down to place a lingering kiss on her forehead. Leaning down again, he pulled her into yet another embrace. "I missed you." He breathed out in her ear, "So much you have no idea how close I was to flying over to see you."

Amina chuckled, pinching his arm to reprimand him. "And then what? Ditch the game?" She scoffed. "I won't be able to save you away from the Coach, nor the guys if that were to happen. I'll happily throw you under the bus."

He pulled back, playfully glaring at her. "You're wicked."

"I'm being fair."

He held up the glare for a few seconds, before his hand moved to the side of her face, his thumb lightly grazing her lips. "You're lucky I love you." He leaned down to kiss her.

However, before he could, a round of 'ouuus' and cheers came from the guys, as if they are kids. Aahil groaned, annoyed that they interrupted their little moment while Amina couldn't help but chuckle, hiding her face in his chest.

"No kissing please. We're single. There's no need to oppress us any further." Hunter called out, covering his eyes as if to protect him from the sight. "Keep it PG13 also, there are kids here."

"Yeah, no PDA here please. You guys had your moment. Save the rest for when you're alone." Chris tsked, shaking his head in agreement to what Hunter said. Those two are really two peas in a pod.

"Let them be," Dean swatted Hunter's arm, for he's the culprit behind this all. He glared at the man, before turning to the couple with a warm smile. "They're newly-weds that have been apart for over two months. Let them off the hook this once."

The two got married a month after the proposal, much to Aahil's dismay because he was aiming for at most, a week after the whole thing. However, with his work and her studies, extended family involved, it took a month to tie the knot.

And even them, they could only spend about five days together before they each had to fly back to their separate countries to focus on their task at hand. They had a very small and intimate wedding, the wedding Fatiha done with the adults and the dinner involving the Jeju Squad alone, plus the guests of the hour, Inaya Sa'id and Aadil Kari—the story of how they all knew they're connected, a story for another day.

They haven't seen each other since they went their separate ways, for their tight schedule wouldn't allow it. They considered Amina moving to England with him, but she has too much love for her stay in Busan that they agreed to figure out what to do after the game has ended.

"Care to introduce the Missus to us, AT?" Inquired one of his teammates, as they were all excited to meet the infamous Tafida.

They only know her from the pictures on Aahil's Instagram account, because the two took their relationship to social media, announcing tying the knot. Amina's Instagram account blew up that instant, becoming an internet celebrity overnight and garnering over a million followers in less than a week contrary to her earlier 3k followers.

Amongst those followers of course included the members of the Premier City Club. Amina was honestly amazed by how closely knit they all are. They considered each other a family. It's a beautiful sight really.

Aahil turned around to look at them all, with her still in his arms. "Guys, meet my woman." He introduced, sporting a smug grin. "And shortcake, meet my extended family that I have no choice but to stick with despite them getting on my nerves all the time."

Amina shook her head, when his statement earned him a round of noise from the guys, opposing his statement. However, it died down soon enough when they exchanged pleasantries with her, all of them being welcoming.

"Well, as much as we all enjoyed the reunion of this lovebirds, we need to get going." Dean broke the news to them. "Time to get out there to team."

They switched to their serious modes soon enough, and with great difficulty, they managed to detach Aahil from Amina after promising to see her immediately he wins the cup and will bring it to her. She could only smile, and send him off, not before placing a quick peck on his cheek that made a grin impossible to wipe off grace his features.

She was accompanied by Kimura, whom appeared when the guys left to the area where the footballer's families stay. She sat in the front seats along with Ae Ra and Benazir, exchanging hugs after not seeing each other for a while despite living in the same country. Kimura soon enough joined them, as she officially taken the role of Aahil's manager.

It was clear by that time that there was nothing going on between her and Aahil, that much anyone can tell. However, same can't be said about her and Dean. Amina's certain there's something. She can tell. She didn't prod on it though, they had other things to focus on like the game.

As kickoff approaches, the tension in the stadium becomes palpable. Fans hold their collective breath, knowing that the destiny of their favorite team's rests on the outcome of this match. National anthems are sung with passion, and the players, and referees take the field, about to make history.

Amina held her breath when she saw Aahil appear on the filed along with the others, her stomach in knots. It's the first time she's seeing his game live. She's watched all the other games on the internet before. However, nothing beats the feeling of seeing him live.

It made it feel all surreal.

The player's nerves are evident as they go through warm-ups, and anticipation among the spectators is almost unbearable. Premier City is playing against Costa del Oro FC, a team from Spain. City United, Aahil's former team had been eliminated during the early rounds, and the only two teams to made it to the finals were about to settle it once and for all.

As the first whistle blows, the world watches in rapt attention, and the intensity of the competition reaches its peak. Every tackle, pass, and goal attempt is met with roars of approval or gasps of dismay.

As the match progresses, the excitement and tension build, and the world is united in this moment sportsmanship and competition. Amina whom had never been a fan of football before, found herself deeply engrossed in the game because soon enough, she and the ladies were amongst those cheering at the top of their voices each time Premier City scored a goal, and sported frowns when the other team won.

They held their breaths when the game ended with 2-2, and they were sent to penalty to settle the score. Aahil scored both the two scores for his team unfailingly, and each time he did, the excitement from the fans was impossible to meet. Their voices became louder than ever, their apparent love for him growing.

Even Amina's heart warmed at the sight of seeing her husband being loved this much, and seeing him succeeding as well. Because while on that field, she could see the passion he has for the game shown through.

Ultimately, the penalty became the last way to determine the winner, and the entire world sat on the edge of their seats to see it unfold. Those at home, and those at the stadium collectively prayed for their favorite to win.

Hunter scored one for his team, while another member for the utter team won for them. In the dying minute, where the final goal will determine the winner, Aahil Tafida singlehandedly took his team to glory the minute the ball he kicked entered the net.

The stadium erupted with screams louder than ever, it shook with roars of happiness as people hugged each other, celebrating the victory of Premier City Club. The team members all rushed to embrace each other, even going to the extent of lifting Aahil up out of excitement.

Amina was embraced by Benazir and Ae Ra, before Kimura as they all congratulated each other. Her eyes welled up with tears, which she tried so desperately to hold back. The guys were called up, and congratulated before the cup was handed to them. They held it up together, their pictures taken as they celebrated their victory as well.

The minute the pictures were done, Aahil ignored the voice calling out for him as he rushed to where the ladies were, unbothered by the millions of eyes set on them and the thousands of people recording them.

His steps steadied when he climbed the stairs, before strolling in the direction of his wife. The minute he was within arms-length, he pulled her into his arms, leaning down to place his lips on hers, sealing their forever.

His arms went around her, pulling her impossibly closer to him while she wrapped her arms around him, kissing him back. When he pulled back, he rested his forehead on her, grinning.

"I did it, shortcake." He cajoled. "I won."

She grinned back, tears of happiness streaming down her face. "You did, my love." She met his gaze. "You did." She whispered. "Congratulations."

He pulled her into his warm embrace, while the world rejoiced.

AT04 secured his position and remained the greatest football player out there. And his wife, Amina, who became a renowned writer became his forever shoulder to lean on. Their love story, captured in a novel authored by her and titled 'FROM SEOUL WITH LOVE' left impacts in the lives of many forever.

Because it is, and will continue to be the greatest love story to ever exist.
