two weeks later

Phils POV

"Dan?" I peaked round the living room door and found the room empty. I headed to the kitchen and found it empty as well. I went to head upstairs and tripped suddenly, landing on my face. I turned to find Dan lying in his existential crisis position, his face pressed again the carpet. His eyes were closed but they seem red and swollen. I lay on the floor next to him so my cheek was pressed against the carpet.

"Dan? You ok there buddy?" he sighed heavily. I sat there for a while, just looking at him.

"Do you want me to make you a cup of tea?" he made a mumble in agreement. When I returned with the tea he hadn't moved a muscle.

"Here's your tea. You wanna tell me what's wrong?" he sat up, his back against the radiator.

"I just feel like something is missing in my life. Like I feel empty for some reason." he frowned as he took another sip of his tea. I put my arm around him and he leant his head against mine.

"I'm sorry Dan. I wish I knew what to do." Dan sighed and stood up.

"Don't worry. I'm sure I'll be fine. I'm off for a shower and then I'm headed to bed." he walked off, his shoulders slumped. I headed upstairs to our office, leaving the mugs on the floor. I closed the door as I heard the water running downstairs. I loaded up my computer and skimmed down the names until I eventually found the right person.

Links POV

I clambered onto the sofa, switching the TV. As I went to change the channel, my phone vibrated on the counter. I muted the TV and I picked up my phone. I opened it and a face popped up on the screen.

"Link? Can you see and hear me ok?" I laughed a little.

"I see you fine Phil! How you been? It's been kinda lonely here without you guys!" he grinned. He pushed his glasses up his nose.

"Its Dan. I think he misses having you and Rhett around. He had so much fun when we were with you guys. You guys wouldn't mind maybe taking a trip to the UK? But as a surprise! Dan would be so happy. It would get him out of his crisis." I smiled.

"I think that is a great idea! I would have to talk to Rhett but we would love to come over!" He did a little dance on my phone.

"Do you think you could fly out this week? Like ASAP!" I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Why don't you let me got an talk to Rhett just now and hopefully I will be able to see you guys this week!" he waved and then the screen turned to black. I went into my contacts and clicked on Rhetts number. I pressed my phone to my ear and heard the ringing.

"Hello?" his voice chirruped in my ear.

"Hey Rhett. I have just gotten off skype with Phil and it seems like Dan has gotten a bit depressed since his visit to us. So he was wondering if we wanted to go over to London and surprise Dan with a video?" I crossed my fingers.

"I don't see why not! Seems like such a good idea. Seeing as summer is starting on Friday why don't we stay for a couple of days? I mean I've never had a holiday in Britain before! It'll be fun! You message back Phil and tell him I'm in!" he hung up on me, leaving the dial tone in my ear.

I went onto my phone messages and went to Phils chat.

"Hey Phil! Rhett says yes! We can fly out on Friday! You don't mind if we stay for a couple of days do you?" I waited as the message was being typed

"Don't mind at all! Cant wait to see you both!"
