From Russia With Love: Chapter 6
All of a sudden, another American vampire, this time with blond hair streaked with grey in some places, comes into the train-car and sits on the only empty space in the seats, across from Rebekka. Alyx is still lying on his stomach on the floor of the car when he walks in. The first thing he says is 'Is there someone in need of a one-on-one in here?' Rebekka raises her hand meekly.
'It's me, sir' she manages to squeak before lowering her hand, which I now hold lovingly in my own. The blond man squats so his at Bekkie's eye level and says 'Hello; I am Cyrus Harris. I am a doctor, and I am glad to help you with anything you may need. It has occurred to me that you need help overcoming the fears from your past; is that correct, Rebekka?'
She nods, and he continues asking her questions; topics like her past employment, her past relationships, her current one (which I know she didn't sugar-coat) and her feelings about living under the same roof as 8 boys. 'I don't mind it; in fact, I like it. Despite there being nearly twice as many boys than women, there is still so much diversity. I believe you said it so yourself; you had told me that you have six sons and one daughter. How did she deal with that as a child?'
'She was, of course, the site of much teasing and finger-pointing, but she took all of it in with open arms. Maria wasn't much of a let-down to the boys, either; they dog-piled and pranked her more times than I can count on all of my fingers and toes.'
'I see; I have 2 brothers, or at least I did, until I was changed and became a freshie in 1898. That's also around the same time that I met Frederik.' I squeeze the hand I am holding and she sighs. 'I found you behind trash cans; didn't I, darling?' She nods in agreement and rests her head on my neck. 'Thank you for saving me Frederik; have I said it too often?' I shake my head and whisper in her perfect ear 'No, my darling; you may say it as often as you like. It makes me feel good to know that I am appreciated by someone.'
'I know, my love. I appreciate everything you do for me, and it's a pleasure being your mate, especially for the length of time we've been a couple.'

Alright, so now I am going to do something I haven't done in any of my books, and switch from FIRST PERSON to THIRD PERSON POV. I just wanna shake things up a bit.

As Frederik and Rebekka talk, Cyrus jots down everything that is being said. While Rebekka speaks he notices how insecure she feels when asked about her employer, Mr. Karlov. She tells Cyrus that he was mean man, to which Frederik adds that he 'should be rotting in Hell and paying for all he's done to dear Bekkie.' Frederik knows just what to say to make her feel safe, whether at home or on the go.
Frederik caresses her cheek and kisses it; that makes Rebekka feel loved. Cyrus clicks his pen a few times and asks 'Is there anything else I should know?' Rebekka shakes her head and says 'No; not that I can think of right now...'
Again, Frederik caresses her cheek, this time adding in that he loves her. Rebekka blushes and whispers something unintelligible. Frederik looks at her and asks her what she said; she tells him that she will reveal it later.
Frederik smiles and nods, knowing that, whatever Rebekka had said, it wouldn't be something spiteful; her conscience is too pure for that. Rebekka sees him staring into space and asks 'Are you looking at her; is she more beautiful than me? Is that how you choose to torment me?'
Frederik tries to calm her; this is the first time she has ever fought with or yelled at him in the years and years that they've been together. 'Bekkie...' he says in a soothing voice, 'I didn't stare at her; I was paying attention to Cyrus, and then I suddenly noticed her standing in the doorway-'
Before he can finish his sentence, she snaps 'I'm going to the dinner car, and you aren't coming with me! I hope you rot in the very lowest circle of Hell, Frederik Sokolov!'
'If you wish it so, then it can and will happen, Rebekka Smirnov!'
...................................................................
That's where I'm ending the chapter; the next one will take place the next morning, and will once again be in Frederik's perspective - first person.
