Sometimes
Sometimes...
My midnight sky asks my morning star-
"Why d'you let Twilight disrupt our union?"
He smiles his lucent warmth and replies-
"You're too bleak for me to scintillate,
For those who wish to flouresce do not settle for flickers."
Sometimes...
My forlorn Demon asks my congenial Angel-
"Why don't you let me be your night pilot?"
She flutters her suave pinions and replies-
"Your wings are too hefty for a flight,
For those who wish to soar do not settle for fleeting strides."
Sometimes...
My frozen heartbeats ask my fervent impulses-
"Why don't we bridge our throbs into an oceanic euphony?"
They skip their racing track and reply-
"Your melodies are too dissonant to sway,
For those whose anthems are their dreams do not settle for lullabies."
Sometimes...
My exhibited smile asks my inhibited tears-
"Why don't you let your pearls glint in the daylight?"
They open their lid barrages up and reply-
"Your radiance is enough to outshine them,
For those whose doors are alum coated do not settle for ruptured windows."
Sometimes...
My inearthed corpse asks my earthly soul-
"Why d'you wreathe my iglooed castle with scornful bullets?"
She fires her winning shot and replies-
"Your cemetery is my confinement,
For those who wish to rise with flames do not settle for concrete graves."

A/N : This was my first attempt at writing a free verse (and trust me it was pretty difficult for me to control my urge to rhyme! XD).
I've tried my hand at, if not new, but a different style of poetry, other than couplet poems, which this book is overloaded with. I hope y'all like it! :)
