Rayanne

I trudge out of bed and make my way to the shower. 

As I change my mind wanders back to last night's events. How can I speak to Alex today? I groan and go downstairs. I see Brandon texting someone. He hardly ever texts. "Who you texting?" I ask with a smirk. I sit down on the stool next to him. "No one." He says. He moves the phone away so I can't see who it is. 

"Girl or guy?" I am not going to let this pass. This is priceless. "Does it matter?" He mumbles. He switches off his phone and puts it on the bench. "Yes it does." I say. I stand up and quickly snatch his phone. I run upstairs and lock my door behind me. "Open the door Rayanne." I switch on his phone. It has no passcode. What's wrong with him?

I go to his messaging and the name on the top is one I never would have thought would be on his phone. "Why were you texting her?" I ask suspiciously.

"Because I can." He retorts. He starts hitting the door. I tap the conversation and I scroll upwards.

I screenshot it and send it to my phone. I put on a smile before opening the door. I chuck the phone at him. He looks angry but I already run downstairs before he says anything. I quickly start my bike and drive to school.

I walk up to Anna and Maya when I reach school. "Hey what happened? After Yoou and Alex went back inside you guys didn't come out." I mentally slap myself. "Didn't Taylor tell you guys?" They shake their heads and I sigh. "Well ask him. It was his job to tell you." I simply say.

We walk inside to our lockers, Anna and Maya exchange a look. "We were wondering something..." Maya trails off. I raise my eyebrow and they continue. "Which one will you choose? They are both awesome people but in the end are you going to choose Taylor or Alex?" I groan and slam my locker door shut.

"It isn't that easy." I reply angrily. "Its not like choosing which doll to buy, because if you don't like the one you got you can just return it and choose the other. Whereas in this situation if I choose one but it doesn't feel right, I can't just jump to the other. It just messes everything up for everyone!" I exclaim in one breath. I exhale heavily and look at them.

"Hate to break it to you, but, you better choose. The both of them have become miserable waiting. You should just choose one. Just to break the tension." Maya says. "I want you to answer truthfully. If you were me, who would you choose?" I ask.

"Alex." They say in unison. "Why?" Its weird that they would both choose Alex. Is there something wrong about Taylor. "Well, when you think about Alex, he has never dated anyone because he wanted you. On the other hand, Taylor went out with heaps of people to get his mind off you. If it were me I would rather choose someone that has liked me for ages and was waiting, not someone who's a player just to forget me." Anna says. 

That's true, but Taylor hasn't been a player in ages. I guess that they're reasonable points. I can definetely see why they would choose Alex over Taylor. "Hello? Is Rayanne available or should we come back later?" I snap out of my thoughts and walk with them. "This is such a hard decision. Its like I'm choosinf the destiny of my future." I groan. "No one said it was easy. But don't change your mind about Taylor because of us." Maya says. The bell goes and we go to our different classrooms. 

I see Alex and I quickly divert my gaze to the floor. I sit down in a row in front of him and I can already feel him staring at me. I should have sat next to the window. That's where I used to sit. I push my chair back to change seats when the teacher comes in. I sit properly cursing to myself for sitting here.

I feel someone kick my chair and I sigh. I turn to Alex with a bored expression and he has a worried look on his face. Are you okay? He mouths. I nod and turn back around. Luckily the teacher is just giving us a lecture about world heritage sites and what people do to harm them. 

When the bell rings I pack my things up slowly, not really wanting to go to history. I seriously don't want to deal with Katie today. A thought comes to me, what is she's going to be nice again? 

Yeah, probably not a very high chance of that happening twice. 

When I exit the classroom I see Alex there waiting for me. "Rayanne? Is something wrong? Do I have anything to do with it?" He asks in a concerned voice. He has no idea how much it has to do with him but I shake my head not wanting him to worry anymore about me. "Oh, I forgot that i'm not in this class with you. Bye." I wave to him as he turns at the corner. I enter the classroom and sit next to Katie. "I started writing a few drafts of the diary entries. Do you want to see?" I nod and my eyebrows knit together. 

I seriously never remember Katie being this diligent. Then again, I really never wanted to remember anything about Katie. She places a few pages of paper with her handwriting scribbled all over it. I read over them and realise how much I underestimated her. "This is really good. Since you did the first seven I can do the rest, okay?" I ask. I see no reason the change it so I pass it back to her. "Nothing needs to be changed?" She asks, I shake my head and take my laptop from my bag. I open the presentation I started on and show it to her. "I started this. Is it okay for you so far?" I ask. 

We continue working on the project until ther end of the lesson. "Do you want to come over to my place to finish this off?" I ask as we exit the class. "Sure. Pass your phone over." We exchange our numberer and I place my address into her  notes. "The address is in your notes so you can come over after school whenever you want." I say. She nods and then I head to our usual table outside. 

The only person there is Kylie. "How do you like it in Harrowfield so far?"  "Its awesome." She replies with a smile. 

"So, what's up with you and Alex?" She asks. I groan. "Would people stop asking me that." I place my head on the table and sigh. "I have been here for what two days? I can already see the connection between you two. I bet everyone can." I turn my head to face her. "Do you really think everyone can?" 

She nods and eats a sandwich. "How about that Taylor guy?" She says. "Please, just stop talking The world would be a much better place if you would just shut up." I suggest. She laughs and mockingly zips her lips. She 'locks' it with a 'key' and hands it to me. "Really?" I ask. She shurgs so I play along. I pretend eat the key and stick my tongue out. "Now you shall never talk again." 

She glares at me and goes to eat her sandwich. '"Your lips are sealed, you can't eat." She gives me a death glare and I am grateful that looks can't kill. If they were, well.....

I grab her sandwich and place it in her bag. 

I eat and mockingly indulge it. "Do you want to eat as well?" I ask in a kind voice. She nods and I laugh. I click my fingers and turn to her. "Now you can eat." I say before taking a bite out of my own sandwich. 

''You are evil." She states before digging into her bag for her beloved sandwich.

Taylor soon joins us and he nods his head to Kylie. "What's up with her?" I smile and look at Kylie innocently. She sticks up the three middle fingers, "Read between the lines." She mumbles. I laugh and turn back to Taylor. "I just had a little fun with her." I say. 

He looks confused and stands up. He gestures for me to follow so I do. 

"Can, I ask you something?" I nod and await the question.

I am planning to do a quartet....So that means 4 books in a series. First one is this, second is about Reigan, third is about Rayanne and who she will choose in her final year at school, and the last one is a surprise....I hope to finish all 4 of these books by the end of 2015 so yeah...
