God loves us.

I was going back and forth and I didn't really know what to type about, but now as a think about it, I feel that everyone could use some hope in times like these. With the terror attacks and such, people need to know that God loves them.

Now I know I've touched this before, but we have such an amazing privilege to know about the Good News. To know that there is a God, and that this God saves and changes lives...WOW, it's amazing. We have been given a gift that we do not deserve...like at all. Who deserves this kind of thing? Because if we believe this full heartedly, then God is so great, why we loves us is unfathomable. And now that we know this, and have grasped this, let's pursue it!

To pursue means to also have faith. In troubled times, when we cry out to God "we shouldn't cry out in fear, but we should cry out in faith!"* Faith that God loves us and has a plan (Jer. 29:11), and faith that He is never slack concerning his promises (2 Peter 3:9). God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He does not change, and He will always be in control.

So when the world around you is failing, breathe deep, and look to the One who will never change, let His faithfulness give you peace.

He is in control
