Welp. A lot of talk has been going around about Mr. Steven Stamkos and where he'll end up. Will he go to Buffalo or Toronto or stay in Tampa? Or will he go to Boston or Detroit or New York? 

Personally I think the Tampa is better off without him. It is my firm belief that he's not necessary to the Bolts roster and that the team should focus on keeping Kuch and the core together, before worrying about keeping Stammer. 

Yes, I know he's good for the power play, which is something the Bolts need help with. BUT I also think that is something that can be fixed and addressed. If we can breed a new kind of power play that doesn't involve Stammer, we should be fine. And even with Stammer, our power play wasn't off the charts good. 

As for where I think he'll end up, I'm seeing Detroit or Toronto. 

Let's look at the different destinations and let me explain why I don't think he'll agree to go there or he will:

1. Toronto - The Maple Leafs are one of the most talked about places for him to go to. This is his hometown and the money is going to be good, BUT the one MAJOR problem here is that Toronto is a LONG ways away from the playoffs and being a Cup contender. Even if he decides to go here, he'll need help and he'll need to beat the strong-core-based Tampa team

2. Tampa - The safest bet is just to stay put, but I mean little money and lots of key players to keep and resign over the coming years....I don't see this working out in the long run. Staying in Tampa is unfortunately out for me. 

3. Detroit - Another popular option with Toronto. This place is close to his hometown and he'll get money, plus the Wings are still somewhat good and adding Stammer here to the roster will fill the Datsyuk-sized hole. BUT can a Stammer-led Wings team still beat a Stammer-less Tampa team in the playoffs? Well...only if Bettman wants it to happen, you know. 

4. Buffalo - Another of the options. He'll get the good money, BUT this team is shit. Evander Kane is getting in trouble with the law and the team just isn't good. Granted they are trying, but it's not good enough and I'm not sure if Stammer likes to "wait" per-se...

5. Boston - Don't see this one happening, though it's a good, serious Cup contender team...but um, show me the money and cap space?

6. New York Rangers - Not gonna happen because of the cost of living in the city and there's no real cap room and I just don't see this one working out...not to mention the Cup contention part with little talent on the roster.

7. New York Islanders - Hey look Tavs and Stammer were best friends! Yeah, that's about all that would be a serious perk for Stammer. This one's not working out. Sorry Tavs, maybe Subban????

8. Vancouver - Nope. Vancouver's got cap hell.

9. Montreal - Nope. Stammer said Montreal's out. Plus he looks gross in the toliet seat jersey and...he doesn't cheat, so he won't fit it. Not to mention, they just got Shaw from Chicago...so...

There's probably a slew of other teams interested, but these are the main one's I've seen, with a few others popping in and out because of the cap space and "oh never mind"...
