Chapiter 6

<Asara>

By the time the day was done, I had about 20 elk. Not bad for half a day's hunting. I got home right in time with my kills in a makeshift sling to see Yato and Gaten enter Tere's cave.

I swoop in unnoticed.

"When is Asara coming back?" Yato asks.

"Soon I hope." Says Tere.

"Dinner is served!" I say making everyone jump. I crack up. Yato looks embaraced and a little annoied. Oh well.

"How many did you get?" Gaten asks.

"I was able to hunt down 20 fat elks before humans got to the herd." I say with pride.

Yato stares at me.

"How did you find a herd of more than 20 elks?" Gaten asks.

"Very simply. The elk males have taught me how to avoid preadeters. So I knew their habits. I only took the sick or very injered so the herd is now stronger." I explain.

Tere looks shocked. "The elk males taught a dragon thier secrets. How did you even understan them?!"

Wait dragons arn't supposed to understand other animals? The confusion I was feeling must have shown on my face because Tere sayed "Nevermined, it doesn't matter. Come, you must choose your new cave you are almost ready to meet the bigger population of dragons in Haletia." Yato must have assumed that he would be coming as well. I guess he might come, after all he is helping to train me in the ways of the dragon court.

"Am I coming?" I hear Yato ask Gaten. I don't hear his response because Tere had already rushed me out of his cave.

I shivered. It had gotten colder. Winter was coming.

Great. Note the sarcasem.

"Asara follow me."Tere sayed.

I had no choice but to obey. Tere weeled to a cave higher than even his. It was smaller than his like temporary quarters. But it was perfect for me.

<Yato>

After Asara and Issorr-Tere left my father sayed "Yato why do you want to go to the capital with Asara and her teacher?"

Come to think about it I don't know. And I say so. "It just feels right. I feel like I must go."

"Fine," my father stated "go to your cave, I think that we will go tomorow."

I nod and leap out of the cave in time to see Asara weel up after Issorr-Tere tward the top most caves. Wierd, but not my problem.

I weel down to the caves that are for the dragons like me who don't have a Mate and need a place to stay because I have a job and am too old for my parent's cave. I had grown out of his cave after Asara had joined us.

<Gaten>

As soon as my son left Tere's cave I heave a sigh. My boy was growing up. Neither of the young ones had realised it but they were in love. I think maybe even Mates. And if Asara is who I think she is Yato will have to grow up. Fast.

<Asara>

The next day I woke up in my new cave, Tere bloking the entry. He was wide awake.

I streched and yawned.

"What's up?" I ask.

"The king has requested my presence at his court and where the teacher goes, the student goes." I groan.

I had just gotten comfortable during the last few months of living in Mt. Territory.

Tere gives a slight smile. I gape at him. He was as stingy as showing emotions as me, more actualy. And I had made him smile. He seemed to realise why I was gaping and stoped smiling. But I had made him show emotion.

"I came here to tell you we leave at high-sun. Get ready to go to Haletia Asara. Be prepaired to meet your family." He muttered the last part. I don't think he knows that I have very sensitive ears and heard him.

A few hours later I went into Tere's cave. Yato was thier but not his father.

"Asara, Yato is coming with us."

Great.

"Perfect!"I say.

"Why did you say perfect?" Yato asks suspiciously. I do an evil chuckle. Yato scooted closer to Tere. Tere just puched him away as if saying. She is your problem to deal with not mine . After all Tere didn't insult me the way Yato did.

"And it is High-sun. Time to go." If there is one thing that I learned living with Tere these last few months it is that he is very punctual. And that to keep up with him and not bring his anger down on me I had to very punctual. We jumped out of Tere's cave and weeled up twards my cave. When we got there I dove in and came back out almost imideatly. I saw Yato gape at me.

"What?" I ask him. What he dosn't know is that I had almost forgotten my amulet that I had had since as long as I can remember. It looked like a feathered dragon was traped in it.

It was now around my neck. I had learned that it would grow and shink with me. so that it never broke. Yato just turns and flys a little slower so that he is behind me. I snort and think Well fine. If you want to play This game., Be prepaired to lose to a bitch. And fly so that I am even with Tere for the remainder of the trip.

That night I lay awake untill Yato had fallen asleep them got some river muck out of the river I had spoted on our way to the city. We wern't their yet but he didn't need to be very clean to fly. I quietly flew back with the muck and spread it all over him. After my prank was finneshed I went back to sleep.

The next morning I was woken not by Tere but by Yato's roaring.

"What the hell happened to my scales! Their brown!" He glairs at me and I give him an innocent look. He huffs. We both know that he can't get me into troble with Tere for this prank without proof. And we both know that I had done it.

"Maybe you should go swim in the river to clean all of that brown off." I practialy purr to him. He steps back one step. Big mistake. It showed me that I had won. And then it hit him that he had just done the wrong thing. I grin evily at him. He just goes to the pond we were sleeping by and swims. I go over to the streem that he refused to swim in to get a drink. and hear a yelp. My plan had worked perfictaly. I knew that the pond was full of lizards.

I run as if conserned about him. "I told you to swim in the river." I say inocently.

"Alright, no more pranks for the morning." Tere sayed. But he sayed Morning. I saw the twinkle in his eye and knew that He saw the loop as well. and probaly did it on perpous.

"What pranks?" I ask. Tere just snorts and shoves into the air.

Yato, now red again, and I follow him.

Five days later, Yato being pranked all of the way, we reached the city. It was in the Himalayas, and was bueatifull. Dragons were everywere. Yato openly gaped, but I kept my emotions in check. I didn't like showing them.

Tere went to the biggest cave that I saw. Yato and I followed him as usual.

"Ah Hatee, how many for a cave?" A blue dragon asked. "Three." Tere ansered the dragon. He nods and leads us to a big cave in a complexs of caves. fortunataly I could remember the way back. Yato looked lost though.

I kinda felt sorry for him. Oh well. Dam, i'm a bitch. "Tere is their a lake that I can swim in that doesn't have anything that can hurt me?" Or Yato. I think to myself. He had had enuf pain for this month via pranks.

"No time we had to get the room first but the king wants to see me as soon as possable and I don't want you two running around with out me." He glairs at me.

"What'd I do?" I ask

"I haven't known you for verry long but I know you will start to run around unless not told to not run around imideataly." I sigh.

"Oh, and no pranks at all. No fighing in this room. OK?" He says

"Then were can we spar?" This time Yato spoke. "I almost had her the last time."

"Ya right! I let you get that close!"

"Shure."

I look at Tere pleadlingly "Please let my beat him up." I say. Yato snorts.

"Fine but only go to the practice grounds and back to this room. Your meals will come to this room during meals. OK?" We nod.

Tere leads us to the practice grounds then leaves us their.

"Teeth baired, talons ready, FIGHT!" I say and lunge at Yato. He yelps and doges me, barly. he goes for my tail and before we know it we are locked in combat using each others weaknesses agenst eachother. He and I have become a blur if humans were watching. Testing, looking for a small chink in the armor. I push up into the air and he follows stupidly. I hadn't shown him what I could do to him in the air. Here I had full use of all of my body.

Then The battle truly began and it was the best battle ever. I didn't use any of my newfound spetial abilitys but I was stilll whiping him. At the end I had him pined on the ground front claws on his throught back claws on his belly and tail spike over his eyes. We were both breathing hevaly.

"I win." I say to Yato. He smiles not suprised.

"Wow." I hear someone say. I whip around and let Yato up. He jumps up and puts his back to mine like we do when Tere and Gaten fight us.

A small pink dragon with horns, and back spikes the color of dandaliens and green claw and teeth.

"Wow." she says again. That is when I realise that she isn't the only one staring at us. The entier courtyard is staring at us. speachless.

"What?!" Yato and I say at the same time.

"Nothing."

"Were did you learn to fight like that?"

"I could barly keep up, how did you two do it?"

"Who are you?"

We were bombarded with questions that we could't anser

Then thankfully we hear Tere call us. "Asara, Yato. That was the best fight I had seen since you tow became my students." Wow praise from Tere? Yato looks at me and I at him. He looks suprised. I guess I do to.

<Yato>

Asara Looked suprised when we got so manny compliments. (I don't know why, she deserves them.) But I was also suprised as to how she looked.

Her body was covered with blood so that her scales looked a deep crimson, her claws looked like they were battle worn, I knew from exspirence that they wouldn't look that way after she had cleaned up and sleped for a wile, but she looked like she could be my sister, if only a half sister. But her green eyes were full of fire and ice unlike my red eyes.

"Come on follow me." Tere sayed to us.

"Wate Issorr-Tere, these young dragons are your students?!" the pink dragon asked in suprise. Tere just nods. And leaves. We have to follow him of course.

As soon as we got to the cave that we shared Tere whips around and closes the door.

"Good job, you two made her look like a sister. But that was an acsendent wasn't it?" Tere asks. We nod in agreement.

"Good. I have visited the king. He wants to meet you two. Asara do you want too keep looking like that or do you want too look like yourself?" he asks Asara. I look over at the dragon that could be my half-sister. I like her that way. Then all of her pranks make sence. espetualy since i'm older than her.

"I'll stay like this unless you object." she says. Tere shakes his head, and opens the door again. Outside we find about five dragons watiing for the door to open.

"Dam it all." Tere mutters. fortunataly we had made it look like we had been patched up in the time that we spent in the cave.

"Issorr-Tere, can we see your students fight? The others say that they were almost impossable to track." One of the dragons ask.

Tere looks at us then at the dragon and says "I'm sorry, but the king wants to see them as well."

I hear mutters of dissapointment in the croud as we leave the complex.

Onyx: I'm bbbbaaaaaaacccccckkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!! My resolve to finish this book( or at least continue it) has returned! A little dance competition away from home with no wifi does wonders!
Day: Translated: I have no books, no fanfiction, no yaoi, no wifi, no games, and a sadistic Night after my blood. I missed you guys!
Onyx: DAY! I DID NOT SAY THAT!!!! *blushing*
