"EDEN!"

Daeho pushed past Myunggi who looked up with guilt, his eyes softening.

"Eden? Why did you say Eden?" He asked Daeho whose eyes desperately looked for the girl's. He spun around and grabbed Myunggi by the collar as he slammed him against the wall with full force.

"It's your fault!" He shouted to his face, shaking with rage, "what did you do?" He asked with a much harder grip.

"I—" Myunggi looked at him with guilt, his eyes tearing. "I didn't know it was her...I—I thought I was doing the right thing, but Eden—" he stuttered, letting Daeho push him over and over again. "I thought she was here already!"

Daeho let go of him and spun around to meet the door, slamming his fist against it, breaking into sins as he fell to his knees. The others stayed quiet, Jun-hee covering her mouth to keep herself from crying.

Hyun-ju held Young-mi's hand when she saw her shed a tear, "I'm sorry, Daeho...I slowed her down, it's...it's my fault." She told him.

Daeho paused, holding his breath as he stood up. He shook his head at her and wiped his tears, "no...it's—it's okay," he paused, turning to Myunggi with teary eyes. "Man, I..." he choked into tears, making him grab him and let Daeho fall into his short statue to comfort him.

Myunggi closed his eyes, trying not to shed a tear. He didn't know it was Eden, he thought she was already inside, if he knew she was inside, he would've let her go in instead of her, he would've let her live instead of her.

"Daeho..." he started with a small whisper, "If I had known it was her I'd— I wouldn't have done what I did, I'm sorry." He apologized, "I wouldn't have done that, I care for her, I swear. You have to believe me." He begged. Daeho cried on his shoulder, making the others' eyes soften.

Player 007 let go of his mother, stepping forward the the pair and patted his hands on both boy's shoulders, "maybe she's still alive." He said with hope.

Both turned to him, "did you see her?" Player 007 asked, making Daeho shake his head. "Then she could've found a room, maybe someone got to her in the last second." He raised his eyebrows with a small hint of hope.

The man in the bun looked back to the open space, his eyes roaming around the room to see if he could see the brunette. When he didn't, he sighed and looked back to the others.

"She better be."

"Ten seconds remaining."

Eden grabbed Young-mi and ruffly yanked her up to her feet. "Come on, young-mi!" She shouted, quickly shoving her into the room with the others.

Before she could enter, not noticing who it was, Myunggi shut the door close, leaving Eden outside.

"EDEN!"

Eden's body froze, her heart pounding as she watched the door lock in front of her. Hearing the cries of Daeho, instead of crying, she looked back for one last time at the room she was supposed to go in and sprinted the other way, in hope of finding a team.

"Five seconds remaining."

The room suddenly felt like it was closing on her, like every door had been shut, she saw the guards in front of her pulled up their guns to start shutting as soon as the timer beeped, and as if she felt like she was being shot at, a pair of hands yanked her into a room, the door slamming shut behind her just when the timer beeped.

The person that had pulled her in and her fell to the ground, grunting as Eden fell on top of that person. She opened her eyes and saw the purple haired guy under her with a smug, causing her to stumble back and stand up.

"Thanos?"

He rested on his back and exhaled happily, "the one and only, baby." He responded with a raise of eyebrows.

Eden's eyes found the rest of the people in the room and smiled awkwardly, "I feel like thank you would be a bit of a stretch since in a way—I saved you." She shrugged with an awkward laugh.

"Hold on, you're not saying thank you?" Thanos scoffed, "I risked my life for you." He pointed to the door.

The girl scoffed back, "you would've died without me if you didn't get me." She scolded.

"Woah—"

From beside her, Nam-gyu was about to open his mouth but both Thanos and Eden glared, making him nod with his lips.

"Eden, bangs," the girl scrunched her face at the nickname. "a simple thank you would satisfy me." He smirked down to her, making Eden snort.

"Good thing I'm not here to do that." She then hit him on the shoulder, making him hold it in pain. "And for the last time, don't call me bangs!" She shouted angrily.

Everyone in the room flinched at the sound of her voice, backing up.

"Feisty one, aren't you?" Thanos chuckled.

"Kill yourself." She muttered under her breath then gave him a smile when she saw him furrow his eyebrows.

"Huh?"

Eden rolled her eyes at him then turned to face the door, hitting herself with it. "Oh, dear love of God. Please get me the fuck out of here." She mumbled under her breath as she closed her eyes.

Daeho pushed the door open and walked as fast as he could to look for Eden, his only worry was her. At this point, he couldn't care less of all the people that were eliminated, he was just worried it wasn't her that got eliminated. His face grew pale as he didn't notice the short girl with bangs in the room, his chest tightened as he saw everyone walk out in relief.

Where the hell was she?

He held his head in desperation, trying to shove the bad thoughts out of his head, she couldn't be dead, she just couldn't. He dug his nails into his palms, his vision suddenly blurring from his teary eyes.

It should've been me.

He thought, and for one second, he was glad it wasn't. Because the second he wiped his tears, he met with the most beautiful girl in the world, he saw her looking around with a worrying look and saddened eyes. He let out a sigh and reached for her.

As soon as the door freaked open, Eden ignored the people in the room —especially Thanos— and rushed to the room she was supposed to go in with the others, when she saw no one was there, her smile dropped, her eyes roaming around the room in hope to see someone.

"Eden?"

She spun around and met with Daeho whose eyes began to water, he ran towards her and threw his arms around her with a tight grip.

"I thought I'd lost you," he mumbled on her neck. "I'm so sorry." He choked out on her shoulder, his voice shakier than usual.

Eden's eyes teared up as she looked at Myunggi who was looking at her with guilt. She realized he was the one who closed the door on her, she blinked away her thoughts and pulled away from Daeho, placing her hands on his arms.

"You said we'd see each other in a bit, didn't we?" She mentioned their saying, making him chuckle and nod. "I guess I'm better at this game than I thought I was."

He wiped the years and smiled, "yeah, you are." He paused for a moment and sighed, "I'm so glad you are." He breathed out.

He took a step forward and wrapped his arms around her for a second time, closing the gap between them. "I can't believe you're alive—" he paused, looking down at her. "—I thought you.. I thought you—"

Eden's smile faded at his words, shaking her head. "I know, Dae. I know." She whispered, "but I'm okay now, we're okay." She added in reassurance.

He pulled away this time, but in need to touch her, his hands went up to her face carelessly, wiping the sweat off of her face. Looking up, Eden felt a sudden sense of comfort in his touch, her tensed body relaxing as he touched her, she grabbed his hand and held it in hers.

All of a sudden, a group of people stole her from Daeho as they all hugged her.

"We thought we lost you, woman!" One of them yelled, Eden laughing as she recognized it was player 149's son.

They all hugged for one second, the o my peros  being left behind, Myunggi. Who thought he didn't deserve to be there. His gaze looked down in guilt, wondering if Eden would talk to him eventually.

"Myunggi."

He looked up and saw Eden looking at him with a sincere smile, she motioned towards her and the others, "come here." She mumbled.

With hesitation, Myunggi stepped forward and carefully wrapped his arms around his friend and Daeho, his body relaxing as he felt the touch of the friend he betrayed.

"I'm sorry." He breathed out so only Eden could hear.

"It's okay." She whispered, "I'm glad you're okay."

Myunggi let himself smile, "I'm glad you're okay too."

Martina speaks: You thought she was dead? HA (we all knew she wasn't) Had to add Thanos in this bc I'm so attracted to him it hurts me that he's a dick 😩😩 anywho, you'll hate next chapter but it's whatevs. For the plot🤪👉🏻👈🏻 yuhuu #lol #yolo
