When Mark heard what Alex and Addison had done he was angry, furious in-fact. Astrid was his little sister, he promised to protect her and that's what he's always tried to do. Mark was the best Big brother and uncle Astrid could wish for.

Astrid's POV

I headed to the main entrance of the hospital and headed outside, I needed some air while I waited for Lexie and Mark, I sent Lexie a text to tell her where I was going to be when she finds Mark, I sat on a bench and just stared off into space, I shuddered as I replayed what I saw, I didn't want to yet it all replayed in my head, over and over. Alex on top of Addison, my boyfriend and best friend.

"Ash' Lexie told me what happened. Come here" Mark said pulling me from my thoughts, immediately I threw myself into his arms as once again tears began trickling down my cheeks.

"How could they mark, Addi was like a sister to me, she should know how it feels when someone cheats and she went and did it to me!" I cried into Marks chest, mark rubbed my back gently,

"Shh, it's okay. I've got you" mark soothed me as he gently rubbed my back.

"Mark, I don't know what to do, the baby, how am I meant to take care of a baby and Echo on my own. I can't do it" I said with my arms still around mark, I felt safe in his arms. I was trying so hard not to cry more, I felt as if I had been crying so much that I could throw up at any second, my chest felt tight and I couldn't focus on anything apart from one thing, my hand. I had been so distracted by Alex and Addison and the whole situation that my hand seemed to be the least of my worries.

"You have me, Derek, Meredith. You also have Emma, Jade and Adam; you don't need Alex, you did had Echo without him and you can have this baby without him because you are stronger than anyone I know; you have brought up a 2 year old who is just as strong as her mommy and that baby is definitely going to be the same" Mark reassured me as he pulled away from me.

"What if I can't do it? I already still struggling with Echo but two under three year olds will be so much harder." I sighed

"You can and I'm going to help you through it all. I promice Ash' I always keep my promises to you" Mark said kissing my forehead and I formed a small smile only my face

"I love you Mark" I said softly.

"I love you too Astrid, I love you, Echo and my future niece or nephew" mark said softly and I smiled, mark was always their when I needed him.

"Big Brother to the rescue" I said which made mark laugh a little. He was always to the rescue when I needed him and right now, I needed my big brother more than ever.

"Mark, would you mind picking Echo up today? I know I wouldn't normally ask but her daycare teacher usually try's to start a conversation and I just can't be doing with that today?" I asked Mark as he sat be down on the bench I was sat on before he came out, he sat down beside me and wrapped his arm around me to pull me into his side.

"I will, I'll even have Echo for the night if you want, you could stay in my hotel room for the night. If you need a night by yourself?" Mark offered, I did like the sound of that, after the day I've had I did need some time to myself, I loved Echo but tonight I just wanted to be alone

"Would you really do that?" I asked my brother who smiled.

"Of course I would" mark reassured me and I smiled.

"Would you bring her here first, before the end of shift, just so I can give her a hug and see her before you take her home? Please" I asked mark who smiled.

"You know I will." Mark smiled and kissed my forehead once again. I didn't know where I would be if Mark wasn't by my side or even in my life but I did know one thing.

I knew that that I wouldn't cope without my big brother

Third Person

Emma hadn't seen Astrid since that morning, after she was looking for Alex but she had heard from Jade what had happened, both Jade and Emma were angry. During lunch the two women approached Alex.

"You complete ass!" Jade said and without thinking punched Alex, she was sticking up for her best friend, as Jade punched Alex, Derek shepherd entered, he was confused as to what was going on but when he saw Alex was the one Jade had punched he suddenly realised that it had to be something to do with Astrid, he hadn't seen her since that morning before her scan and that was not normal, he's normally see her around the hospital even if it was just once before mid-day and he hadn't.

"Jade, what's that about?" Derek asked as both Emma and Jade turned around

"Alex has cheated on Astrid, with your ex! All while she was at her appointment this morning" Jade said, Derek who was beyond angry and without even thinking he punched Alex who fell to the floor; two punches from two different people had now caused Alex to be in abit of pain, Astrid was like a little sister to him, he was probably just as protective over Astrid as Mark was.

"You and Addison! You both are out of order" Derek shook his head still angry

"You do know that Ash' could have lost the baby today!! She needed you at the scan but you were too busy canoodling with Addison! You do know how much Ash loved you. You broke her heart once and she forgave you" Emma paused as she glared at Alex.

"she forgave you and you went and slept with Addison, the one woman who was like a older sister to her." Emma finished off while Jade waited for Alex to say something in return.

"It's not what it sounds like. Astrid wasn't meant to find out!" Alex said

"For fuck sake Alex! You need to get your head out of your own ass! Try thinking how Ash' is feeling. She trusted you but you broke that trust" Jade practically shouted causing the whole of the canteen to turn and look at the commotion

"What do you expect, me to propose! I can't do that just becuase she's pregnant with my baby!" Yelled Alex.

"No Alex but I did think better of you! I thought you'd at least have more respect and stick by Astrid's side. Your both going to be parents, the baby will need it's mom and dad to be able to work together" Jade resorted closing her arms just as Meredith Grey entered the canteen, the couple were both confused as to why Jade was shouting at Alex.

"What's going on?" Meredith asked as they went over.

"Ask him" both Jade and Emma said simultaneously, it was if it was planned, Derek hasn't said anything as the girls shouted

"What the hell have you done!" Meredith asked

"It doesn't matter" Alex said which caused everyone to scoff.

"He's cheated on Astrid" Derek said and Meredith shook her head.

"I should have guessed, when she punched a locker and said he never showed up to the appointment earlier" Meredith said. Alex was going to talk to Astrid later in the day, before she left but he decided it was best to leave it for the time being.

"Everyone is making it out to be way bigger than it was" Alex lied knowing it wasn't; it had happened a few times but Astrid wasn't meant to find out, he wasn't going to tell her because he loved her and she didn't need to know

"Whatever Karev! Just say away from Ash' she doesn't need any more stress. I think you've given enough of that to her today" Jade sighed but Alex had to see Astrid, he had to apologise, he had to try and make it up to her, if not for his sake but but for the sake of their unborn baby.
