Midnight by sarcasmarianne

It was almost midnight when Lily decided that she really needed to get home. Her boyfriend stopped her from leaving, asking her where she was going. She told him that she needed to get home before her curfew.

"Lily, you can't. We all can't." Lily frowned, confused.

"At exactly 12 am on the 31st of October, a fire started, burning this house down. With all of us in it." Lily looked at him like he was crazy.

"Just wait. You'll see." He whispered with a sad smile, looking down at his watch.

It was then that the clock struck midnight.
