I've decided if I'm going to win Noriko over I'm going to have to improve my grades.

I'm at the library right now, checking out a couple history books when I bump into Mikasa.

The books fly everywhere, spreading all over the tile floor.

Mikasa looks up at me from where she fell on the ground.

I quickly help her up.

She smiles at me, surprising me.

"Hey, Kouta. " she says and helps me pick up my books and hands them to me.

I smile.

"It's been a while, hasn't it? " she says.

I nod.

"Me and Noriko are friends again by the way. " she says.

"When? " I ask.

"A week ago. I realised that letting a boy come between friendship is just plain stupid. " she said.

"I'm glad. " I said.

She tucks a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Well, see you later. " she says.

"See ya. " I say.

Then she walks away.

I look down and notice she left a book behind.

I pick it up and smile.
