(Back To Kouta's Pov)

I got into my car and drove out to the grocery store with the list my mom gave me.

Once I got there, I got out and started searching.

Milk, milk, milk... Where's the milk!?

I took two steps back.

Oh, there it is.

I put the milk in my cart and was about to look around some more for the other items on my list when...

"Kouta! "

I turned around to see Mikasa standing behind me with a cart of her own.

"What's up? " she said.

"Nothing much. Just internally yelling at the milk. "

She gave me a strange look.

"Why? "

"They rearranged the aisles so the sucker took forever to find. " I said.

"Oh. Well, I'm glad I was able to see you here. I have something to tell you! "

"What is it? "

"Noriko's leaving tomorrow! "

I felt all the blood drain from my face.

"W-What? "

"See, since she's so smart and all, she decided to graduate early. I know, it's kinda shocking to me too. Shows how much she wants to be at Yale already. Hey Kouta, are you alright? You look a little pale. " Mikasa said and touched a hand to my forehead.
"Well, I don't think you have a fever. Do want sit down somewhere? "

"No, I think I'm alright. " I said, not feeling alright at all.

"Well, okay. If you say so. See you later, Kouta. "

"See ya." I said and the second Mikasa walked completely out of sight, I left my cart behind and ran out of the store.

See, I was scared.

Not because Noriko was leaving but because I didn't care.
