Noriko's leaving....

"Hey, Kouta! "

I look up and see Rin walking over to my table in the study hall.

I'm trying to get my mind off of Noriko.

No matter how much I read or study though it doesn't help.

"Hey. " Rin says and sits down next to me.

"Hey. " I say back.

"You look depressed. What's up?"

"Wouldn't you like to know? "

"I would. That's why I'm asking. "

"It's Noriko. She got accepted into Yale. "

"Well that's great! "

He frowns.

"Wait a second. That means she's going away. Oh, I see. Mr. Friendzoned is going to be friendzoned forever. "

"Thank you Rin. You make me feel so much better... "

"Sorry, dude. Well, why don't you ask her out? "

"You make it sound so easy... " I say thinking back to my last attempt.

"I wanna help you out, but this time you're on your own buddy. Just tell her. That's my advice. Stop being so afraid that she'll reject you and do it. "
