Julia Third POV

      Julia and Jayden were now done reading. Jayden immediately got up to meet the waiter, standing close to the counter. After telling him want he wants he went straight back to his sit.

"Well reading was quite interesting." He tried having a little conversation with Julia but she only nodded her head in reply.

After some seconds she tried getting up but Jayden held her wrist firmly making her sit back.

"Just wait a little." He pleaded with his eyes and he was glad she didn't restrain him as she sat down looking at him.

The waiter came with a tray of 2 pineapple juice and two burger, he served them and went back to his post.

"What's this?" Julia asked suspiciously.

"I just want to eat with you, I missed lunch." He explained.

"If you missed lunch, how is that my business?" I asked rudely.

"Pls Juli." Jayden pleaded.

I just don't understand Jayden at all. He just changed completely, he is even begging me. Jayden what happened to you?

I sighed frustratingly, I guess there's no harm in eating a burger and drinking a glass of juice.

"Alright, I'm eating because you haven't eaten," I said taking the hot burger from the plate biting from it.

"Thank you." He appreciated smiling happily and genuinely as I nodded my head in response.

After eating we were already heading out of the cafe when some bad guys slammed the door on my face, my forehead hitting it with force as they also walked out laughing.

"Ouch... " I whined in anger.

" Are you okay? Is your head bleeding? Is the pain too bad?" Jayden asked quickly as I could sense concern lacing out of his voice.

"I'm good." I replied.

"Are you sure, maybe the swell is too bad, let me get some ice cubes," he said worriedly, trying to turn around but I stopped him replying.

"I'm okay, it isn't serious." I assured with painful smile.

"Are you really sure?" He asked not fully convinced.

"I'm okay Jayden, I'm fine." I replied walking out from the cafe as Jayden did same.

Jayden worried face immediately turned to anger as he sighted the bad guys who were talking and laughing. Jayden processed to walk towards them as I held his elbow shaking my head which signals no.

Jayden held my hands warmly and removed my hand from his elbow gently and walked up to them.

Jayden stop. Just let them go.

"You fucking morons, can't you see what you've done?" He asked arrogantly.

"Who the hell are you calling moron, ass?" One of them asked also being annoyed walking towards Jayden as 4 of his guys stride bind him.

"Who else, if not you jackass."

"Jayden It's okay, lets go." I pleaded but it went deaf ears.

"So you want to fight us, bitch?" One of them asked showing him his gun while some are with knives and daggers.

Shit! They are armed.

"Jayden they are armed, pls lets go." I begged tugging him through his jacket.

"And guess what fool, I can beat you up to trash if I want to." Jayden replied with full anger.

What is wrong with this guy. Can't he see they are armed. Someone will get badly injured if they proceed to fight. Jayden you're too stubborn.

The more he talks, the more he infuriates them.

"Then fight us bitch."

Another member said throwing a punch at Jayden as he dodged it swiftly. Jayden quickly held my wrist firmly tuning me around as we ran for our dear lives but they were chasing after us.

"You don't want to fight us anymore, fucking hole?" One of them asked still running after us.

I was really afraid and scared. Why didn't Jayden just listen to me. In seconds a dagger was thrown towards us as it hit the light pole.

Oh heavens, we're going to die.

Jayden immediately turned to the left as we hid bind a corner, his masculine body was pressed on my chest.

His sweet lavender scent surrounded me which only made me calm down a little.

The bad guys ran pass us not knowing where we were hiding.
I pushed his chest away from my body as he released a sigh of relieve.

"Are you okay, Julia?" He asked staring deep into my eyes.

"Are should be asking you same, idiot?" I asked angrily.
"Didn't I tell you, it was okay? That I'm fine. What were you doing over there? Thinking you could fight them off? They were armed," I said angrily at him ready to slap his face.

"I could still beat their fucking ass even though they are armed but... " He trailed off.

"But what?"

"But I was worried about you. I was scared on your behalve. What if you get injured in the fight. I was infuriated because they hurt you without apologising for the shitty mistake." He explained with full sincerity in his voice.

Does he care for me this much. Or he's lying to win me over. He should have cared about me some years back. Why now?
But he changed completely.
What made him change?
Should I accept him back since I've seen his sincerity towards me?

"I've heard you, lets go home."

I said nonchalantly walking the opposite side heading for home as he walked besides me in a protective manner.

     I was well prepared for our presentation this afternoon. Even how prepared I was, I was still reading through my jotted presentation in the dinning hall.

Rose sat in front of me, Lilian was by my right but a sit way while Loveth by my left. I wasn't too hungry due to my anxiety towards my presentation which was in less than 25 to 30 mins.

"Come on girl, relax," Loveth said nudging me with her elbow.

"I will, I just need to read through this and I'm done."

"That's what you said 10 minutes ago." Lilian huffed in reply.

They won't understand this. I need a higher score in this subject. I just need it.

"You two should let her be but after now, try eating." Rose advised as I nodded my head in reply.

In swift seconds I felt someone sitting by my right hand side. When I looked up to my side I saw it was Jayden.

He wrapped his hand around my waist dragging me towards him which did shocked me but his hand were off my waist immediately.

Jayden you little asshole, what are you doing here?
Can't he see people are staring?

"Hello dearest friends," he said waving at my friends.

Since when did my friends become his.
Lilian always feel happy when she sees Jayden, Loveth now recently smiles when she sees Jayden but Rose expression is rather different, she stares at Jayden in shock or more with wide eyes but in a plain expression.

I don't understand her up to now, Jayden is even the worst.
Jayden just have three characters in him.

He is either mean or friendly or arrogant.

"Is Julia still on earth?" He asked waving his hand in front of my face.

I slapped it out of my sight placing my attention back on my jotting note.

"As you can see, I'm reading," I said nonchalantly not minding his presence.

"Come on Julia, take a break." He whined like a child.

"That's exactly what we told her, " Lilian and Loveth said in union.

Are this girls kidding me? I stared at them in disbelief.

"I'm quite sure she hasn't eaten right?" Jayden asked staring at Rose mostly.

Rose only nodded her head stiffly. Is Rose okay because she's always strange when Jayden is around us.

I notice a chip in front of him as he shrugged, "It's too bad she hasn't eaten."

"Jayden stop disturbing me, stop pestering me and stop bothering me, you stupid moron."

"Like always I won't, I'll do anything for you to forgive me."

"Oh just shut up and get..."

I got cut off as he immediately placed a chip in my mouth. His action only made Lilian and Loveth chuckle in amusement.
Like always his presence have started annoying me.

"Alright, you'll do anything right?" I asked in a nutter manner.

"Most definitely."

"Beautiful, I want you to run around this hall shirtless and tell everyone how foolish you were to betray a very trustworthy friend," I said mindlessly staring at him.

Lilian, Loveth and Rose gasped in shock as I also smiled at Jayden's pale face.

Good lets see how a popular and well respected guy like him will do such because his act will be posted on the school group and students WhatsApp group.

He smiled at me and asked, "And then you'll forgive me right?"

"I'm a lady of my words."

He got up from the sit standing on top of the table bench.

Is he really going to do it? No he can't but he is about to.

He removed his shirt exposing his 4 outlined arbs to everyone as girls screamed and giggled in excitement.

Jayden what is wrong with you? This idiot.

He started running around the hall proudly shouting, "Whoohoo." As girls and some guys complimented him.

This went the wrong way. Jayden is really doing it. I started feeling ashamed for him because he was completely shameless.

When he finally got to my table he stood on top the bench again and smiled.

"Hello guys," he said getting the hall attention.

What the hell is this buzzor still doing?

"Hello hot Jayden Heart." They all replied with a smile on their faces.

Really people? Really?

"You know, I've got to realize that I was a fool," he said shaking his head.

Oh God!

"No you were not." They all replied.

"Seriously I was. I had a friend who normally showed me what true friendship was, she showed me a friendship with full love, she was there for me and comforts me since childhood."

Why must he put the childhood thing? But he continues.

"But I betrayed her out of the blue. That was really stupid of me. I'm doing this to win her trust and friendship back. Do you think she should forgive me?" He asked them.

"Yes..." They shouted.

"Thanks so much, I hope she does," he finally said putting back on his shirt and sitting besides me once again.

Lilian and Loveth's mouth were agape while Rose eyes seems like it was going to fall out from its sockets and I covered my face in shame.

Jayden what have you done? I was practically but seriously joking. I didn't expect him to do so. Everyone now literally knows I'm his mysterious childhood friend.

Why this oh lord? Why?
I cried within.

"So what do you say, Juli?" He asked calling me the nick name he recently uses.

"Jayden you're insane." Was the only thing I could mutter.

"I insanely want you back." He whispered into my ears.

What does he mean by that?

The bell rang signalling our next lectures will soon begin. Everyone started disappearing from the cafeteria including my friends. I stuffed my things into my bag in an improper manner.

Striding towards Biology class with my so called partner. Still in shock with his resent behaviour.

"So are we friends now?" He asked smugly nudging me with his elbow.

"Yes we are."

I had no other choice to comply.

"Yes yes yes yes," he said repeatedly in a joyous manner.

For heaven sake, Jayden you're such an idiot.
