Mel's Nightmare

Justin's POV.

I wake up to Mel screaming her at the top of her lungs in the middle of the. night. Small beads of fill her forehead endlessly. "Willa! Willa!" She screams over and over, kicking her feet and running her fingers through her hair. Is Mel having a nightmare?, I ask myself. I sit up quickly and grab her by waist, yanking her up.

Tears spill out of her closed eyes and fear begins to find its way in my eyes and heart. Why didn't she tell me she has nightmares?, I ask myself. "Wake up baby girl, Wake up!" I shout, yanking her back and forth.

"Willa!" Mel screams, shoving me and kicking me. "Wake up baby!!!" I yell, loudly. Mel finally opens her eyes and her eyes are bloodshot with hot and burning tears.

"Willa is that you?" She asks, wiping away her tears quickly. "No baby, it's me. Justin." I say, softly, touching her soft face and helping her wipe away her tears. "Justin what is going on?" She asks.

"Mel you had a nightmare. Why didn't you tell me you had nightmares?" I ask, madly with concern. "I don't like to tell people about the nightmares I have. There my privacy and I don't want people to think any different of me." Mel explains.

"Please tell me, Mel. Tell me about these nightmares of yours." I beg, putting my hands together as if I am praying. She sighs and says, "These nightmares I have aren't ordinary. There aren't about monsters. It's my worst fear which is losing someone I love. It's about my big sister Willa."

"One day, while Willa was driving to her first day of college I had texted her to tell I will miss her. She answered the text back with I will miss you too when I'm gone. She got into a car wreck and she died on sight. And ever since that day I have been having beautiful yet haunting nightmares about it. They won't stop. It's my fault she died." She explains.

"That's why I don't like to sleep alone." Mel admits, quietly. "I'm sorry, Mel. I didn't know that." I apologize.
"It's ok. It's my fault." Mel says. " No it isn't." I defend. Mel jumps off the bed and begins to the pace the room back and forth quickly.

"Don't say that, yes the hell it is! I'm the reason she's dead! I am! No one else!!!!!" She yells. "No it isn't, Mel. You have to stop blaming yourself. Willa is in a better place now because of you. " I say, softly.

Mel slowly walks over to me and jumps back into bed. "Your right. I just miss her." She says, sadly. I can hear the pain and loss in her soft voice. "I know you do. I miss my parents. My real parents everyday." I admit.

I pull her closed to me and wrap my arms around her waist. "Justin, will you love me with my dark side?" She asks, quietly, into my ear. "Yes. As long as you will love mine." I promise.
"Don't go away, please. Stay with me." She begs, softly. "I will stay, Mel." I say, softly.

"Everybody's got a dark side, can you love mine?" She asks, softly. "Yes, baby." I answer. We drift back to sleep together slowly and calmly.

"I love you." I whisper, quietly. "I love you, too." She whispers back. We fall back asleep together as the rain begins to quietly drizzle outside.

(I really liked this chapter because it really showed how Justin really cares for Mel and how he chose to love her dark side as long she loves his. I used Kelly Clarkson's Dark Side and Taylor Swift's I'm Only Me When I'm With You for this chapter.)
