Lily ran into the Vargas house without knocking or anything. Alex was doing a project with Kiku. Lily burst into the room where Alex and Kiku were working "ALEX DID YOU FRICKEN CUT?! IF YOU DID I SWEAR!", Lily screamed. Alex looked at Lily blankly. "Hello?", Alex said in shock. "What is this all about? What brings this up?", Alex wondered aloud. "There's this huge rumor about you cutting! And if you did I swear!", Lily said grabbing her best friend's arm. Alex winced at the sharp pain she got from Lily grabbing her arm so suddenly. Kiku didn't look up til he heard Alex yelp. Lily rolled up Alex's sleeve preparing herself for if Alex did cut.

"Stop!", Alex pulled her arm away, pulling down the sleeve. Kiku got worried. "You did cut didn't you!", Lily started getting tears in her eyes. Alex, acting like an older sister, wiped the tears from Lily's eyes answering, "Yes", she looked down at the ground. Lily started crying like crazy and almost fell to her knees "How could you cut! You're needed here!", Lily said, finally falling to her knees. Alex looked at Lily on the floor. She didn't look up til Kiku was hugging her. Lily kept crying and didn't wipe any tears, so they fell onto the floor. Alex looked at her sleeve, where she had little blood stains from earlier. "You guys don't have to worry, it's my problem, not yours", Alex answered, walking towards the kitchen sink. Lily managed to mumble through sobs "I-It is MY problem....y-your my friend and i-im not supposed to let this h-happen."

"Don't you're siblings know about this?", Kiku questioned.

"They do"

"And?"

"And what? It's not like they don't do the same thing. The only two that don't it is Romeo and Felicia. Otherwise, everyone else does it, It's not really new", Alex said, washing her arms. Wincing every now and then at the pain. "No, Romano doesn't do it", Kiku and Lily said in sync. "Lily, remember when I told you ' he hurts himself when he does'?", Alex asked. Lily looked up with her cheeks stained with rushing tears, "T-that's what y-you meant? I-I t-thought you meant h-he kicks h-himself", Lly stuttered. "No, I meant that way. He only does it that way. Aria has been stopping only doing at least once a month.", Alex replied. "Then why are you doing it? Are you constantly doing this?", Kiku asked, looking as if he might cry himself.

Alex shrugged. "Then don't do it!", Kiku almost teared. He could feel the tears coming to his eyes. Lily was on her knees crying still mumbling "I-if you cut...I-i might loose the o-only t-true f-f-friend I-i have...", Lily managed to say. Alex froze from what she was doing. The words repeated themselves in her head. Alex dropped the towel and held her head. Kiku looked at her. "A-Alex are you okay?", he asked. Alex stopped and returned to what she was doing. "Yeah, I'm fine", she lied. She didn't want those words to repeat her head. She didn't want them to haunt her forever.

Lily just sat there crying and a big puddle of tears sat in front of her.

-Time Skip-

Alex was in her room drawing. Kiku had after they finished the project telling her not to cut anymore. Lily was downstairs with Italy. Germany was out on a little business trip for his boss. Aria came into the room, they shared."What'cha drawing?", she asked. "Nothing special. Just the usual", she lied. "Okay.", Aria sat down on her bed, and got straight to reading her book.

Everything got quiet after dinner. Alex looked out the window. It was still light out. She got up from where she sat on her bed and walked downstairs, past Italy and Lily. She walked to the door. "Hey, I'm going to Kiku's okay?", she lied again. Italy smiled and nodded. Lily did the same with a little suspicion, but pushed it back to the back of her brain.

"I can't stop it anymore! I can't!", Alex yelled at herself. "Stop saying the same damn words over and over again!"

"And those words would be?", a strange yet familiar voice said. "I've heard this voice somewhere but, where?", Alex questioned herself

"Why everything has to paths, the left and right", it continued. Alex started to think she was going insane. Soon a figure appeared. It slowly faded in.

"Cheshire Cat?", Alex asked herself.

"Yes?", Cheshire answered. Alex shook her head and started to run.

Alex finally stopped at the edge of a creek. Voices continued to talk in her mind. Every so often she's scratch her head to tell them to stop or shut up.

They never listened.

Hours passed and she was at a bridge. She looked over the side of the bridge. There weren't too many people on the bridge. Tiny voices kept saying "Just do, no one cares, no will. You wont be missed-" but soon cut off by Lily's words "If you cut, I'll lose my only true friend, I have".

Alex grabbed her phone and earbuds and put music in her ears. She listened to the voices, and went over the railing.

"Alex? Alex Vargas?", a voice called. Alex turned her head, still holding onto the bar. "S-si", she stuttered. She saw the figure as her Grandfather, Grandpa Rome. But as it got closer it turned out not to be Grandpa Rome, instead it was Boss Spain (Toni). (Did I seriously? Nvm go with it) "Alex what are you doing?", Toni asked. "N-Nothing, why?", Alex continued to stutter.

"Just wondering because you're on the other side other bridge"

"S-So I am. Big deal!", Alex pouted. Accidently letting go of the bar. "Toni!" She yelled. Toni grabbed her arm before she could fall farther than within reach.

Alex was scared. When Toni got her back over the side of the bridge where it was safe, she hugged Toni, without letting go. Toni ruffled her hair and chuckled. "What's got into you. You're normally like Lovino.", Toni said with his accent. "Why were you on the other side of the bridge in the first place?", Toni wondered aloud.

Alex stayed silent. Toni picked her up and carried her to his house.

Once they were there, Toni offered Alex to call home but she said no Romano would just get mad.

Few moments passed and Toni was in the kitchen making dinner, with Alex at the island with him. She watched him work.

After time went on, Alex felt the urge to tell Toni why she was at the Bridge. "H-Hey Toni", Alex stuttered. Toni looked up, "Si senorita?", Toni asked.

"Can I tell you something?"

"Si"

"But you gotta swear you wont tell anyone else"

"I promise"

"This includes the Vargas'"

"Si, I wont tell"

"Okay, so you want to know why I was at the bridge?", she looked down at the marble counter top. Toni nodded.

"Well, well, I was led there by voices in my head and when I got to the bridge, they kept saying 'Do it, no one will care. No one ever does'. But there was this little voice saying 'If you cut, I'll lose the only true friend I had', but the others blocked it off or something. So I thought about it. Then I agreed and that's when you found me.", Alex didn't look up, not even when he demanded her too look up.

Toni looked at her, he lifted her head to find her crying. He hugged Alex. "Senorita, if you ever need anyone to talk to I'm here. But would you have actually jumped if I never showed?", Toni asked. Alex thought about it. "I don't know", she finally responded.

Later, Toni called the Vargas' and told them Alex was safe was at his house. He didn't go further into detail.

He helped Alex cover or heal her cuts, and sent her bed.
