After a very long maths class, Rainbow Dash went to her locker and took out her science gown. She had lab practice and she needed protective clothes just in case she spilled chemicals on herself. She went to class and the teacher said:

- Today, we're going to create a chemical reaction in pairs. I will choose the partner that you work with, so don't complain.

She started to name pe groups of two: Lyra and Bon Bon, Octavia and DJ Pon-3,... Applejack and Rainbow Dash. Rainbow looked at her best friend and they paired up. For some reason, she continued to feel strange around Applejack. They took the necessary ingredients: baking powder and vinegar. Applejack accidentally touched Rainbow's hand as she tried to grab the pack of baking powder. Rainbow blushed, and she didn't underestand why. 

The two friends continued to do the experiment as if nothing had happened. The teenagers showed the final work to the teacher and she gave them top marks.

After class, Applejack said:

- What a great team we are! Right RD?

- Yep, the best in the whole wide world! Every other team needs to be about 20 percent cooler- said the athlete while she and AJ did their special handshake.

They went to their lockers, took off their lab clothes and picked their wallets to buy food in the cafeteria.

- AJ, I kind of left mine on the kitchen table this morning, so go without me- said Rainbow Dash.

- Don't worry sugarcube, I'll pay for your lunch. After all, what are friends for?- said the blonde girl tapping Rainbow in the back and smiling.

Rainbow Dash was so happy that she hugged Applejack and thanked her a million times.

They went to the cafeteria, but something strange was going on.
