THIRTY-NINE

SURREY, LITTLE WINGING.

The park seemed to clear out after five pm and the dursleys home was stuffing heavily due to the large heatwave taking over in the muggle world, vernon sat all day smothering frozen foods as petunia dressed in short dresses and tanned outside enjoying the heat.

Y/n and Harry walked silently, side by side through the dried up long grass and towards that park just around the corner from what they called 'home'. Plenty of children were outside on their bikes, having barbecues and playing outside games - also enjoying the heat.

Y/n and Harry hated the heat. It was too stuffy for their liking and it would also remind them of how they're stuck in the muggle world with barely any contact from their friends, or any connection to their other life. They mostly stuck around in the park, barely talking, so miserable after the ending to their fourth year, almost dreading their fifth one.

Harry was a miserable lad now, his once bright and enthusiastic green eyes that he inherited from his mother had drained, as if the happiness could never be reached, not to mention he had a thin rim of circular glasses to sit on the bridge of his nose. The boy was lanky and he gained his fathers scruffy black hair, which he constantly needed to trim as it grew so fast. The one thing about Harry Potter though, was his lightning bolt scar on his forehead. The one thing that made him so infamous.

Y/n on the other hand had blonde hair that reached to the bottom of her back, it wasn't a neat cut of her hair, all the split ends from Petunias Dursleys laziness to trim it showed through. However she had a small strand of black hair on the middle of her hairline which she had gained  from third year. Her feminine features was a large charm to boys, she absolutely despised it when men would almost fall to their knees since she was apparently that good-looking, she inherited this particular charm  from her mother. There was a dimple left on her left cheek which had only come from a scar Voldermort caused, a gentle reminder that she's seen Voldermort in the flesh.

They both sat swaying on the swings which faced the round-a-bout, where a son was gently told from their mother that it was time to leave. Harry's news paper was down in his lap, y/n's sunglasses abandoned against the top of her head. Sadly smiling at the mother and son connection these random strangers held.

The children began to scatter and leave the park, along with the parents, mum or dad, Harry and y/n still sat in the warm breeze against their pale skins and eventually the park was isolated, quiet and alone. The only thing alive was the soft breeze brushing through the grass, yes there was y/n and Harry though they didn't feel alive in their spot until a large boy came swaying towards the two with four other kids behind him. Chuckling, smirking, and mainly biting their lip to y/n's chest seeing as she was wearing one of petunias shirt that most definitely impressed vernon, including her shorts that were a cut up pair of dudleys jeans.

"Alright big D, beat up another ten year old?" Harry asked, his cousin Dudley stood before him. Harry's body slouched with his blue shirt fitting more snug.

"This one deserved it," Dudley almost slurred, it was no surprise that he was acting this way, him and his boxer mates did drugs anytime they could get their hands on it, sneaking round the corner, taking a few puffs and smashed up some kids they didn't enjoy the looks of.

"Five against one, very brave of you," y/n announced, crossing her legs.

"You're one to talk," he jerked his head upwards. "Moaning in your sleep at night, at least I'm not afraid of my pillow," he began to smirk whilst his friends howled with laughter. "Don't kill Cedric! Who's Cedric your boyfriend?" He asked, looking to Harry, who sighed in response.

"Shut up," he mumbled.

"He's going to kill me mum!" Dudley shrieked. "Where is your mum potter? Or you?" He asked, y/n folded her arms. "She dead?" He laughed, his friends beginning to howl along with their leader of whatever group they had. "She dead!" He repeated himself which infuriated Harry Potter.

"Harry!" Y/n yelled, watching as her God-brother bolted up and charge towards Dudley, whipping out his wand, pressing it against the bottom of Dudley jaw, his gang of friends shrieked with laughter, Dudley seemed to stop teasing once he noticed the wood against his jaw.

"Don't you also think he deserves it, even after teasing you about Glinda?" Harry snapped to y/n, she threw a glare to Harry's cousin.

"Oi, Oi," the raven haired boy with deep brown eyes called out, his arm slipping around y/n's waist and slithered down to her backside, but as the boy lifted his hand, she snapped around, and used her elbow to jab him in the nose.

"Argh! Dudley we're getting out of here," the boy responded, holding his nose, y/n also noticed his friends leaving and the park grow a shade of blue, instead of the warm sunny colour it had before, a much more colder breeze brushed past her bare legs as she looked up, the skies beginning to close up with clouds.

"What are you doing," Dudley questioned, looking at Harry in the eye.

"Im not doing anything!" He responded.

"Dudley come on!" Dudleys friends yelled at the other side of the park, still running away from y/n's reflex.

The wind picked up as well as their heart rates, the three teens all began to sprint out the other end of the park, closer to their house, past the dried up grass which was not getting hydrated when the rain began to pour down of the teenagers clothes.

In a panicked state, for what the unkown weather change, they continued to sprint towards a sheltered area, which seemed to be the closest subway, a pathway people could walk through in order to avoid cars from above them, was a filthy area with plenty of graffiti but anything for less rain on their shoulders.

All three leaped over the fence and jogged to a stop inside of the subway, an unsettling feeling closed around them. No noise was heard beside the cars, rain and the teens heavy breathing, Dudley mostly taking the cake with how unfit they all were.

Harry gasped as he looked behind him, when he was suddenly lifted from the ground and his body shoved against the subway wall, Dudley watched oddly as Harry's body levitated, abruptly being knocked of his feet when trying to make a run for it and slipping against his wet shoes.

Y/n watched in horror as two dementors were hovering over Harry's body, his skin looked to be peeling away as the dementors over Dudley's face began to pry at his soul. She held out her wand and stared at the two, unsure what she should attempt seeing as if she even attempted to use magic she'd be expelled and the wand she's carrying would forever be useless until she grew old.

"expecto patronum!" the girl cried as a small wisp of light fell from the tip of her wand, she sprinted towards the dementor that grasped Harry by his neck and poked the long piece of wood at his fabricated eye socket. She crawled away as soon as possible, avoiding her soul being sucked too. Harry grabbed his wand and pointed it at the hooded cloaked monsters.

"Expecto Patronum!"  He yelled a great ball of light was casted and it throw away the black cloaked creature, almost immediately harry swung his wand hand towards the dementor hovering over Dudley, the ball of bright white light charged to the specific dementor as it shrieked, zooming into the darker night, the rain had seemed to of stopped as they no longer heard the trickling of rain.

The God-siblings ran towards Dudley who laid unconcious, completely loopey and tired. Footsteps began to walk inside of the subway, y/n tapped on Harry's shoulder as an old woman shuffled inside, it was Mrs. Figg, their neighbour from across the road at privet drive, the teens instantly sliding their wands into their pockets.

"Don't put your wand away kids, you never know if they might come back," she announced, her rolling back behind her and she glanced to the panicked teenagers.

-

"dementors in little winging" she sighed, the old lady had rainproof coat and waterproof headscarf seemed to of made the woman comfortable with the rain. The teens had Dudley's arm over one shoulder carrying his whole weight onto themselves, walking into Privet Drive.

"I don't understand, how do you know-" Harry spoke up, looking at the woman.

"Dumbledore, asked me to keep an eye on you," she finished his sentence.

"You know Dumbledore?" Y/n grunted, Dudley's weight pulling her down.

"Especially after hearing about you-know-who did to that poor Diggory boy last year, did you expect he'd been wanting you two wandering around on your own? good lord, and they told me you're both intelligent, now get inside, and stay inside, expect someone to turn up soon, whatever happens don't leave the house," Mrs. Figg told the teens, patting on Harry's back as they turned around and headed inside.

"Dudleykinks is that you?" Petunia questioned, until the door burst open with Harry and y/n both helping to carry Dudley on their shoulders. "Vernon come quick," she almost yelled, placing down her mini fan. Vernon looked around the corner with a spoon in hand as y/n and Harry carried their only son to a seat in the dining table. "We have to take him to hospital," Petunia whined, holding her son close to her chest, acting as if Dudley was stabbed.

"Who did this to you boy?" Vernon leaned over as Dudley slowly raised his arm directly pointing  towards Harry and y/n.

"Pardon me?" Y/n blurted out.

"Happy are we now? Eh? You've finally done it, you've finally driven him loopy," Vernon yelled as petunia slapped his arm.

"Vernon! Don't say that!" She told him as Vernon looked at her shell-shocked, his arms in the air and eyes bulged.

"Look at him petunia, he's gone all yumpey!" He replied to petunia but y/n and Harry heard.

"yumpey? Sorry his soul was just sucked and mind you, he had been abusing drug for the past couple of months," she spoke up, crossing her legs and arms.

"Y/n-"

"I've reached my limit d'you hear, especially you young girl, not one bit of you blood comes within ours and you still stand smug because your mothers dead and your dads a criminal meaning you're stuck here," Vernon yelled and it only made y/n even more furious with their current situation. "This is going to be the last of you and your nonsense!" He finished.

An owl had flown inside of the Durlseys home, swiftfully before head-butting straight into the elegant chandelier, it's letter and feathers bursted from the barn owl. It squeaked only to rapidly  to perch up on the sofa, Vernon quivered away when the letter suddenly formed its parchment into hooded eyes as its wax smeared out into lips.

"Dear Mr. Potter and Miss. Black, the ministry has received intelligence that at 6:23 this evening you both performed the patrons charm, in the presence of a muggle, as a clear violation of the decree for the reasonable restriction of underage divert you are hereby expelled from Hogwarts witchcraft and wizardry," The letter told the two, who's jaw had dropped, not as if they were already miserable. "Hoping you are well, mafalda hopkirk," the letter finished before falling back into its regular shape on the old brown carpet.

"Justice," Vernon spoke, smirking and waved his spoon towards them.

"This is such bullshit!" Y/n announced, marching upstairs and into her shared room, grabbing her shoes from underneath her and launching them towards the cupboard, grabbing the other and lobbed it towards the cupboard again, Harry later stormed in and booted the door closed immediately slamming his fists against the wall, alarming both their owls.

"Sorry hedwig," he apologised to his snowy owl, looking at the frame of his parents waltzing beside the fountain and picked it up, calmly placing it against his bedside table, y/n climbed up to her bed and didn't bother to change, the tears were silently streaming and had only made her more exhausted, eventually making her fall asleep.

-

"These muggles are so clean," a young female voice whispered from outside the God-Siblings door, y/n felt Harry's fist punch under her mattress, waking her up as soon as possible, she looked over to the door and watched the key that had locked the door twist and fall, Harry's head came up in y/n peripheral vision.

"Tonks for gods sake," Mad-eye Moody's voice echoed, suddenly alarming Harry and y/n, squinting their eyes at the bright light produced from the woman's wand, the woman with a small leather jacket, long pink shirt with ripped up tights underneath her large purple skirt, chucky leather boots and punk rock purple hair.

"Professor Moody," Harry spoke.

"Didn't have much of a chance with that title eh?" He chuckled, y/n let out a breath and rubbed her eyes.

"What are you doing here?" Y/n asked, his two eyes turned up to the girl still laying against the bed frame.

"Rescuing you of course," he smiled along with the girl.

-

"Where are we going? the letter said we've been expelled from Hogwarts," Harry ranted, the teens had grabbed a jacket seeing as the blazing temperatures from that afternoon had dropped and there was a small bitter breeze against their cheeks.

"You haven't been, not quite yet," Moody announced, he limpedtowards the end of the road, looking left and right as if he was crossing it. "Kingsley you take point," he spoke.

"But the letter said-" y/n protested until a black wizard with blue robes stood beside y/n and Moody.

"Dumbledore has persuaded the minister to suspend your expulsion, pending a formal hearing," he announced, Harry and y/n's eyebrows furrowed.

"A hearing?" Harry questioned, the blue robed man nodded.

"Uh-huh," he responded.

"Don't worry kids, we'll explain everything when we get back to headquarters," the punk rock purple haired girl announced, looking towards the two startled kids.

"Shh! Not here Nymphadora," Moody hushed, the girl looked back up at the odd man, with a furious expression.

"Don't, call me, Nymphadora," she told Moody, when rapidly orange hair started to sprout from the roots down towards the tips of her hair. Y/n and Harry watched in awe. Y/n had figure this 'Nymphadora' was a metamorphagus, she'd read about them in transfiguration, they're able to change appereance they decide, and can change into whatever species they preferred.

"Stay in formation everyone," Moody announced to his followers, he smacked his walking stick against the concrete roughly, broomsticks magically appeared from the atmosphere and on by one fell into the owners hands, y/n stood without a broomstick, Nymphadora only clicked her tongue towards y/n.

"Hop on," she told and y/n nodded. They all mounted the brooms and took turns zooming up into the sky, trying their best to not be sighted by any muggles, quickly whizzing over the River Thames, the wizards ascending into the midnight sky.

"I'm Tonks by the way, I'd very much prefer if you'd call me that too," she told y/n who nodded in response. "I'm also your second cousin, my mum and your dad are related," she explained, y/n gasped at a sudden thought.

"Wait, so you're also related to the Malfoys?" Y/n asked, Tonks clicked her tongue again.

"Unfortunately," she responded and y/n chuckled.

"Tell me about it," y/n announced causing the two girls to laugh, following after the group towards a upper class square of muggle flats with a small park placed just outside the homes which they all landed inside of and jumped off their brooms.

"Come on," Moody took lead of the group, everybody followed after. His head turned left and right for any muggles watching.

He tapped his staff against the ground, in a rhythmic code, y/n thought there was definite magic behind it and smiled as she watched the building separate, a tucked in home began to one by one shift outwards. Whilst the other muggle homes were shaking completely. Fish tanks, wine glasses were shaking vigorously yet the muggles took no notice of it. The extra hidden building stood proudly in front of them with a bright red door and the fence propped itself up.

"in you go kids," moody spoke. Y/n and Harry exchanged a  strange glance, being the first two to walk inside this unknown building.

They headed up the steps into the building, opening the door and looked into the high walled corridors, with peeling wallpaper and dim lighting, y/n and Harry had a trained thought of go home, it doesn't matter anymore, moody could be under the polyjuice potion and they've just lured them into some odd lair. What was it Tonks said? Headquarters?

Moody barged past the two wondering wizards, and they pressed themselves close to the right side of the wall, allowing Kingsley, five other random wizards and Tonks by, Tonks only looked back and gave a playful wink towards the teens, turning around and tripping in her chunky shoes that didn't know which direction they were heading.

Kingsley turned around at the noise, she only kicked a table, she jerked herself forwards at it as if the table were the culprit. She looked to the teens again and shrugged, causing a small smile against y/n's and Harrys lips.

"-stronger by the minute we have to act now," voices grew louder when they walked closer towards the open door - which Moody, Tonks and Kingsley stepped inside of. the teens gradually got closer to come face to face with Sirius Black. A man that had been helping the teens problems the majority of fourth year.

"Harry! Y/n!" Molly Weasleys motherly figure popped into the doorway suddenly, blocking their view of their (God) father.

"Mrs. Weasley," Harry replied, Molly closed the door behind her and held her arms out wide, embracing Harry in a tight hug, Harry enjoyed having a woman to care for him over the summer.

"Heavens your alright," she announced, pulling away and placed her hand on each side of y/n's face, looking at y/n sympathetically. "Oh darling, Ginny told me about you and Fred as soon as she got home, you doing well? Need anything from me to make you any better?" She suggested for y/n to only shake her head, smiling.

"None at all Mrs. Weasley, I've been debating on coming to terms with him," she announced, the smile on Molly's face grew bright, giving the girl a tight hug and pulled away, both hands on hips.

"Both look a bit pesky but dinner will have to wait until after the meetings," she told them as they both looked upset at her comment, she was expecting it.

"Can't we just quickly see-" they began to protest.

"No, no," she told them, her arm directed to the stairs, more wallpaper was decaying at the ends and the stairs carpet looked rough. "No time to explain, straight upstairs, door to your left," she told them.

They began to walk up the stairs, turning around at the banister seemed uneasy as a house-elf stood cleaning the window seal by himself, looking at the teenagers with disgust.

"Blood-traitors, half-bloods, mud bloods are all here minstrels, I won't let you don't mistress I won't let you-" he began to mumble, wiping a stained cloth against the windows, y/n land harry exchanged odd looks.

They came to a door that was slightly opened, y/n took the lead in widening the door by its rusty door knob and allowed Harry inside first, he gave a good look around the old room, before arms wrapped tightly around his neck, he knew instantly who it was due to their bushy large long hair.

"Harry!" Hermione yelled, she looked panicked, Ron came over and gave y/n a hug, until Hermione threw him out of the way and hugged onto her other best friend. "Y/n!" She squealed once more, she eventually pulled away and the two teens were just staring at their two best friends. "We overheard them talking about the dementors attack are you alright," she rambled, her eyebrows raised. "You must tell us everything," she added, Ron chuckled behind her.

"Let them breathe Hermione," he announced. Y/n pondered around the room, she was curious at the non-dusty conditions and the wallpaper peeling away, it was an odd combination.

"And this hearing with the ministry is just outrageous, I've looked it up they simply can't expel you, it's completely unfair," Hermione added on, Harry followed after y/n as she placed her fingers against the draws, seeing no dust surprisingly.

"Yeah," Harry spoke.

"You got that right," y/n continued.

"There a lot of that going around at the moment," Harry responded, his head still looking around. "So what is this place?" He asked, y/n sat against the bed, the sheets were whiter than the carpet, which was a worn out grey tone.

"Headquarters," Ron said, him and Hermione standing beside the doorframe.

"Of the order of the Phoenix," Hermione continued. "It's a secret society, Dumbledore formed it back then when they fought you-know-who," she described, y/n folded her arms.

"Couldn't of put it in a letter I suppose?" She asked, Hermione only looked to Ron.

"We've gone all summer without a scrap of news," Harry added along.

"We wanted to write, mate, we really did,"  Ron told them y/n only rolled her eyes, sitting against the bed frame.

"Only Dumbledore made us swear not to tell you anything," Hermione burped.

"Dumbledore said that?" Harry asked.

"But why would he keep us in the dark? Maybe we could help, after all we both watched Voldermort return, both ones who fought him, both watched Cedric Diggory get killed," y/n called out, her voice raising until two gingers suddenly popped inside of the room with a loud CRACK!

"Harry!" Fred yelled.

"Thought we heard dulcet tones," George yelled.

"Don't bottle it up mate, though mate, let it all out," Fred continued.

"If you're all done shouting," George added.

"Do you want to hear something a little more interesting," Fred spoke, y/n once again rolled her eyes.

-

"If anyone has a right to know its those two! If it wasn't for them... We wouldn't know Voldermort was back," Fred and George had used one of their own products for their future joke shop, Harry had given away the majority of his eternal glory from, the tournament towards the twins in order for them to pursue their dream career. Hermione, Ron, Harry, Y/n, Fred and George all hovered around the other end of the ear which was dangling to sneak on what the order was discussing.

"They're not a children anymore, Molly," Sirius voice rose, they all listened carefully.

"They're not adults either, they're not James or Glinda, Sirius," Molly argued.

"Well they're not your kids," Sirius spoke.

"They're as good as," Molly added. "Who else have they got?" She added. Footsteps creaked towards the teenagers spot on the staircase.

"Hey Ginny," Harry said, Ginny stood with Pigwideon at her shoulder, clearly it had been pestering the other owls as she offered him a warm smile.

"They got me," Sirius announced.

"How touchingly paternal, Black," a hollow monotone voice dragged, Harry and y/n recognised it instantly. "Perhaps potter will grow to become a felon just like his godfather, and the girl-" his voice continued to preach only for Sirius to pipe up.

"Now you stay out of this snivellus," he rose his voice.

"Snapes apart of the order?" Harry looked up to the ginger who nodded, Ron scrunched his nose up to the ceiling.

"Git." Ron added, looking back down at the extendable ear.

"-about your supposed reformation," voices continued to argue.

"I know better,"

"So why don't you tell him?"

There was a tug at the ear, all the teens looked down to see the ginger fluffy cat Crookshanks, a mischievous cat that the majority of Hermione's friends hated.

"Get off it!" Fred whisper-yelled, tugging at the ear.

"Quick!" Ron bekoned, he and George started to tug at the ear, attempting to pull it away from Crookshanks' mouth.

"Get it up,"

"Crookshanks!" Hermione called, whacking her palm against the banister. "Stop it," she yelled in a low voice, the cat ingnoring her calls.

"Get off it you bloody cat!" Ron called.

"Crookshanks leave it alone!" Hermione continued to yell. Harry, y/n and Ginny just watched the scene happen.

"Get it up," Ginny spoke, when suddenly the tugging stopped and ear was inside Crookshanks mouth, running away down to the kitchen with it smugly, the teens all groaned.

"Hermione I hate your cat," Ron announced, breaking eye contact with his friends & family.

"Bad Crookshanks!" Hermione called down to her cat that was no longer in sight.

-

"We'll be eating downstairs in the kitchen!" Molly's voice bellowed around the home, with a smile across her face, her son and daughter charging down the steps with Hermione, Harry and y/n just behind, her smile faded when a loud crack echoed behind her, startling the woman. "Oh! Just because you allowed to use magic now does not mean you have to whip your wands out every five seconds!" She yelled, slapping at her twins' shoulders who only giggled in response, chasing themselves downstairs.

"Hi mum," Ginny spoke to her mother, the angry expression still remained on her face.

"Hungry kids?" She asked them, Arthur Weasley, the father scooped an arm behind his wife's waist and smiled to the teens.

"You sure you're alright you two, you gave us quite the turn," he asked. It was interrupted by the man behind him, Remus lupins body towered over, but it certainly wasn't his voice, although they were excited to see their old professors scars once more.

"Harry potter," Sirius spoke, Molly and Arthur stood aside, the teens both gaining a smile against their lips.

"Sirius," Harry said, the two boys hugging tightly, as if they were friends, rather than relatives. Sirius pulled away with a smile and looked to his daughter - his smile a bit more brighter. She hugged him first, and remained that way for a couple of seconds, y/n managed to gain the scent of fruits as well side of a dog who's just been in a run, Harry smiled gently at the father and daughter.

"Y/n Black, see you've taken your fathers name," he pulled away, y/n nodded, hands against her hips.

"Seemed better than Delacour in all honesty," she added as he chuckled, nodding them downstairs and trailed behind just after.
