SCOTLAND. HOGWARTS SCHOOL.

A day had past and it was their detention, the day had gone by quickly with lessons boring them and the moonlight shining on the school grounds as Mr. Flich lead the children towards Hagrids hut.

"A pity they let the old punishments die. There was a detention would find you hanging by your thumbs in the dungeons. God I miss the screaming," Filch said with a weird smile on him. Y/n looked at him nervously and gulped.

"Weirdo," she muttered before they all shook off what he said.

"You'll be serving detention with Hagrid tonight. He's got a little job to do inside the dark forest..." the man announced as the five children turned up in hagrids doorstep. Filch knocked as the large man stepped out.

"A sorry lot this, Hagrid. Oh, good god, man, you not still on about that bloody dragon, are you?" Filch asked.

"Norberts gone. Dumbledore sent him off to Romania to live in a colony," Hagrid said, snuggling, y/n watched as Ron's ears flushed with red.

"Well that's good isn't it? He'll be with his own kind," Hermione spoke up, trying to lift the atmosphere up slightly.

"Yeah but what if he doesn't like Romania? What if the other dragons are mean to him? He's only a baby after all," Hagrid told her as they all fell silent.

"Oh, for gods sake, pull yourself together, Man. You're going into the forest, after all. Got to have your wits about you," filch groaned.

"The forest? I thought that was a joke! We can't go in there. Students aren't allowed. And there are...werewolves," Draco said, a slight quiver in his tone.

"There more than werewolves in those trees lad," Mr. Filch told the boy before giving them a gaze. "You can be sure of that. Nighty-night," he said and turned on his heel to walk away.

"Oh, is Draco scared? But wait who's fault was it that were in this mess right now?" Y/n chirped up raising her brows to Malfoy as he glared at her.

"Shut up Potter," he told her as she moved closer.

"Oh yeah? Try me," she said before Hagrid and her mates pushed her back.

"Okay kids, no need to argue," Hagrid said and grabbed his lantern, closing his house door. "Right, lets go," he said as the children followed behind.

As the children followed behind Hagrid they all began to feel uneasy, they were getting closer inside and it got darker as all pathways looked like they lead to nothing and the trees looked like a maze.

It wasn't long before Hagrid recognised something unfamiliar, he bent down and examined something, dipping his fingers in a silvery mess on the dirt, rubbing his fingers together.

"Hagrid what is that?" Y/n asked, looking closer to the liquid.

"What were here for," Hagrid said as he pointed to the puddle, the other kids hurderling around. "See that? That's unicorn blood, that is. I found one dead a few weeks ago," he sighed. "So, it's our job to find the poor beast. Ron, Hermione you'll come with me, y/n and Harry you'll go with Malfoy," he said.

"Your kidding," y/n said.

"Y/n we've gotta find this creature and who's killing it," Hagrid reminded her as she rolled her eyes, he tapped lightly on her shoulder indicating for her to come closer. "If he does any harm find me as fast as you can before you two end up havin' a fight," he said and she nodded.

"Okay," Malfoy moaned. "Then I get Fang!" He demanded, y/n quickly scrunched up her face.

"Just so you know, he's a bloody coward," Hagrid reminded him.

"Could say the same thing about Malfoy too," y/n smirked and passed Harry a lantern.

Later on, the three scurried off into the forest as they turned many corners with Fang trailing behind them.

"You wait until my father hears about this. This is severents stuff," he whined.

"Oh boohoo," y/n tutted, Fang walking beside her ankles, preferring her company more than both Hagrids, Harrys and malfoys.

"If I didn't know better, Draco, I'd dare say you were scared," Harry implied, causing a noticeable giggle off y/n.

"Scared, potter," Draco said and scoff.

"Not a bit Malfoy," y/n said as a sound of a twig snapping caused the three to turn their heads around at that direction.

"Did you hear that?" Malfoy asked the two, almost clinging onto them like a teddy bear. Y/n felt Fang walk past and in front of the three.

"What's wrong Fang?" Harry asked, y/n and Harry both looked in the direction of where fang was looking seeing something,

something was hiding.

They saw a cloaked body bent over a unicorn, sucking out the blood like some vampire, and at the sight of the children, it lifted its head, blood dripping down its chin. Harry gasped as he reached for his scar.

"What's wrong Harry?" Y/n asked before the lateen was smashed at the side of them, they both turned to see Malfoy making a run for it.

"AHHHHHHH!" He screamed through the trees, running further away. "Help! Help! Help!" He cried getting further away from the distance.

"Thank god he-" y/n paused seeing the hooded figure begin to float towards Harry and herself, its arms pointing out, moving closer towards the twins.

They shifted back, keeping their eyes of the person walking closer to them eerily. They both suddenly fell down from a unshaped root, they looked around thinking about how they could get up as the figure got closer neither of them making a word before it tumbled back.

They lifted their heads seeing the body of a horse jump over their heads and chase the thing away from the two as they both helped each other up.

"Harry and y/n potter, you must leave," the creature spoke, it turns around to show a mans chest and upwards being shown attached to a horses body, it was a centaur. "You a both known to many creatures here," he said as they looked at the man in awe. "This forest is not safe at this time," he told them. "Especially for you two," hesaid.

"But what was that thing you saved us from?" Harry asked the man.

"Monstrous creature, it is a terrible crime to slay a unicorn, drinking the blood of a unicorn will keep you alive if you are at fatal death," he explained to the children. "But at a terrible price," he said "the use lays something so pure that when the blood touches your lips, you'll have a half life, a cursed life," he said as the two just stood there.

"But who would choose such a life?" Y/n asked him.

"Can't you think of no-one?" He questioned before y/n looked over at Harry.

"D'you mean to tell me that, that thing that killed the unicorn, that was drinking its blood, that was Voldemort?" Harry asked as y/n furrowed her brows whilst the man pushed his face towards them.

"Do you know what's laying inside of that school at this very moment?" He asked as the two looked at each other.

"The philosophers stone!" They whispered at each other.

"Harry, y/n!" Hermione yelled, Ron behind her with Fang on her right, Hagrid beside him and Malfoy on Hagrids right, holding a lantern. Both of the twins head snapped towards there way.

"Hello their Firenze, see you've met our young potters," Hagrid spike holding a crossbow in his hands. "Alright there kids?" He asked as the two nodded.

"Harry and y/n," the man spoke again, their gaze shooting back to him. "This is where i leave you, you're safe now, good luck," he said before turning around and galloping off into the trees.

"You mean, You-Know-Who's out there, right now, in the forest?" Hermione asked as the twins nodded.

"But he's weak, he's living off unicorns," Harry said still not getting enough proof for the two.

"Don't you see? We had it wrong. Snape doesn't want he stone for himself, he wants it for Voldemort. With the elixir of life, Voldermort will be strong again, he'll come back," y/n began to whisper the last part as they all sat in the common room.

"But if he comes back, you don't think he'll try kill you, do you?" Hermione questioned him.

"I think if he had the chance, he could've killed me and y/n tonight," Harry told her.

"And after all this time I've been worrying about potions final!" Ron announced waving his hands in the air.

"Hang on a minute, were forgetting something," hermione paused "what's the one wizard you-know-whos has always feared?" She asked.

"Dumbledore!" Y/n almost yelled, thank god no-one was inside of the common room at the minute. "As long as dumbledore around you'll be safe, As long as Dumbledore is around, you can't be touched," y/n told her brother as he began to smile.

"We should get to bed, we still have classes tomorrow," hermione chimed in as they all agreed, the two girls heading upstairs and said goodnight to the boys as they went off to bed too.
