Prologue

Stella was a 15-year-old teenager, who lived a life filled with great despair. She was a complete introvert, who suffered deeply from social anxiety.

She never really lured herself into the outside world, since she knew that the whole world was surrounded with pure chaos.

Additionally, her parents always left her at their almost-filthy home, not because of work, but because of entertaining occasions. They would usually go to parties or concerts, instead of watching over Stella.

They would even deprive her from education, which was the one of the most vital for a child's development. Stella only learned what the reality really was, by reading the stocked books from the shelf. Her life was like trapped in a cage, full of padlocks that had no keyhole.

Despite the fact of her being an introvert, she was a loyal person towards her parents, willing to keep their hearts on hers forever. Plus, she only had one true friend, whom she called as her most valuable diamond.

Cassie, a 7-year-old little girl, was Stella's precious friend. She is very playful, and definitely one of the most adorable kids you could have ever met.

Although, she suffered from a severe illness known as, 'Lung Cancer,' which made it barely for a young girl like her to survive. Their last conversation with one another was truly heart breaking, ever since they promised each other that they'll live life together until the end.

Shortly after Cassie's death, Stella had to learn how to move on. Ever since Cassie passed away, she had changed her daily lifestyle. She became more positive and brave, just as what Cassie had advised.

One morning, Stella was in the kitchen, and prepared a whole typical breakfast for her ignorant parents and for herself.

"Stella, my dear... Were you the one who prepared all of these?" Her father asked, while sniffing the essence of the fried eggs.

"Of course. I was the only one awake, Dad." She replied with a soft-tone, stirring up a cup of creamy milk.

Soon, Stella and her parents began munching on some perfectly-fried eggs, which amazed her parents. She must've had great skill at cooking.

"The taste suits perfectly in my mouth. Great work, Stella." Her mother implied, wiping of the residue on her mouth.

After they all ate, Stella silently collected the dirty plates and utensils. As she opened the faucet, she glanced at her parents who were waving a 'goodbye.' It was disappointing, whenever they left her all alone at their isolated house.

Their cottage was located very distant from the city, where a variety of crimes were committed. They all lived in a remote area, where many people struggled to search for their house.

Throughout her cleaning, she suddenly heard a weird buzzing noise. It was coming from below, but they didn't have a basement.

After a minute, the buzzing stopped. She also had that odd sensation where in someone else was staring at her.

"That must be my brain playing tricks again." She worriedly thought.

An hour later, she eventually was finished with her cleaning session. It was time for pleasant rest, or just vibe with some dance music. In fact, Stella usually does her favorite activities alone, without anyone from seeing her.

Several hours have passed, the moon had just rose towards the navy-blue sky. The sky was cloudless, allowing the moon to become the brightest object through the sky of darkness.

Stella never knew about sunsets and sunrises. She only saw the fake posters on her wall, that seemed like the outside world. She wanted to know what exactly was behind the entrance door.

A minute later, Stella found out that the clock struck exactly at 7:00pm in the evening. Instead of preparing a luscious dinner, Stella decided to gobble up a quick night meal, ever since she had felt weird sensations.

Suddenly, Stella heard the telephone rang. It rang together with a chill on her spine, because she felt like being watched. She ran to answer it, hoping it would be her parents.

And yes, she was right about her instincts.

"Stella?" A voice was heard from the telephone, which revealed to be her parents. They seemed to change their personality towards Stella, after Cassie's unbearable death.

"Mom! Dad!" She worriedly answered, as her heart pounded as fast as the train that was on tracks.

"How are you, honey?" Her mom asked, making sure that she was at her best condition.

"I feel weird, Mom. Ever since Cassie died, I kept on hearing a buzzing noise below our home. I also feel something off about our house."

"It's a hallucination, Stella. You can just go to sleep, then you'll be fine." She suggested, before the call surprisingly disconnected.

"H-hello? Mom?"

Stella laid in her bed, surrounding her entire body with a comfortable blanket. She currently felt afraid, as the staring sense continuously progressed.

The next morning, all what Stella felt was great exhaustion. Her eyes barely opened, urging to fall asleep once again. Although, she wanted to make her parents a satisfying breakfast.

As she stood up, Stella neatly folded her silky blanket, while struggling to walk her legs forward.

Then, the unexpected occurred. While she rushed herself towards the bathroom, Stella accidentally crashed herself onto the blank wall, and she felt like being sucked up by a vacuum cleaner.

After that feeling, she fell at somewhere far more dangerous, something more hazardous than real world.
